  1. I'm glad to have participated where I could in this event. Hopefully next time I won't get bombarded by another plot at the same time as this one x:
  2. Enju looked along the pyre from a fair distance away, believing he did far too little to help those who needed aid. He didn't want to be seen near the body, though he recognized Verad as he lit the body ablaze. His eyes were filled with anger, though his brow showed the pity he felt for the now fallen man. He can't really show how bad he was if he wasn't bad in the first place. So here he stayed, along the edge of a line to show respect or spit along his grave. He thought back to the conversation made between Anstarra and Evangeline. The tale of Leofric. He's heard of it many times, the sad tale between a knight and a supposed heretic. He accepted death when she had died, walking to the horde with nary a shred of arms or armor, letting whatever grisly fate come to him. To hear of the Mourner was the dragon this whole time. Was the tale true after all? His mind raced to many possibilities, the tainted memory burning into his mind as he recalled that terrible battle, thinking he may have been just like Leofric or the Mourner herself if not for his master's aid. She helped save him from himself, and that was a debt that will keep for life. He had a few words muttered, letting the wind catch them. But none were for the Hyur or Elezen. Nor was it for the Lalafell or Miqo'te or Roegadyn. It was for the heart that now remained seperated, and for the body of the No-Eyed Man. He spoke in the traitorous, heathen tongue. He knew of the language, but it was something every Dragoon knew, for each one could hear it speak in their mind. "Rhesh lo van hel. Min hil Leofric sai kril. Lech orr sel kril. Shess ftarh ah kril." ("I pity you, creature of man. Your heart might have been for Leofric's plight, but now it can rest. I hope yours was not of similar plight, but now it may rest with theirs. Please look forward to your eternal sleep.")
  3. This one won't be a character I make, but I enjoy the look of em so I made what ifs. Male faces are a bit too angular for my taste. Like the horns though despite how big they are.. FemJu Best I can do for male Au Ju
  4. His eyes went toward the bridge west of the Observatorium, north of the path to Mor Dhona. He dressed in his black chain mail, ignoring the advice given to him about wearing to blend in to his surroundings. He moved off of his chocobo, the bird scarred by battles of the past. He let out a soft sigh, waiting at the edge of the bridge for a familiar figure to show up. Ki'lari. He's been kinder to her these suns at least, so she was willing to head out here for him to give him that advice. She's been kinder in turn, and so long as they don't get in each others way, their talks are peaceful at least. He asked her earlier for advice, his ears open for her words as she spoke. He knew some of these things, yet he needed that refresher. It's been years since he tracked people, and he needed that time to remember his instincts. She came out from under the bridge, apparently beating him to the place. He hunted Dravanians, traitors and kinsmen both, but a rescue is different. Something struck out at him, an idea he's never heard before. "It was said long ago, that summoners could actually contact the larger real ones...nae make copies...that they would offer their power n' aid ta make sure the land was treated with respect n' protected. Even the Ice Queen Shiva would lend 'er cold comfort to harm those who went against 'er pact makers..." He wanted to yell at her at how foolish of an idea that was. Shiva? That heretic that started all of this Dravanian madness? Why would anyone decide to befriend her, let alone make a pact with the woman. His eyes grew cold, though he listened to her, trying to shove those thoughts away from his mind. "Mind ye, I think most of em went mad...but iffin yer deseperate n' really wantin ta find 'er....Find someone who can talk ta the ice spirits...they know all...S'how I track folks in the forest sometimes. The water spirits help me. I've lived with em most of me life even with the goblins...Haven't ye noticed?" He didn't notice the sprites helping her. How could he? He knew little of the ways of magic, let alone the movement of sprites. "The spirits...they tie themselves ta other things. Monsters, beastkin...trees...places.." It was this that he finally responded to, having something he can speak civil on. "The sprites seem neutral to all here, even in abundance. I was told of you living with the goblins, both from yourself and Reppu." "They have a voice...needs...they'll help those who can understand, but them stupid adventerers they attack em n' try ta take the crystals." He nods at that, letting out a soft sigh. Most of the conversation was a blur from there, his mind racing as he began to think about her safety. He closed his eyes briefly, quickly opening them once more as he began to see that damnable star again. "...n' fer gobs sake wear somethin' white next time." He couldn't help but to smile at that. They parted ways, unable to help but think on what was just spoken to him. Someone to talk to the ice sprites? He'd have to be careful if he chose that path. He doesn't need those that decide to do such be labeled as enemies of Ishgard. Who knows what they'd say if they saw actions like that.
  5. Personally hope they're the Faces of Mercy that were missing from 1.0. They do sound like the secretive type, so it might come into play. Will ask around with some of my static members when 3.0 hits, as their goals sound rather similar to what the group used to be.
