  1. Inessa followed in right behind Meiko but kept an eye out for trouble. A dimly lit room was a perfectly bad way to get shot by someone waiting in ambush. Noticing the top hat, Inessa walks over to it and and examines it carefully. A hat that matched the client's description in many ways was conveniently lying in the middle of the room may have been a trap. She places her hand on it, taking a mental note to not pick it up yet because it might be wired to a mechanical trap of some sort. Inessa decides to examine the area around the hat carefully as well as looking towards the ceiling to check if there were any open windows or ways the intruder could have broken in. it was unlikely that he would have came in through the front door, unless he had an invisibility spell of some sort or was using masks that would disguise the thief as one of the people who belonged there, similar to the case that Hildebrand and his bunch were involved in not long ago.
  2. ((I fixed my last post because I did not know that the other person was a Hyur. )) Inessa's expression grew fairly alarmed. She grabbed the Miqo'te attendant and pulled her away from the partially opened doorway. Inessa, without saying a word, held her finger over her mouth as a visible sign to both of them to keep quiet while Inessa herself grabbed the grip of the longsword on her back. Not yet drawing it, she attempted to peer inside and see if there was anyone in there or something out of the ordinary.
  3. I only said something because I really did like the event. Even if my view's don't agree with your own, I will accept that and bow out of the topic. Your event, your rules, however, as a participant and event goer, I do have the right to voice my opinion, especially on a public forum but I digress. Have fun with your event.
  4. Yes they should, it's their event. It let's down the people who made time to participate. If you refuse someone just because the roster is uneven then not only is that unfair to them but it's a very jerk-ish thing to do in general. Ive listed possible alternatives for Flynt to adopt. Its his choice if he wants to, but im going to not come anymore if people are going to be kicked out just because of an uneven roster.
  5. How do you tell who will be there first and who will be there last though? Like, anyone could go and say they have been there for a while and your likely not to keep tabs on who comes and goes so that rule itself would be flawed.
  6. Inessa turned to face the Hyur that began speaking to her. "Yeah, im Inessa. Im a little busy at the moment so if you came to offer me a job, it will have to wait." Inessa a little too preoccupied on her own thoughts to be bothered with someone she did not know. Admittedly, she had began to question the reason why the Noble had a prisoner locked up in his basement. Either he is misguided and picked up some random nobody informant on the street who might have known something, or there was more to this. Either way, after speaking with the crafter who made the hat, she would need to get ready for tonight.
  7. The event was great and very fun last night. Though I do have a huge beef with the judges trying to eject one of us to stabilize the rosters. They should not have the right to reject people if they want to participate. (Unless there is a more underlying reason for ejection, like God-modding or drama, but that was not part of the issue or the cause of it.) Edit: However, offering incentive to drop out on the flip-side of things wouldn't be too bad of an idea. Just offer proper compensation for the person that drops out should a few people need to be dropped to stabilize the rosters. Example: Judge: "Hey, there is too many people. A few of you need to be dropped." Participant: "Hey! You cant do that, we want to fight!" Judge: "I will give 10k to every person who volunteers to drop out." Participant: "Well, when you put it like that. . ." Well, not exactly the best example, and the player would need to agree to drop out on his own (which means he would need to either settle for less or try and shoot for more if he is lucky) But it's better than ejecting someone just because there are too many people.
  8. OI! Tell me when and where and ill get the crew together!
  9. Inessa rolled her eyes and returned back to her paper. Clearly, she did not think it was worth the effort to dealing with the Tin Idiot, so she set her cup of Coffee back down on the counter and returned to her paper. The Tin Idiot clearly did not understand how Inessa thought and interpreted things. In fact, she found it insulting that he would set rules and that he said that Inessa agreed to them using clever word's and bending the truth. However, Inessa was not about to start anything. While she would love to beat his face in, there were others here and she wanted to be respectful and mindful of the other patron's, so she swallowed her pride a little bit and decided to focus on her reading. Of course if the Tin Idiot threw the first punch, then Inessa would have a BEEF with him. ((Im so not sorry))
  10. The fabled Black Cloaked murderer has struck yet again, this time, he took the life of a child instead of a woman. The attack happened in broad daylight. The assassin, perched on a balcony overview of the Market shot at and attempted to kill yet another young maiden with bright red hair. Instead, a young child noticed the assassin and what he was about to do and stood in the path of the arrow as it descended towards the maiden. The arrow stuck the young boy in the heart. He died instantly. To protect the safety and identity of the woman, she has been taken into protective custody of the Brass Blades and her name withheld. However, the name of the child has been given to us. The child's name was Zackary, or Zack. He was young. Fourteen cycles of age. Was aspiring to be a Sultansworn when he got older, but instead chose to cut his life short to save another. A valiant yet sad end for someone who wanted to protect others. Detective Hara, who was the head investigator to this case was called out to survey the crime scene yet again. Alarmingly, she said that these murder's are happening with increased frequency. Stating that 'there is a clear pattern to these murders. The murdurerd women as well as the woman who lived do have a small connection to each other. The delicate nature of the investigation demand's I withhold information for now, but I will reveal more eventually when we have a clear motive for the murderer. However, we have determined who the next murder victim will be and we are moving to secure and protect her. Rest assured, we will have the criminal soon.' Concerned citizens have petitioned official law enforcement groups, the Brass Blades and the Sultansworn, to issue a state of alert with the amount of dead piling up. However, there has been no official comment regarding the matter save that they are considering increasing the frequency of shift changes and how many guard's patrol the city.
