these are some question about the miqo te?

I'm pretty sure that it's mentioned somewhere that Lalafell commonly live to be over a hundred, as well. -
Orlog's butts, butts, butts, and sometimes art thread.
Adelpha replied to Orlog's topic in Artisan House
I was promised butts. What's the deal? Oh, and fantastic art. 8-) -
Two 50's, though mostly just focused on one. I'm only somewhat geared up on one class. Level 20 or less in all crafting disciplines, and level 30 or less in all other battle/magic classes. Did very little of the endgame because inertial motion and spellcasting lag made for fairly unfun times.

You will need a whole new client, yes. (The phase 1-3 client is obsolete, and the phase 4 client will also be used for early access and the retail release.) Good point about it not being available yet, though. In any case, all we can do is wait and see what gets announced on Thursday.

With all due respect, I think that your OP in your Beta forum thread doesn't convey this point of view at all. To me, it comes across as populist-style propaganda against Balmung, citing a list of supposed reasons why no one -- new and returning players alike -- should ever want to play on Balmung: "The fresh, perky new RP server!" (Balmung is old, tired, and worn out.) "Are you a storyteller? Do you want to try new things, themes, and spin a different kind of tale from the usual kill-the-wolf, avenge-my-father, I-was-molested-as-an-elf-child, dark-magick-made-me-do-it jibberjabber? Perhaps you've seen enough of that on some other server?" (This seems to be directly implying that the quality of RP and/or player-crafted stories on Balmung is poor, and Gilgamesh will somehow be better in this regard. I have no idea what the basis for this is.) "Then, do you want to come back to your home city and throw a celebratory in-character bash people will actually attend, because they like that sort of thing? I hope you've got one of those 50-in-every-class/job legacy characters to return to, 'cause those guys will have the raid content nuked so fast your head will spin. If you don't have an all-50's juggernaut waiting for 2.0, your choice is clear." (As said before, this entire thing -- if it's even a real issue at all -- will be moot in a few months. Personally, I only have two 50s, and a lot of fresh players will be 50 and pushing towards endgame content before early access is even over. I think this is a pretty short-sighted thing to cause a schism over.) "[balmung is] all well and good, if you want a pecking order in place when you arrive." (I have no idea what this is referring to. Is there a "pecking order," as in people who are in charge or hold an authority over others? Not that I've ever seen. And those that do try to assume a position of "RP authority" generally get seen for what they are, laughed at, and ignored. I've never seen this happen, either to myself or anyone else. Asserting this fact to new/undecided players seems intentionally deceptive and serves only to create animosity between the two server communities.) "Your choice is a no-brainer. You don't want to be the small fry in a pond full of legacy whoppers." (Same as before.) This basically reads to me as "Balmung's okay...if you want to be insignificant in the community, shunned, left in the dust, and ignored by elitists." None of which, I believe, is true. I understand that it's written as an advertisement which by nature are one-sided, but I dislike it for the same reason that I dislike political attack ads. It may be technically true (or not), but the effect on the community's health is a net negative regardless of the intent behind it. I'm all for supporting the Gilgamesh community for people who truly want to start a new community and/or get a fresh start. I could list off a relatively level-headed list of pros and cons for both servers, to help new players make as educated and informed of a decision as possible. But one-sided advertisements like this feel sort of dishonest and mean-spirited. We're all on the same side, here; why does this need to become so hostile? That's all. We should be helping people find the place that's a best fit for them in a forthright manner, and both sides should have the integrity to not slander competing servers. (It depresses me that I can even call them that.) It's role-play in a video game, that's all. Let's help people figure out where they might be happiest, and put aside our personal agendas long enough to do that. Come on, guys. We're all adults here.

It's right here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/square-enix-software-token/id617970570?mt=8 (If that doesn't work for you, it's under the name "SQUARE ENIX Software Token".)

I seriously doubt it will happen at this point. Legacy server transfers are over, and SE would have to open up transfers again just because of this. On top of that, a lot of Balmung players have non-RP friends on the server, or others who wouldn't be willing to transfer. On top of that, there'd still need to be a Legacy and Non-Legacy server since some people feel very strongly about starting out on a fresh server. Since we already basically have a consensus-based Legacy and Non-Legacy RP server, I'm not sure what an official designation at this late stage would really do, aside from probably cause even more trouble. Kyatai's response is basically all that needs to be said on the topic.