  6. He couldn't help but groan when he awoke. He rubbed his eyes, the quiet night bringing some discomfort to him. Just how long was he unconscious? The last time was..nearly twelve bells ago if the chronometer was accurate. Was it this late already? He lacked energy as of late. his dreams becoming just as exhausting as his daily tasks. All he can see were those shadows, and that blasted red star. Every pulse the star made, a hammer along his chest. And each night he woke, he felt like his head was trying to tear itself apart. He couldn't help but to think of what the dreams were, but it was like something was blocking it. Even he couldn't escape the horrors six, seven years past. He didn't care at this point how long it was ago. But this was something different. It was as if his mind was blocking this memory intentionally, despite the horrors others forget, it was this odd memory that kept him awake. He reached for his pearl, hearing a familiar voice. "Where have you been?" He listened to Reppu ask this question, a hint of concern along her voice. An odd question from her. His doubts began to rise, though the sincerity of it was enough for him to answer. He knew she had business, and he would have attended but his dreams kept him bedridden. A hint of shame went across his features before he responded in the pearl. "I needed to clear my head. I need to speak to you soon about what is happening." His voice spoke in that neutral tone, hiding his worries. "Once this is done, of course." It was that short response that annoyed him, but she was busy. He couldn't keep too much of her attention now, of course. "Thank you." He set the pearl down with a soft sigh. His head throbbed once more. He couldn't help but to blink as he overheard the pearl less than ten minutes afterward, his hand darting to it as he listened to Kiht's voice. His hand quickly drew the pearl away at that crash, the sound drilling into his head like knives. He moved to immediately check his armor, making sure it was in good condition as well as his lance. He needed both, knowing the place as it was. Filled with chaos and the maddening star that summoned the draconic wrath each..how many years was it? 'Mattered little now', he thought. He had to wait, as much as it pained him to not go search for his friend immediately. He was hoping to speak to his dear friend, but business and errands caught the both of them. Reppu was long asleep by the time he was able to explain to her, but it was neither of their faults, he thought. He went to her door, armor and lance along him in the dead of night, the only thing giving his appearance away was the polished metal, the black chain nearly invisible in the dark. He stopped in front of it, not reaching to open it. "I'm sorry, but I must repay my debt." He spoke to the door, as if it would somehow retain the message of all things The aether wrapped around him as he began to whisk himself to Coerthas. He arrived in the fort, though he quickly abandoned it after paying his fee. Rest is not something he needs. He just hoped his friend would make it through the hellish nights. The first place would be the cave east of the Observatorium. Why was she here? Did she not have a clan to move? His eyes grew cold as he began to move, the servant's eyes turning to little less than one who would not hesitate to kill in a moment's notice. He hated the effect this place has on him...
  7. Honestly, most of Eorzea's inhabitants are racist as all hell. This is seen in countless examples throughout the game through Fates, random npc dialogue, and other means. I'm pretty sure some of the more local people would /not/ have liked the look of Yugiri, or may have tried to kill her by the horns alone. In fact, I'm honestly more surprised Haurchefant wasn't in shock with Yugiri, but he's such a bro in the English dialogue.
  8. This turned out well, and funnily enough you somehow figured out I wear red a lot IC anyway, though I'm sure that's just coincidence. Good work.
  9. Try the big fish ship in Costa? It's at least not docked, though I wouldn't call it a combat vessel :V
  10. I tend to not get a lot of action/adventure, but I am somewhat asking for it as an RPer who plays as a Retainer. I can't honestly say whether it's too much action or adventure yet since action/adventure is all I've done as an RPer on mmos before aside from social banter on the side.
  11. Enju will not get along with anyone he deems a stranger if they decide to touch him. He doesn't mind touching in and of itself, but it requires him at least knowing someone. Shoulder pats and the like are something he's used to and sees it as a sign of camaraderie between himself and others. Those close to him he'll often hug for comfort or squeeze along the shoulders to keep them steady. Touching his hair however, is something of a personal insult to him, and is reacted to with hostility unless it is someone close, or is forced to 'deal with it', which he'll find utterly humiliating.
  12. If RP gets to a point where I'm uncomfortable, I try and send them off or myself off IC or just step away from my desk. I don't stick around for RP I'm not comfortable with, and I make that rather apparent both IC and OOC. If they continue to pursue, that is where OOC, blacklisting, or a report comes into play depending on how stubborn they are. It's not worth anyone's time dealing with someone who desires to be a headache.
  13. Pretty much everyone :V Some are familiar, some not so much, though if I can meet as many as possible, it would be great. And for those I did meet before, it'd be nice to meet with them again.
  14. Enju looked along the scroll as he read the name. He gave off a soft sigh with a huff. "Another sun, another being who deserves none of the praise given. What a waste of time." He tossed the paper in the fire, shaking his head.
  15. 3.0 is going to be a big point for Enju from what I know. Seeing his homeland after five years as a 'stranger' is going to be rather disturbing for him, let alone what other things he's going to discover about at least one of his friends that he knew for a long while. Going from renegade to a phantom in Ishgard is an odd transition thanks to the time warp from Carteneau and how it affects others' memories of him. Au Ra and himself are not going to get along very well, if at all. He's hated dragons and hunted them for most of his life, and a draconian looking humanoid isn't going to help him feel better about it. They're just reminders of the 'evils' that heretics bring upon others. That mind set of order above all else gets in the way of pursuits he desires and keeps him strictly business, and I don't think that's going to change too much, if at all. Depending on how his interactions go, he'll either be in that hateful rut, or he'll support factions of dragons if such a thing even exists. He's not exactly stable when it comes to his mind, despite his best efforts to have it appear and be so.