  11. "And is this judgment a sanction passed to you? I think not. Otherwise, we would be talking business rather than the political landscape. Now if you have nothing better to do then act all high and mighty, you can bugger off." She says, taking a sip out of her sup of coffee. Inessa was naturally an extremely defiant person. Not one who works well with others nor does she get along with others. She always likes to set her own rules. Follow her own path. No judge was about to walk over her. She would drop dead before that.
  12. Inessa tears off the yellow piece of paper from he forehead and tosses it to the side and barked at the tin man "Bite me you asshat. You do not make the rules." "Don't judge others ways of interpretation or way's of thinking. Now then, if you want a solution, why don't you find it yourself and stop being so judgmental. After all, there is a solution in front of you, your just too blind to see it." She said, attempting to take a sip out of her cup but realized there was none left. She places the cup on the counter and says "Momodi, another cup please."
  13. It's only illegal if you gamble with real money, real life things in the game I think. If it's just gil, I dont think they will get upset over that. Considering a GM stated that gambling with gil is okay as long as all party's agree.
  14. "There does not need to be a solution." Inessa sniped back. "I will not help people who will not help themselves first. Otherwise, what is the point of helping them at all? just because im opinionated doesn't mean I care. I do not care but it is also my job to pay attention to these things. Watch what happens and whatnot. I cannot willingly interfere unless there is something in it for me." She says passively, paying no mind to the glass that the Tin Man broke in his hand while taking a sip from her cup of coffee. Inessa was always one to be passive about a lot of things. In the end, she only cared for two things, making sure nobody was gutted by the end of the day and money. She needed money. A lot of it.
  15. Come on verad bro, there is like four other events with plenty of open spots. Doesn't matter anyways. Just put me down for number three.
  16. Put me down into event 1. I have business with Barb anyways so it works out in the end if im with her.
  17. My availability Weekdays: 3:00pm-12:00am CMT. Weekends and holidays: All day, every day. Im on right now if you want to drop me a friend request.
  18. Someone be cupid and shoot someone in the heart on accident.
  19. "Right then. I guess I will be off then. A name and a place was all I needed. Good day Neji." She says exiting the small Dungeon and eventually the Mansion to head off to the Weavers guild. However, as she walked towards the guild which took several hours, which it would be late afternoon by then, she contemplated about that prisoner. 'That sod of a noble is gonna kill the poor kid if he is allowed to beat him up. Not to mention he is a valuable piece to help the investigation. I will need to get him out of there.' She thought to herself. She was clearly planning to sneak into the mansion and free the man later that night. HOURS LATER. . . Inessa arrives at the Weavers guild. She talks to one of the people at the front desk, personally asking for Redolent Rose for his help regarding a recent theft.
  20. "I would not do anything. The Ala Mhigan refugee's once had a great empire of their own, ruled by someone who took fate into his hands and did something with it. To help them would not teach them the lesson that is to be learned and that is they must pave their own way in life. So if you want a solution, there is none save that they can only deliver themselves from their situation." She said, taking another long sip of coffee then after said long sip, she sets her cup back on the counter. "Either way, I could not give two shit's about them. That does not mean I will ignore what goes on around me."
  21. "On the contrary, I did not disagree with my own statement. There is work out there. An abundance of it for people who want work. It's just that most of the Refugee's are either unskilled, lazy or coward's. If you want me to feel sorry for them then stop wanting because I don't feel sorry for them. If they want to expect a handout all day then that is their choice and I will respect it. However, they are no better than zombies in doing so. The only way you get anywhere in life is if you have the ball's to take your fate into your own hand's." Inessa says, taking another sip from her cup of Coffee.
  22. "Well then I disagree with your statement." She says to the Tin Man. "Are there still people unemployed? Yes, but most of them do not have an applicable skill that is needed. There are no easy or generic jobs in the time we live in. The only way you get work is if you can swing a weapon or swing a tool and know what you are doing." She reaches for her cup of coffee and take a sip from it.
