So we all know the classic RPG fighting options... Fight, Run/Escape, Magic, Skills... and Special Skills for those snowflakes! But there's one other option that's important to every adventurer; Item! What does your character always carry on them? Do they use these for combat? Or are they alternative weapons? Or just special tokens or things they keep just in case? Where do they keep all these things? Go crazy, kleptos. Oscare actually had a belt satchel full of bags of whole bunch of junk he has on him at all times. A set of bandages, because you never know when things go down. An extra (two) set of ammo boxes for his pistol, with the pistol holstered right next to them. A dagger, sheathed. Vials. Looots of them. He keeps small potions, hydrogen peroxide, and snake oil. The first two follow the use of the bandages... but why does he have snake oil on him at all times? A picture of his two sisters, stashed at the back. Newspaper clippings of a recent murder case. ICly dated as [4/21]. A set of tools hanging off the back end. A flashlight and compass right next to each other. A block of wood and a carving for his carving urges. Gotta have a hobby. A canteen. A notepad and pencil in the cases he needs to write something down. He swears he isn't paranoid... but a quick look at his waist might beg to differ.

I think I just died of cuteness. Because those are pretty damn fucking cute. -
C'mon gals. Let's all have a grand old time.

Some people don't like people. So no, not everyone likes everyone or is friends with everyone. We can pretend that we do, but others don't like to pretend either. Tension exists, but it doesn't mean we have to let it inhibit us or our actions. We simply have to live with it and learn to control it so it doesn't cause more grief.

Removing rep is just putting a band-aid on a gash. People like the rep because it helps others feel good for a post they made. For example; you sat down three hours to make this wonderful shortstory, it helps to know that people liked it; or if the user made an excellent point and people liked it. If people are misusing it or using it to promote bad behavior, then that's a problem that needs to be individually addressed between the user and the moderators. In other words: it's not going to help, to put it bluntly.

Kurt drops the best weapon, a weapon so powerful that it meeds three series of anime-style-filler 160 quests just to power it up. Then another series of 200 quests to steal it back from some random sidewalk thief that's actually the number 1 rogue in the world, -

Head bandanas are cool. -
Right now, we have 110x110 avatars available, and people like to use character art for their avatar, and most of the time they emd squished because of limited pixel space... Would it be at all possible to extend avatar dimensions? Something like 450 by 190, so that it doesn't hyper extend or hyper width threads.

If 'popularity' (which to me if you go out and find RP, you'll get it. Simple equation) contests are breeding aggressio, then thus is another example deviating from 'all aggression comes from disagreements'. Another point I'd like to bring up is tolerance, which is an important ingredient if we all want to get along (which the cold truth is that there can never be true peace, people will always find something they dislike... but this is why tolerance becomes more importan) . If you find something you don't like at all? It really just grinds your gears? Accept it as an ideal and an ideal only against your values as opposed to a weapon. A lot of times we feel like we're endangered by the majority. And so what if you are? You're going to sit there and argue for all the wrong reasons? Of course, if someone says something that is just blatantly wrong, then there's reason to argue, without the need to be angry. Tolerance breeds acceptance, which breeds peace. If you're offended, think about why, then reevaluate. If you're angry over an opinion, there's no reason to. If the other party refuses to listen, stop wasting your time.

Clio is hilarious in thinking that Oscare talks. -
I honestly think this goes a little further than just; 'I don't like what you said, therefore you're offending me directly'. Warning that this post might come off as a little crude, so apologies in advance. There's definitely an overlay of just inner tension and the need to just point out the tiniest semantic or flaw in someone's thoughts -- even if you agree with it or not. I think it's a nice reminder that not all aggression comes from disagreements, but sometimes people just get worked up that their opinion seems to be the minority or they feel like what they think is absolutely ridiculous compared to what another group thinks. And yes, while that is what we would define as a 'disagreement', the aggression didn't stem from the disagreement, but more from the imbalance in population of people who think the same way you do. Cuideag makes a good point; some people are just get angered easily. In this case, it's a problem of sensitivity, which can easily be solved by simply being careful about how you come off when you post or who's posting what. If you know you're going to get set off easily because it's a subject you're sensitive about, it might just be best to not dig your nose in it. Always preview your post and read it over before you post saves a lot of grief in everyone involved.

Clio drops a pair of boots, exclusively equip-able only by Oscare. Otherwise, you get the Hot Blonde skill... even if you're not blonde. -
Let's talk nerd, yo. So as of yesterday I was speaking with a couple of people about how excited we were for Heavensward, the Heavensward release trailer in comparison to Final Fantasy IX's was brought up. So like a flock of nerds, theories came up. My personal theory (which is similar to one of aforementioned nerds) if XIV-Alexander is as similar to IX-Alexander as SE is heavily implying it to be, then here's my thoughts; Alexander means 'defender of man' in Greek. IX is proof of this -- he is hospitable, having an entire city built on his back and people inhabiting this city. Throughout the game, Bahamut threatens to eliminate the world and the game is revolved to reactivating the oldest primal to date -- older than Bahamut -- Alexander. In Heavensward, the topics seem to be two things; Dravenians vs Eorzea, and reactivating Alexander. We're seeing a pattern here. Methinks that Alexander is going to be Eorzea's secret weapon, and Alisae (who might follow her brother and Warrior of Light to Ishgard) realizes this. She once again sends adventurers through five patches and X amount of Binding Coil of Alexander turns to turn Alexander back on. If Alexander remains as powerful as he was in IX, being able to just shrug off Bahamut's limit break, Teraflare, then he'd be able to realistically obliterate Eorzea's enemies out of orbit before returning to dormancy. However, things can't be so simple. Alexander is home to mankind. He has a castle and city on his back... what if awakening him and using his power rids the problem... but destroys Ishgard? I surmised that the Main Story Quests lead the WoL and involved NPCs to find an alternative to defeating or coming to peace with the Dravenians... but Alexander is still there for the "You Give Us No Choice" extreme. The Dravenians know they can't beat Alexander, so with that, they either give up because the costs are too high for all involved and know there's no winning -- just because Alexander is awaken and ready to fight for the Eorzeans. Of course, this is all conjecture. Anyone else wanna share their theories?

Erik drops another FFIV reference. -
A lot of it has to do with the recent uprising of Heavenward information. There's been a lot of disagreements over many things, most namely Dark Knight. All the aggression in those threads leaked onto other, unrelated to Heavenward threads. With the actual release of the expansion, most of it will (hopefully) die down. But yeah, not everything can always be positive like Aya said. The best thing to do is just step away from the places that are heated and enjoy the things that aren't.

Blonde, blue eyed, midlander, lancer, dancer, bartender, and Ishgardian? I don't think there's a reason to not like Aya. -
Yeah, I would like a male long ponytail. Oscare would so totally use that for formal occasions. I dunno why they keep coming out with things like the samurai hair (even though I could think of a couple of people who could really pull that off!). After reading the blog post, the hairstyles are exclusive to the gender they're displayed on. Just a note for those people who thought the long ponytail was unisex. Also, +1 vote on my end for crewcut.

I'm a fan of the ponytail and the sideswept on the elezen. I might use that sideswept for formal occasions. Ohh.
