  1. I don't remember if I posted in here If I did, it was a while ago! Anyways, I feel like music, to me, really does define a roleplay mood. I can't quite get into the groove if I don't have some ambience. Here's some links for stuff I use when RPing as Lily (I'd use spoiler tags, but for some reason I kinda forgot how to, lel). (Really nice meditation music.) (I use this a lot particularly because I've used Yukari as Lily's faceclaim in the past, good for sad ambiences.) "Good Ending" Music (Definitely good to use when you end a RP arc on a good note!) (Good for "bad endings".) This is it for now because I could seriously go on for far too long--I think I might literally have a song for every RP occasion. x.x
  2. I tried out that Design Seeds thing and got colors for Lily! :'D Yes she is a parrot. Warm colors have always looked nice on her, I'll admit! As for Ella, hmmm. I always envisioned her to have softer colors than her mother, but she'd still stand out! Also, this looks very Ochu-esque and I think I'm in love with it. I'm also in love with this site. Thank you for namedropping it!
  3. I forgot, I should probably do one for my other prominent character, too. Ella Razaul Theme Ishgardian Ella VS Special Fight/Nemesis Stage Description More than likely, Ella would fight in Ishgard proper, on the dragoons' training grounds. Alps training dummies, some in perfect condition and others showing heavy signs of use, line the back walls. There are lancers training with them in the background. Try to spot a few NPC cameos! Moveset Description Ella is very much like her father as a lancer--medium- to long-range attacks, attempting to get close to an opponent before darting back into a safe zone. She doesn't have as much attack or defense as her father but is a lot faster, meaning her moves can be combo'd into rather easily once gotten used to. Special Moves (or Limit Breaks if you wanna be fancy) Special 1: "Don't Even Think About It!" A counter move that starts with Ella in a defensive position. If hit before the special runs out, she jumps back, swinging her halberd in a downward arc to trip up an opponent, before hopping into the air and bringing the bladed portion of her weapon down on the opponent's head like an axe. Special 2: Ring of Thorns A medium-range homing move, Ella jumps high off the screen, only to crash back down onto the ground, digging her spinning lance into the ground or the opponent's head! The fire that flips about her can cause splash damage if the opponent isn't backed up far enough. Special 3: The Really Annoyingly Long Sentai-Like Ultimate (aka, Dragonfire Dive) Ella's ultimate LB/special. Though campy, comedic, and over-the-top, this move makes her invincible! She starts off yammering a randomized, yet very sentai-like speech about her final attack. If she's interrupted, she will counter and immediately go into her final move while chastising the opponent. Complete with an anime-stylized "cut-in" animation, Ella seems to disappear into the stratosphere, before charging back down with her weapon at the ready, the flames around her forming the shape of a dragon! This is probably an instant-kill move for her. Nemesis Her mother, her birth father, and perhaps even that snot-nosed kid, Aramis... Intro Quotes Win Quotes Lose Quotes
  4. While I attempt to keep Lily as a support/background character, things/plots usually happen that unwittingly throw her into the spotlight. That being said, the way I've always played Lily is as a motivator--she's very inspirational, and has picked up people who have hit rock bottom and turned them into heroes -- even when her days of being a hero were at an end (and I mean that in the retirement/"I'm sick of this" way, not the more...morbid route). A lot of the time, alongside being a motivator, she's also been described as a knightly type--chivalrous, polite, can come across as a bit stiff, stifling and overbearing with the way she speaks. But she's very proud, strong, and independent, and I think the tone of how she's RPed is sometimes projected onto others in a negative/positive light. Whenever I RP, drama always seems to happen. IC, mostly, of course. She's thrust into a lot of grimdark or otherwise moody, dark, brooding or foreboding RPs; very seldom does she get the chance to be a joker and loosen up. And she does a lot of combat RP, for being a healer, which is something I just find odd.
  5. Ooh, yay! Colors! Lily? Errr...hmm. I think most of her gear sets revolve around a shade of red. Dalamud, Wine, or the Maelstrom red (that color that you can't quite match anything to. Curses!). It's always offset her white hair and lilac eyes. That being said, I think red is also a "power color" for her -- often noted as a color of passion, I've noticed that even I do better on the jobs that are often swathed in red! Her other colors revolve around snow/pure white, and surprisingly, Nophica Green. White can get a little frustrating to work with due to the fact that she has white hair, so Lily personally, I've noticed, tends to look better in fashion choices that have a bit more black or grey to them when choosing to dye something white. Nophica Green is on one set and one set only--her Dragoon set, in which she likes to fancy herself as a "Shroud Valkyrie". The name isn't actually given ICly, but it's something I like to call her. Plus, she looks good in it! ...And she'd be killed if she tried to wear Cactuar Green. :B
  6. Oooh, I LOVE these! I'M DONE TRYING TO FIX SPOILER TAGS. EDIT 2: I KNOW HOW TO FIX THE SPOILER TAGS AAAAAAA. Liliana Nazareth Theme Normal Fight Against Nemesis/Special Fight Stage: Coerthas Central Highlands - The Fury's Gaze There would be blizzard and night/daytime effects, all affecting the view of Ishgard in the background. Sometimes, you might be able to see a dragon or two flying around in the distance, at least on a clear day! Moveset Description Liliana, as a Scholar/Arcanist, is mostly a zoning-type. She has moves that can be used at both long and short range, and setting up juggles for each is a little tricky. Her strength lies in the fact that she is a technical character--not at all the strongest nor the one with the most defense, she is all about putting someone right where she wants them to be, then slingshotting ahead of someone for a clutch comeback. Limit Breaks Nemesis Lily does have quite a few different enemies and of varying degrees -- however, she would consider Lanza, an ex of hers, and "Inky" to be the "special bosses" of her campaign. 7. Oh no! I'm getting around to it; I was sending private messages back and forth. T_T I'm sorry! I didn't mean to ignore you. Let me send you a message as well!
