Hey gang, :moogle: Been a LONG time since I really role played. Between real life, burnout etc I'm finally ready to dip my toes back in. I've changed race and name so as to start over. My hours are a bit wonky but so long as I can plan in advance or encounter some random RP that would be great for me. As a side note, I've gotten really apprehensive about RP since I'm so rusty so I ask that you bare with me for a little bit. Anywho, Character name is Agrias Tatsutori on Balmung Server. She owns a gambling house in Shirogane Ward 8 Plot 19 so that could always be useful. Hope to see some people in game, :cactuar: :chocobo::chocobo::chocobo: Nel

Copied from GamerEscape: http://gamerescape.com/2014/03/13/new-enemies-to-slay-for-mad-loot-in-ffxiv-patch-2-2/ Japanese site Game Watch just posted a bunch of new screenshots for Final Fantasy XIV’s upcoming patch 2.2. Included in these are bosses for the upcoming dungeon The Lost City of Amdapor which features a zombified version of a goobbue and an iconic Final Fantasy monster as the main boss. Additionally, the Binding Coil of Bahamut will see the inclusion of Medusa, who Final Fantasy XI fans might recognize. But all of these are insignificant when compared to the inclusion of Bears. That’s right! Eorzea has bears now! And if this post from Fernhalwes is an indication of things to come, we now know that Yugiri is a long eared bear and that Othard is actually a lost bear civilization that houses ancient bear technology and worships bear gods. You heard it here first!

http://gamerescape.com/2014/03/07/ffxiv-patch-2-2-dungeon-preview/ Preparations for patch 2.2 are full steam ahead, and in today’s preview, we’ll give you a glimpse of The Lost City of Amdapor, as well as the hard mode Halatali and Brayflox’s Longstop dungeons! New Dungeons The Lost City of Amdapor Born in magic, the ancient city of Amdapor lived in splendor and died in agony. As the Fifth Astral Era gave way to the Sixth and the ensuing catastrophe, the agent of Amdapor’s destruction slept. Now, the seal that has held so long is softening like windfallen fruit─and what blind worms writhe behind the skin of the dead city? Level Requirement | Disciples of War or Magic level 50 Item Level Requirement | Average item level 55 or above Party Size | Four players Time Limit | 90 minutes Quest Name | One Night in Amdapor Quest Prerequisites | Players must first complete the quest “The Ultimate Weapon.” Hard Mode Dungeons Halatali (Hard) Halatali! The very name turns some spines to water and others to steel. Lurid marks of the recent lawlessness remain still, but daily the drudges conquer halls slick with ichor and doorways festooned with things not for gentle eyes. No less deadly for its newly-restored order, the fabled training grounds yearn for new blood─perhaps to brighten the freshly-scrubbed walls of its vast chambers. Brayflox’s Longstop (Hard) Brayflox’s Longstop is overrun with forces of the Illuminati; the furious goblin scholars are bent on recovering a secret recipe centuries in the making and a moment in the filching. Having been pressed into service as Brayflox’s boon companion, you have no choice but to disregard the facts of her thievery and defend the Longstop from all those who would seize it from its rightful holder. Halatali (Hard) Brayflox’s Longstop (Hard) Level Requirement | Disciples of War or Magic level 50 | Disciples of War or Magic level 50 Item Level Requirement | Average item level 55 or above | Average item level 55 or above Party Size | Four players | Four players Time Limit | 90 minutes | 90 minutes Quest Name | This Time’s for Fun | Curds and Slay Quest Prerequisites | Players must first complete the quest “The Ultimate Weapon.” | Players must first complete the quest “The Ultimate Weapon.” * Development screenshots are subject to change.

The outfit also seems to have a hint of Blue Mage style to it. Or Mime. But I highly doubt the latter. -

