  1. I suppose if Enju were to be an npc, he'd be found in different locations depending on the current patch with different lines. Knowing him, he'd either have a lot to say, or very little depending on where he was in life, but a moment of time for a story never hurt anyone.
  2. I know you probably heard this a thousand times by now, but throwing yourself into things and seeing if you actually stick around instead of immediately bouncing back is a good way to do it. It's not events to rp in, but people too. It's what I do anyway. Sometimes you make a friend, sometimes you make no friends. It happens, and will happen a lot. I actually do not recommend events at first. Why? Mostly you're going to be another stranger in the crowd, and being the odd one out isn't exactly a good experience. Find people that are interesting, and if they stick by you, you should stick by them for a good while as your foundation. Welcome to Balmung. It's a jungle around here.
  3. Better Moogles than that idiot with the headband, kupo. Who would willingly name their child something so stupid anyway?
  4. Enju left for the Burning Wall as soon as he heard the trouble. He's definitely going in A.
  5. Put me on reserve. For what? Who cares, most of these Enju can reasonably get into.
  6. Enju /must/ go. He did swear he would, after all.
  7. I'll go with B. I must use ride. And it must work =D
  8. It was a while until he found someone at Zenith. The sun he went there, he was unable to find anyone, so was unable to give an answer to Anstarra, Orrin, or..ugh. Sea Wolf names are hard to remember. He can easily recognize her though. Klyn..something or other. He let out a soft sigh as he found a parchment, and began to write. He doesn't know how to reach the Sea Wolf, and can easily reach Anstarra to let her know what has happened. But Orrin? He must make amends, and this is the best way he can begin. Ser Orrin Halgren, I hope this letter finds you well, for I have good news. I have finally been granted audience by the dragons who reside in Zenith. They will come to our aid when the time comes should he dare try to defile her grave. There will be no need for the tools we used to defend Ishgard's skies. This letter will be brief save for one detail. Do NOT go in the air should Ishgard wish to send aid. I also wished to meet with you, in person. I wished to apologize for my harsh words, and I feel that I can only do so face to face. Where would the best place to meet be? I hope to see you soon. Skies be clear, Enju Abbagliato He sent it off to be delivered by moogle. What else can one do now besides wait? He looked along his weapon, and the stone that gave him power. One that can easily turn against him if it so chooses. Perhaps with this fight, he will not have doubt, as he did in the battle where he sacrificed everything for Eorzea, and Ishgard in his own way. She would be proud...
  9. Considering this is happening, I'd like to replace Qara in 'A Court of Owls'
  10. Enju looked through his mind's eyes as he stood along a broken field of battle. It was always like this, another nightmare to be live through as he did battle with himself, every sun. It certainly took its toll on him, as the fields changed, having much more time to devote to this now. It was Gridania, this time. He watched as scenarios of the past played in front of him. He looked toward the prisoners that were held by Neruhm, some died, some lived. What mattered is that they were all the same, the ones that he saw, that he knew. Jainelette had lost her mind entirely, yet they simply kept her locked up in a cage. A cage whose bars was too weak for someone like her. Her escape was known to him, but it was too late to do much now, or so he thought. The Wailers proved to be incompetent at best, corrupt at worst. Yet nothing will be done now that good men are gone. We did what we had to, but in the end? Nothing's changed. We 'saved' them, only to damn them to suffering or worse for however long they live. Was it the right thing to do to even spare them? The Wailers, well. It seems that all those who say they serve to protect are little more than wolves who prey on sheep. A figure approached him, the familiar one as a form took his figure, though it had no features, just an avatar of lightning surrounding an invisible frame. His fears, his inner dragon, taking many forms, and able to produce much when it comes to visions and nightmares. "You know little of what you are now, don't you?" His words got caught in his throat, lowering his head. As he took that stab to the heart once more, and let that hatred of the curse flow through him, he couldn't help but admit the voice was right. Have I lost my purpose, now with what has happened? Are people just unable to learn. What purpose is there with so little to follow? Who am I...?