  8. Playing as opposition, or hell, even playing it out that he's trying to bind or banish her would be fun! Also, yes, you have seen me before--we ran into each other in (*trumpet noises*) The Quicksands. I believe Kheo was enjoying trying to see how badly flustered he could make Lily, who was overhearing/eavesdropping on the conversation between him and J'azhar. YEP! Sounds accurate! A binding would be pretty entertaining, and it would bring on some character development -- something that's woefully hard to do in a character with the emotional range of a toothbrush. Hit me up any time! I'd be glad to work something out. Or just play randomly. Random play is great. EMOTIONAL RANGE OF A TOOTHBRUSH AHAHAHAHA. THAT'S GLORIOUS. But yes, I can see where character development would be difficult with that. Hopefully we can work something out! Keep in mind that Lily is not dead just yet, like I said, so any interaction right now would be with her very much alive and able to get flustered. I'm trying to work on her glamour for her "serfdom" gear...which involves a lot of Turn 2 spamming... T_T That's part of the reason why she's not dead yet! And also, of course! Random play is almost always the best way to go. Interacting while she's been summoned in that state could prove to be either hilarious or very serious, and either way it sounds like fun!
  9. Playing as opposition, or hell, even playing it out that he's trying to bind or banish her would be fun! Also, yes, you have seen me before--we ran into each other in (*trumpet noises*) The Quicksands. 10. I think...Lily would die in vain. Like, she'd feel that she was sacrificing herself for a cause, or fighting for what she believed in, but during her last breaths she would find that everything she was doing was for nothing, or that she was fighting on the wrong side. And as she goes to attempt to rally the others, she'd find that everyone that she was trying to protect would either be dead or have fled ages ago. Pretty much she would feel the enemy's weapon sink into her, and her heart stop as the realization that she was wrong about everything she'd come to know about her life in Eorzea. That, or she'd pull an 'Eren's mom' bit. xPw3GyTfJ3g
  11. My FC got the King Moogle Mog mailbox for the yard the other day. Was standing there with my BF in skype with me and I kept hearing the little noise it made. Didn't realize it was coming from the mailbox and thought it was coming from my BF's Skype. We both thought I was schizo until we realized where it was coming from. >.>; AHAHAHA THAT IS AMAZING. I would totally want that personally, but I think Lily would tear the mailbox to shreds in a fit of 'Nam flashbacks. +___+
  12. I'm going to feel bad about a couple of these, BUT. HERE GOES NOTHING. Thyrus. Yep, she owns that thing. She earned it, fair and square, by undergoing the rigorous trials during 1.0 that set her square in her place as a White Mage. When she was reunited with it after so long from being apart with it, Lily decided to have it undergo a few changes by extracting the soul energy within it, thereby "zenithing" it. The poor beaut has been showing some signs of fatigue from repeated, heavy use throughout the years...she's starting to think that perhaps a few new changes are in order. Her massive book collection. (Read: Almost every book equippable by a Scholar) Lily's a damn bookworm, don't let anyone tell you differently! Her collection is constantly growing and she somehow always, always has two or three tomes on her person, from normal field notes to shiny, arcane scriptures. Mostly the scriptures, because attempting to recite something written in tongues in the middle of battle proves quite humorous for her. Probably not for everyone else, though. Astrolabe. As a Blac--Thaumaturge (She's totally a Black Mage, SHUT UP OKAY), she helped design bits and pieces of the Astrolabe to mimic the Observatorium's massive astroscope, and had an artisan bring her vision to life. Granted, it cost her a hefty sum of gil, but she did not seem to mind, as whatever the artisan did with her weapon, it seems to channel and empower her thaumaturgy quite nicely. Mailbreaker. (Currently shattered) The Mailbreaker was a gift from someone, their own personal sword. Lily found it to be perfect for her; she wielded it in battle alongside this person for many a time until...well...certain events transpired, that Lily doesn't care to talk about openly. Even afterwards, she still wielded the weapon, though she was much tougher on it; her carelessness caused it to shatter during her (personal story arc's) fight with Gaius and the Ultima Weapon, and now she carries the shards with her in the hopes that she can one day recreate the blade to be stronger than before. I believe these are the only important ones!