Along the lines of Yagiri being from Doma. I'm not going to toss my 2 gil about her race yet. However, Doma is not the first time that name has been used. http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Doma_Castle bi_Zex0qILc A hint of the expansion perhaps? Samurai, Ninja and Thief coming? -
http://gamerescape.com/2014/03/05/new-info-and-images-for-through-the-maelstrom/ Square Enix has just released some new information and images for FFXIV’s upcoming Patch 2.2- Through the Maelstrom. You can check out the new images and information after the break! Main Scenario: “Through the Maelstrom” Long dormant forces stir, their awakening a presage of night eternal. Political unrest pervades the three city-states as the Scions of the Seventh Dawn leave behind their home in the Waking Sands. For the betterment of Eorzea, they have re-established themselves beyond the reach of those who would sway the Scions for personal gain. Yet despite the Scions’ best efforts, balance will not be restored to the realm so easily. Ever do the mysteries of the Echo and the Ascians elude them, while the beast tribes rally with renewed ambition, threatening to unleash the wrath of another primal upon the land. To stave off the encroaching darkness and pull the realm back from the brink of destruction, the Warriors of Light plunge headlong into the maelstrom… Yugiri Hailing from the nation of Doma on the shores of Othard, Yugiri and her countrymen have fled their war-torn home and the oppression of Garlean rule in search of refuge. With supplies and hopes for survival dwindling, Yurigi seeks council with Eorzea’s leaders, that they too may call this land their home. New Primal: Leviathan The Whorleater (Hard) and The Whorleater (Extreme) The Sahagin, reviled beast tribe native to the Indigo Deep, have succeeded in summoning forth their voracious god, the primal Leviathan. How will the Warriors of Light stand against the might of the sea’s most diabolical denizen? New Side Story Quest Case of the Thieving Duelist When we last saw Hildibrand─agent of enquiry, inspector extraordinaire─he had received a letter of challenge from a mysterious marauder known to duel his victims and claim their weapons as his own. What will this battle hold for Eorzea’s favorite detective? Who is this furtive fighter, and will he be brought to justice? The answers to all these questions and more can be found by joining Hildibrand and Nashu on their next case. Gilgamesh Battle In his never-ending quest for power and glory, Gilgamesh─self-styled warrior of legend and collector of fine weaponry─now roams the lands of Eorzea. When a series of events leads to confrontation with this formidable foe, you must prove your mettle or see your blade lost to his ever-growing collection.

http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/special/2013/The_Starlight_Celebration/ A Winter Awoken? The Starlight Celebration is a time of generous gestures and festive fellowship, reminding us that even a customary courtesy can be a bounteous benevolence. It also reminds us of darker days in Eorzean history, which serve to make such deeds shine all the brighter. Several generations ago, a sanguinary struggle claimed countless lives and left full as many orphans homeless and hungry. Taking pity upon their plight, a company of Ishgardian knights sought out these children each night, furnishing them with food and shelter within their barracks. As doing so was positively prohibited, however, the knights had the children slip in while swathed in their scarlet jackets. Thus were they spared the worst of the cruel cold. These orphans survived the winter, and, later in life, they went on to convey the same kindness to others that they had once received. On the coldest week of the year, they took to sporting scarlet and passing out presents to the children of the realm. And over time, their deeds developed into the favored festival known as the Starlight Celebration. To this day, the people of Eorzea faithfully follow this convivial custom. Alas, due to curious circumstances, the Adventurers' Guild has fallen into disarray, and rumors of rescheduling the revelry run rampant. As a forager of facts, I am never one to put stock in speculation. To that end, I sought to substantiate my suspicions regarding a sinister stratagem to see our seasonal spirit squandered. A representative from the Adventurers' Guild informed of the proposed plan—snowmen, made with powdery stuff sleighed down from Coerthas. However, the festivities were frustrated when a flight of insidious imps appeared and attempted to melt the snowmen. Sentries scrambled to scatter the imps immediately, but to their surprise, the snowmen scarcely needed saving. If reports are to be believed, they attained awareness, fleeing from the flames and into the wilderness. Before indulging in the idea of sentient snowmen, bear in mind that imps are skilled at shapeshifting shams. In all likelihood, they assumed the appearance of snowmen they had sought to soften. However, on the off chance that the snowmen found feeling and fled of their own volition, Eorzea may find its starlit skies blotted black before the festival is finished.

I really hate it. Hate it so much >.< As for pose, either one hand on her hip and the other hanging down or brushing part of her hair from blowing in her face. Is Gilgamesh more active than Balmung RP wise?
Nel Celestine replied to Reibees's topic in RP Discussion
again with using the term legacy? can we stop mis-using that please? this is just turning into another "I don't like you because you've been playing longer then me" pointless arguments. I'm really tired of the fact that some of us who stuck out in 1.0 are being bashed for our dedication. we don't lord it over you. please stop perceiving that tattoo and slightly different chocobo as a great barrier of ego preventing you from rping and playing with us -

Nel Celestine replied to Reibees's topic in RP Discussion
I once again suggest asking a member of the officers for Intermission found here In addition, I'm surprised that chose not to attend the cold full moon gala then if you were looking for RP. There were well over players 200 in attendance. -
Is Gilgamesh more active than Balmung RP wise?
Nel Celestine replied to Reibees's topic in RP Discussion
I Rp when I can but you have to take into account a few things: 1) RP does not always happen where you are. Perhaps get an invite to intermission and ask for any RP in your area 2) game is not even a month old. People are STILL trying to clear basic content. People need to remember that this is a game as well. We are people and some of us do want progress as well as RP. We're not just going to stand around and talk from when we log in until we log out like timed NPCs. We are people on the other side of the screen with interests, goals and plans. -
Topic Bumped because many flyers handed out during the Gala.