  11. Enju had the eyes of a worried man as he glossed through the letter An had sent him. Nihka's missing? She was there a moment ago, a warm, wide smile on her face. He can remember it as if it was yesterday. He went to Gridania the moment he got dressed up, and began his search. He talked to the vocate, and several citizens with a hint of worry in his eyes. It took him several hours of asking about a Keeper in the Amphitheatre, but eventually one citizen said what happened. He could remember the words, or so he thought he heard the civilian as. "Oh, that one? Poacher got arrested. Surprised they were so bold as to be in the middle of the city." His rage was boiling at that, though to make a scene now would only make things worse, as Reppu reminded him earlier when he talked along the pearl with her about Weylan. The memory, or the memory they shared unwillingly played out in his mind, and he let out a long, soft sigh. He asked the civilian where they would take her, and the Wailing Gaol was the best answer he could get, so he went there, brows furrowed. At the Wailing Gaol, he asked the receptionist about Nihka. Released today, they said, her pearls returned. Maybe..he tried to contact her, and knew he would get no response. A vain hope, but one he had to try. He looked to the receptionist, stating, "If she was released and her pearls are returned, then why is she not responding?" The receptionist didn't have much more information, but did give a name: Egbert Stone. A cold trail. The worst scenario that one can have when locating someone. He remembers of times past, where a trail often meant one was dead or worse, loyal men turned heretic, heretic turned dragon. The fires of a hamlet. 'Oh Twelve, why must it be now that these memories return?' he lamented. There was one last place he could try, as the moon rose high above him. The ferryman. He looked to the man, with a stern look, asking about a Keeper of Nihka's description. The ferryman blinked, talking of Nihka.. "Oh, Nihka? She's a sweet girl, quiet too. Takes the ferry to and from the Lavender Beds often, but I haven't seen her in a few days now. But she spends her time in Ul'dah now anyway." Enju finally found someone that liked her, and this was when his face broke that mask of emotion. He looked worried, scared in front of the ferryman, rolling his lips inward as if trying to find the right words. He blinked a few times, nodding to reassure himself. 'It's happening again..what if she goes missing too..' He thought, though looked to the ferryman once more. "You haven't seen her? Truly?" Enju spoke, his eyes pleading for aid toward the ferryman. "She's been missing and was released this morning. If you have any information, please.." He said that last word in a near breathless tone. Seems the ferryman shared his grief. "I'm sorry, ser, but I haven't seen her. Wait, there was last night at the Amphitheatre...Probably headed back to Ul'dah." Enju knew of this information already, and so did everyone else. He merely shook his head. "I wish that were true. Thank you for your help." He looked toward the West, to the Serpent Gate, though knew it was already late. How is he going to tell Anstarra? She was right there, in front of him last night. Twelve, why didn't he just stay there? He could have stopped this! It was his fault... He asked the ferryman to take him to the Lavender Beds, a long boat ride of rotten silence the whole way through. He waved the ferryman in thanks before checking Nihka's room. Empty. At least he won't have to explain to Sehki what happened, or lie to her. He slumped in a corner of the room, sitting down by the wall. All that's left is to relay his information to Reppu, and to listen for Reppu's information in turn, if she had any.
  12. There'll be a log of the event, but I can contact you if you wish. I'll be on XIV in around two hours or so today, otherwise tell me when you're available and I'll tell you what I can.
  13. Okay, so my final time for the call to arms is Saturday, 5 pm PST. That's probably the best I'm going to get for now unfortunately, and I do not want to delay it to next week. RE: Reppu, still going to nag me on that huh? =P RE: Kiht, the meeting is open to everyone who participated in the event. I did send a letter to the Shroudwolf Clan in particular, and the word is supposed to be spread to get as many people as possible. It is /not/ a closed meeting. If you participated in Crimes Against Nature, consider yourself invited OOC. IC, the more people that are there, the better.
  14. Okay, so what works for you then? I can bump it up to early evening, which I'll probably have to regardless.
  15. Considering the Grindstone is happening on the day I am thinking of, I'm thinking this Saturday at 2pm PST. How does this work for those who wish to go?
  16. Okay but what I'm saying is, you're sending these letters...first, 5 days is not a lot of time. I work all this coming week. The only night I could possibly do this is probably Wednesday or Thursday night, since I open Wednesday and Saturday mornings. But beyond that, I have a job. More to the point, we are just coming off of the holidays. That's why the plot has slowed to a crawl. We had people out of town, unable to be online much due to work/holidays (that was my issue - I was working 6 day weeks with some 11 hour shifts), and, well, it was the holidays in general. I guess what I'm saying is, my character is getting a letter out of the blue from someone she doesn't even know. I'd like to attend. This letter gives me no reason to do so. She doesn't know who your character is, and there has been no RP to encourage her to attend. That may possibly change (depending on when I am able to RP, which won't be tonight as I work tomorrow and Monday, but probably before Wednesday), but I'm just one of those weird people who really needs an RP reason to see this as anything other than a threat IC. Because she has no idea who this Enju person is, has not worked with him, and recently had people she thought were comrades threatening her safety. Then we can figure something out. As I stated in the first post, I asked for days of availability. I'm not concrete on having it within this week, though I'd like it to be there if possible. I sincerely apologize if you consider a letter of diplomacy a threat IC, but there is nothing I can do about that. There's absolutely nothing that can be done on my end to change that. The letter is already sent out.
  17. He knows you're involved, though whether you remember him or not isn't his concern IC, so it is simply what it is. Regardless of him being known to you or not, he will have sent the letter regardless. Either way, this is why I encourage others to let those familiar with Enju of the letter to those who do not recognize or remember him, in case of this event.