Made some more tweaks. The main thing that I've been wrestling with since phase 3 is that from a distance, everything about her just appeared brown, brown, brown. Her hair was brown, her skin was brown, her eyes were dark yellow (which appeared nearly brown), and her lips would appear brown everywhere except very bright outdoor environments. So, I tweaked each of those things slightly to give her some more color. So, I bumped up her hair color a single shade, gave her some lip color, and changed her eye color. Odds are I'll continue to tweak it up until phase 4 starts (especially the eye color, which I'm still very much experimenting with), but I definitely like having some more color in her face now.

This did it for me, on the latest version of Chrome. Thanks!

Yeah, Time Cube Guy! David Icke (the Lizard People guy) gets an honorable mention.

Fantastic arrangements; I wish I could arrange this well! The only thing I have to comment on is that most of the tracks I've listened to sort of seem like they're roughly the same volume all the way from beginning to end, and I think that they could greatly benefit from some more dynamic range (one of the greatest strengths of solo piano compositions, IMHO). Then again, there are some parts that seem to have the tonal quality of notes played forcefully, but they're still the same overall volume, so perhaps there's just some sort of volume normalization going on? Or maybe it's just my ears being crazy, who knows? In any case, great stuff!

The art of Distraction: Keeping yourself busy till phase 4
Adelpha replied to Felix Sideris's topic in FFXIV Discussion
The recent Steam Sale has been working pretty well to keep me busy until early access. -
I don't often play mobile games, but some of my cheap/free go-tos are Game Dev Story, Super Stickman Golf 2, and Danmaku Death.

Hi there! Cool idea about the weekly event; I think it could lead to a lot of good RP opportunities. About the concept of the actual "Eorzea Adventurer's Guild" hall, though, there are already things called "Adventurer's Guilds" in each city-state. At each of these guilds, levequests (essentially, contracts for odd jobs and missions) are available to adventurers looking for coin, there are bulletin boards for other job postings, and there's also a bar, large seating area, and overnight lodgings available. ICly, I believe adventurers would also have the ability to post jobs of their own for other adventurers to take on. It seems like this overlaps considerably with your concept. OOCly, these buildings are where you go during the intro questline, and are also where you can access levequests and your inn room. If you already know about this and have a specific niche in mind for your concept that makes it distinct from the game's extant Adventurer's Guilds, then cool! It'd be nice to know why an adventurer would choose your establishment over the more established Adventurer's Guilds, so perhaps you could provide a bit of additional information about that. If you didn't know about this, then no big deal; you can probably still tweak it slightly to keep the core concept that you're looking for, but allow it to more naturally exist alongside the guilds that the game already offers. Perhaps there's something that your establishment can provide to adventurers that the regular guilds don't, or something that makes them distinct from the larger Adventurer's Guilds that would make an adventurer want to go to your guild for work rather than the larger ones. Or, even if you don't want to do that, perhaps there's some way that you could integrate your "player-run" concept into the existing Adventurer's Guilds, by having player characters serve as employees or something.

male Keepers of the Moon possessive spelling
Adelpha replied to speitzer's topic in FFXIV Discussion
I think your example would personally confuse me, or at least cause me to pause to process it for a moment. ("Spei'lis object? What's a 'spei'lis object?'") I think you'd just be trading one readability problem for another, IMHO. -
The Sagolii Desert is very different from most of Thanalan; it's just rolling sand dunes (with some minor landmarks like ruins interspersed). Not much in the way of civilization, aside from a few excavators at Byregot's Strike. You can see it starting at 21:10 in this video: .

I'm very much looking forward to working on a relic too, now. I just didn't have the fortitude to tough out what you had to do in 1.0 to complete one. Massive respect to anyone who did.

If you're able to add custom CSS, perhaps you could add a style to hide the register button? Not the same as removing it, but it's something.

"There'll be something other than guildleves to do at endgame, right? ...Right? RIGHT?" At launch, there was literally no content other than the underwhelming main story/class quests, guildleves and behests. No regular quests, no dungeons, no NMs, no group bosses, no nothing. Looking back, Tanaka's whole "only 20% of the game's content will be accessible in beta" (or whatever it was) lie is all the more insulting. The fanboys/girls who claimed that the game was great and that SE were visionaries were even worse. I tried out RP (having never done it before) because there was literally nothing else to do in the game, and I made some good friends because of it. I'm glad I stuck around, but man, even I had to take a few months off here and there. Remembering back to the days of doing Broken Water leve parties week after week after week gives me PTSD. It's the reason that I only have two classes at 50; props to those of you who maxed out everything, but man, I couldn't possibly imagine playing 1.0 that much. EDIT: Man, you reminded me of some things that I'd forced myself to forget about, like 25,000+ gil NPC repairs (only up to 50% in beta, and 75% at launch!) for weapons that broke after an hour of play. Repair NPCs also didn't repair jewelry at all for a while.