  16. I almost never pre-order unless I know for a fact I'll enjoy it before the release even hits, no matter what happens. Burned a lot of money on games I hardly play because of pre-ordering, so I try to fight the urge not to. Then something like King of Fighters gets released on PC and I ignore that urge entirely.
  17. To self-demonstrate what some people will undoubtedly find elitist (and I'm sorry for this being "aimed" at you specifically, Anelia): Doton: 30 potency over 24 seconds/8 ticks for 240 potency Katon: 180 potency immediately Raiton: 360 Potency, single target 360 > 240 > 180. Use Raiton on bosses. Doton only beats Katon after 18 seconds of uptime. For talking about ninja abilities, I'm surprised you don't list Fuma Shuriken, as it's the only ninjutsu ability right now that is boosted from either venom, and doesn't eat into your GCD. Arguably, it is on par, if not better than Raiton currently depending on latency so long as it's not under the effect of kessatsu. Either way, I feel Elitism seems to have a nasty blend of being in cliques than it is in general RP. In fact, I've seen more of that eyebrow raising RP than seeing people go 'Oh, you can't do that because of X/Y/Z' OOC, at least to me or someone else. When it comes to closed RP, there is always the unspoken rule and do's and don'ts that are typically followed. Unfortunately, those rules that either someone else established whether through logical explanation or a flat rule tends to bleed into RP outside of that group. When that rule is broken, there is constant backlash, both passive aggressive and directly, and it's a rather tiring attitude to see. This is something I do see nearly all the time, and trying to have someone realize such is mostly futile. All one can really do about it is accept it, or walk away. Your choice really.
  18. We should talk then, because I'm curious on how it works historically, and don't really understand leather and plate outside of some light reading here and there. Wouldn't arrows pierce chain mail and leather at that short of a distance regardless if the armor was well made or not?
  19. Chainmail didn't actually offer much in the way of protection against a piercing attack, the reliance was on the padding people wore underneath for that. Chain was generally used as a force displacer against slashes such as against an axe or sword. True, but I'd still would like to have seen the armor than trust that this guy's half-draw pierced armor grade chain mail. Light chain mail was never much protection against arrows in the first place. It's simply loose links placed together, which an arrowhead will find a weak spot in there rather easily if the chain mail is loose. The chain mail in this video is decoration, and honestly is a false thing to look out for when it comes to arrows. Even if the arrow tip hit the link of mail, it will glance off the link and go to the desired target, albeit off-center. If you wanted protection against arrows, you would need something that is solid and had a foundation. Adding more links would do for that sort of thing, but also was a very expensive and time consuming process. That's mainly where plate mail and crossbows came in, one as an upgrade of sorts to tightly woven chain mail and the other to pierce plate from a distance. This is why the video referenced the leather underneath the chain mail in that demonstration and only referenced the chain mail off hand. The chain mail in question needs to have more links sewn together, which the coif represents more. If you wanted something that /could/ pierce light chain mail, bodkin point arrows would do, and he is definitely not firing bodkin arrows, since the arrowhead is too thick for that, and the point needs to be more like a spear and less of a standard arrowhead. Now the problem stating that, is that is what arrows are supposed to do in the first place. They're meant to go through leather and go to the squishy bits underneath.
  20. Not sure if you do ads on your stream, but I may as well be nice enough to turn off adblock, which I am terrible at remembering to turn off to support stuff >_>;
  21. "I'm a good destroyer of existence. 'Tis true I swear!" In short, from what little lore there actually is on the Ascians, it's god-modding being one at all. I mean, if you wanted to be a big bad, it'd be a lot more convincing playing a Dravanian, or Garlean, someone material than something that's akin to a demigod compared to everyone else.
  22. Remains to be seen if Blessing of Light is the same as the Echo. I am guessing it is not. If it was, the Ascians would still not be able to enter, because Minfillia. The Echo is not taken away. Remember, the Ascians speak an entirely different language than Eorzean. One who doesn't have the Echo, such as Moenbryda would not be able to understand it, which she stated plainly when she asked you what the hell whatshisface was talking about. The Echo is not the same thing as the Blessing of Light, the blessing was introduced as of 2.0, while the Echo has several areas both in 1.0 and 2.0 where it is used to understand those you normally wouldn't be able to.
  23. I hate not having any art of my characters. It makes me feel left out. You can always commission an artist, Rhea's commission topic is there for example ♥ Of course but I can never get enough money to commission one. I barely got over 100K gil at one time, but then I used it up. Mmm, You do know I'm right here right? Try talking to me, I don't bite. That's what you want us to think, and then you got a mouthful.
  24. I'd be interested in watching, as I posted earlier.
  25. Why not? I like watching things I have no understanding or concept of whatsoever, such as art, and drawing.