  13. Like a lot of characters, Lily haaaaaaaaaaaates Garleans. Even after finding out certain things about herself. Garleans have taken away a lot of things from her and she thinks that once you're a part of the Empire, that never truly goes away. Liliana tends to think they're all double- or sleeper agents. Of course, this is if she ever finds out some of the people she cares for as friends are Garleans/Garlean sympathizers. 8D Another thing she...well, doesn't hate, but is more than mildly afraid of, are Roes. Even though she's worked with them for five years, their sheer size overwhelms the Midlander and she finds herself cowering in their presence. Doesn't help that one gave her a bear hug one time and almost snapped her in half. Also, she now holds incredible disgust for moogles. Though, that is actually stemming from a personal problem I've had with Thornmarch EX... >.>
  14. With Liliana? Start using contractions in her sentences! She always says "I am", "we will", "you have", "you would", "We are", instead of "I'm", "We'll", "You've", "You'd", or "We're". Dat Dravanian/Sharlayan upbringing, yo.
  15. Or in general, a summoned, contracted beatdown servant of sorts? What I'm offering up is this. Along with a long-winded-esque story, because I'm good at that. Basically, my character Liliana has gotten herself into some pretty deep trouble and will be dying at the end of this story arc. However, she is "voidtouched" -- actually, at this moment, pretty much entirely corrupted by the void that she could almost classify as a voidkin herself. This is part of a big "restart" project, as this RP arc that I was involved in has gone so horribly off-track that I have to do a few roundabout tactics and stories to get her back on the right track, in a matter of sorts. What I'm offering now, is a chance to have a supercharged Black Mage-classed, humanoid voidkin as a thrall to those who can summon from the Void. Or those, at least, stupid or curious enough to try. I think it'd be an interesting idea; a temporary servant able to fight the things you can't, do the things you can't do (or refuse to do because you're lazy and hell, if you're powerful enough to summon from the Void, you're entitled to a bit of relaxation!). However, like with everything in RPland, there are rules and regulations and I feel that with serfdom/playing a thrall, I need to lay these out rather plainly. 1. No Summoning just for ERP. I get it, we all do it; hell, I do it too. There's no shame in ERP. However, being a thrall or a serf that is summoned from the void DOES NOT MEAN that you are entitled to her body, even while she is under contract of your character. She still has a mind of her own and a very strong will, and Lily has never taken kindly to simply getting hit on...if you ask around, she's got a mean left hook and usually aims for the throat. 2. Contracts have a price. And no, I don't mean gil. Though, gil is nice...anyway. As a "voidkin", she'd be dealing in more intimate currency...namely, aether. Depending upon the contract, she will take from the contracting character a portion of their aether (and perhaps, should any others be involved, their aether as well). This does not mean she will kill a character unless the other player(s) is/are okay with that! I'm not entirely cruel, I enjoy fairness and I truly do hate attempting to take another character's life when it is unwarranted. Especially when it's unwarranted. 3. Abiding by the "True Name" laws. Just because you as a player can see Lily's name hovering over her head in whatever color text you made it, does not mean your character automatically knows her name. Lily will be wearing a mask a great deal of the time, and will be going by a different name. However, things like her voice, or certain mannerisms can be detected by people who do know her. If a person that knows her name even so much as whispers it within earshot, the contract she is abiding towards can be made temporarily null and void for a single action, be it confessing about something or even turning on her contractor. This, however, means that she is also entitled to siphon aether from the person in power of the "True Name Law", if she so chooses. 4. She's a bitch. And I mean that kindly. But no, really, even during her contract, Lily will be crafty and behave like any tricky voidkin would do; after all, she's trying to gain enough power to leave the Void permanently and live on her own; again, this is part of a giant "reset" arc to get her back into possible favor with the Light. But, she will perhaps siphon off a bit more (read: she's gonna drain the hell out of you) aether than she's supposed to, or perhaps do some other, craftier things. I wanted to be able to use this as a way for her to come back as a different class; perhaps being able to copy someone's class abilities from aether siphoning. I think it'd be fun and personally motivate me to level my last two Battlecraft classes through story. That being said, I really just want to give this arc an ending that I feel is right. While I adopted this story from my former FC, I feel like I was one of the few that kept it really going (though that may not be the case, necessarily) and I wanted to give it an ending the old leaders could be proud of. Also, Lily is not dead just yet -- I wanted to put this out there as a means of gaining possible future contacts and introducing new, fun, and interesting stories for both my character and yours. So feel free to hit up the thread or my inbox if you have questions, or wanna take a stab at having your own temporary personal boomstick!
  16. Cash money prize? Oh yes, I'll be sure to...attempt to be there! :'D
  17. My friend and I call them "black and reds", as a take on the old Irish slur "black and tans". Though, I can see that also being used by those who abhor the Maelstrom, as well.
