Ya, I was hoping it would work." Askier sighed as he looked down at the hand again and shifted the thumb slowly, the electric tingle in his muscle tissue letting him know it had worked. "But Oria said it could be years before I had full and subconscious control over the wait a moment..." The miqo'te's head jerked up, fixing his gaze at Alexei as Askier gave the hyur a surprised expression. "Did you just use the words 'happy' and feel?" There was a mixture of both excitement and surprise in the Garlean's voice as he realized he had never heard the emotionless Alexei use such words in such a context before.
-
"Hells, Alexei." Askier snorted in amazement at his friend's disposition. "Everything that happens to you is just something you'll life with." Askier shook his head, marvelling at the hyur's ability to shrug off physical damage with zero negativity arising. The miqo'te felt a small degree of jealousy, wishing he possessed the same mental strength to be so dismissive in regards to some of his own, personal ordeals. "Alright. Lets give this exercise of yours a test.". Askier licked his lips as he looked down at his metal hand, studying the steel and the screws. He focused on his middle finger and shifted it as his eyes watched. He felt the nerves spark where the wires met flesh and bone and watched the finger move. The miqo'te took a deep breath and then closed his eyes. He tried to picture the finger in his head. He tried to simulate the sensation in his nerves. He swallowed and kept focusing. The metal hand was still. After a few moments, Askier opened his eyes and blinked at Alexei. "Anything?" Askier asked tentatively.
-
Askier's gaze rose from his metal fingers to the limping hyur, the miqo'te flicking his ears occasionally as he listened, his fuzzy brown tail wrapping around and resting in his lap. "I'm willing to try your exercise but you sure we need to be worrying about my arm when your leg is still acting up?" Askier inquired, genuine concern for his one-time-attempted-murderer-turned-friend crossing his ashen face.
-
Rubbed his tired eyes with his right hand as he slowly sat up, the dim light dilating his pupils. "I slept pretty well...for once." Askier gave a sad smile and rolled his neck to the left, his bones popping audibly as he winced and then sighed. He blinked a few times and the looked down at his left hand. He felt nothing, but felt his shoulder tingle as he made the magitek hand wiggle each finger in turn from the thumb to the pink. "Other then the disorientation from not being able to feel anything when I move it and the weird tingle in my shoulder, nothing serious. Should probably speak with Oria for the adjustments she told us about for it.
-
Askier's sleep has been sound, his mind mercifully devoid of dreams of any adjective. His right arm was wrapped around the stuff animal tightly and his curled body was warm underneath the coat. He was content. But his ears twitched and he heard distant voices. He started to stir and the, as Erik patter his shoulder, his right eye opened and he gazed at the wall. He blinked and then slowly rolled over. In the dim light he saw Erik walking up the stairs and Alexei looking over. Askier yawned and nodded. "I miss anything important?"

balmung Looking to embark on a dark plot line
Askier replied to Gaspard's topic in Chronicled Connections
Yay plots! If you need access to some assassins or extra PC villians for your plot ever, I know a lot from my recent event as jin'li and can let them know. Also I still have an evil npc called The Doctor should you ever need evil science or posion made. -
A word of advice: Tiny male Miqo'te are generally shifty and should be avoided! That's a stereo type... it's not just the short ones!

Merc will go fix Kage, don't worry too much. In Eorzea, magic band-aids cure everything... But what about... EVERYTHING! (Unless the player of a character says otherwise ) -
You sure you can reach? LOL HEIGHT JOKES. *Jin'li walks away and then returns with step ladder* Solution to height issue jokes.

So for Osric's birthday, Askier should -not- give Osric a collar that says: "Kanaria's?" Just double-checking here. ...is it made of leather? This is why we can't have nice furniture in the FC house!

Tomorrow is the big day. First off, awesome post Naih'ir! Loved reading that and fun to see how the research side of things has been going. For event tomorrow: I am honestly unsure of the exact head count of both sides at this time honestly considering how many people have joined in over the past week. I would say more npcs would be appreciated if you know anyone whom is interested in joining at this point. When: Tomorrow, we will begin gathering outside the Gate of Thal at 8:30 Central time. We are giving ourselves about 45 minutes to organize everything and the sides. We aim to actually start around 9:15. Where: Heroes will meet Kahn'a directly outside the Gate of Thal and form groups of three. The NPCS, will meet Laforet and myself at the Tree of the Sultana. What to wear: Heroes may dress however they please. Or not at all if that's your thing, we aren't picky. lol. NPC's we ask that you wear either the Shepard's tunic, or something white and cloth-ish for a chest piece to help you stand out. Objecive: The goal of each hero is to slay at least three npcs zombies and then move down the road to the Sultana tree and fight Laforet, the black mage in control of this npc army. One he is defeated, the heroes win. Note, if a hero would like to just keep pummeling zombies, we will have a 1,000 gil prize for the best zombie killer, cause, why not? How will this work: Once the groups are gathered, the NPCS will move up and start matching with the hero parties of three. Our aim is to have at least 1 NPC per group of three heroes. Combat will use normal combat rules with these exceptions: NPC's have 1 hp, but when they are hit, they keep going, representing a slain zombie and another replacing them. Heroes need to keep track of how many npc'c they 'kill' because once a player has killed three, they may leave their current party and move to fight Laforet by the Tree of the Sultana, or keep pummeling zombies. Heroes will have 4 hp this event to help them weather the assault of never ending zombies. Laforet will only have 3 hp because most heroes will be slightly wounded by the time they reach him. What about Jin'li: At this time, whether or not I am able to rp Jin'li elsewhere fighting is dependent upon the number of NPC's I have. My main priority is that there is at least one npc per group of heroes. So long as this is achieved, I can rp. If not, I will happily be an npc for this event. I will not know about the exact numbers till tomorrow but will update those whom are planning on hunting him down after this post. What happens after this event: Well, due to rp reasons, after this event, all that will remain will be to kill Jin'li. Jin'li has lost almost all his allies, and has no real power of authority anymore. Likely this will be a small event but will have to wait and update ths information further after tomorrow's event. What about Erk and the sultana attack rp: I have already reached out to Erik and am working this out. This side event will, in no affect the main event at the Gate of Thal, and is primarily there to help conclude story arcs forseveral pc characters. Remember, there will be NO Sultana npc what so ever. Closing: I am looking forward to tomorrow and hope to see everyone there. NPCs are still in need so if anyone you know want's in, please have them read the combat rules and this above post and we should be good to go. There will likely not be a 3rd part to this event due to rp developments but, that's how rp works. Everyone on this forumn, and by extension, the server are awesome and I hope that those whom offered feedback of any type can see a conscious effort on my part to actively incorporate feedback into my event. If anyone has any thoughts on this, please comment below. Also, this wall was typed on a phone while at work...cause I love you people enough to make my thumbs suffer. lol -
Blood on the Sands Episodic rp event (Rules for Event 2 in first post)

So idea for fight. Everyone gets zombies, which have one hp. Once a player has killed 3 zombies they can then, either, keep fighting zombies or move to fight Laforet. Thoughts on this?
