WAT. I camped the thing for an entire hour but it never opened for me. Oh well, time to wake up at two in the morning.

Some of the worlds on the Aether center are starting to open up for character creation. Hope Balmung opens up in the next 30 minutes. I hate to wake up at 2 in the morning just to make a character.

Rip snow coat, Cloud Strife outfit is 720 day vet reward

While I do not think Cross-Dressing is wrong (and I respect the people who disagree or agree with me) I do find it 'slightly' creepy, though that's because I was raised like a normal kid in a normal house (and I am a Heterosexual male). With that said, I think this whole Cross-dressing/transvestite thing has been blown out of proportion here. This is a discussion about special outfits, remember? (Just thought the topic should be put back on track.) -
Driving: One of the best and worst things humanity ever came up with.

I think this is a cool idea, but I still think there should be a roll system involved to account for the shooters score. That or have judges who give 1-10 scores based on their overall opinion of the shot.
-
I think it will be both. There was alot of talk about this a while back that Cid may be engineer job teacher, considering he is an engineer and all that and since he is Garlean, he might know how to use guns. The result would be that he teaches us about engineer things while we self-develop our own gun skills.

Maelstrom and Admiral Merylwb use gun's. Not gunblades mind you but they do use guns.

I think having a separate event where people who want to test out firearms or just their general skill would be a great idea. Have like a targeting range and you would roll to attempt to strike the practice target in the center, then whoever rolls the highest wins. ((or roll multiple times and the person who strikes closest to the center the most wins)) TBH, I am rather opposed to firearms at the grindstone, mostly cause I dont want to get shot.

How would your character React In Real-Life.
LiveVoltage replied to Duskwright's topic in RP Discussion
Inessa in real life: Police Officer since its basically her thing except with more authority and power to help her out. That or an explorer of sorts that just kinda would do sporty things, such as snow boarding, mountian climbing and so on. Me in Eorzea. . . shit, knowing me I would probably be dead if I ended up anywhere except Gridania. I would stand a moderately slim chance of survival, provided I learned how to fight or something. Otherwise, RIP me. -
Im interested in joining but im going down for tonight. If I see you on tomorrow, ill give whoever is a leader in this LS a nice little PM.

After watching the woman storm out, Inessa returned to what she was doing. Proping her legs back on the desk, both of them crossing each other, while grabbing the folded newspaper and unfolding it back out, continuing to read it.
-
Inessa nods. "Yeah, sure. If you have nothing else to say then you can go." Inessa said, waving her hand with a dismissive gesture.
-
The mentioning of the prisoner peaks Inessa's interest slightly, her ear's slightly tingling and rising to the mention of him. "If it's about the prisoner then fine. Where is this manor?" She also slightly motions with her hand to set the note on her desk.

Inessa rolls her eyes under her mask, having a hard time understanding the woman's bad speaking skills. Something she was not good with. "What does she want? Ive other pressing matter's at hand, such as tracking down the assassin that is on the run and handling of an important prisoner."

The Second Annual Royal Ball of Ul'dah - Update (Time Set)

ill be going definitely. (If only to prevent the assassin from striking! jk, jk lol.) -
Inessa rubs the back of her head before grabbing a small folder off of her desk from right next to her and began combing through the files of various suitors that were allegedly close to Emily. There could have been a possibility that the murderer was an unrequited, angry man or a man who was refused by her. If that were the case, the murderer could have taken Emily's life out of desire but Inessa had the biting feeling that two theories of an Assassin and an angry suitor did not add up. The reason it did not add up is because that none of the suitors had any of the skills that were exhibited by the assassin written down in their files. This was the work of a professional, not some common street thug with gut's. Of course there was the possibility that the records could have been altered, but then again, that would take more work than needed. Not to mention there would have been noticeable signs of document alteration if that were the case. Still, Inessa thought that these men would need to be interrogated and examined. Just as a precaution so Inessa could safely rule them out as the assassins. Inessa would then finish flipping through the files before closing the folder than setting it back on the desk. Grabbing a spare piece of paper and a feathered pen that were laying on the desk, she begins to write a letter to the Brass Blades captain in charge of the investigation, saying that she would require a list of men who were allowed near her while Emily was still living. David Epi - A merchant of some renown. Not old enough to hold a grudge against Emily's father. The fact that he could be a rival against her father is ruled out by the fact that David got his start as a merchant by the good graces of Emily's father. Takeshi Yori - A doman wanderer. Something akin to an adventurer, though he took a particular interest in the lady and as a result, has confined himself mostly to the Thanalan as of late. He might be departing soon with the lady's untimely demise so he will be first on the list. Marx Col - A strange named Elezen. Quite young and fair, though much of him remains in mystery. Most likely suspect to be the murderer if he is the one due to his unknown nature. At least this will not be a wild Goose Chase. Not without considering the fact that the woman just died about a night ago. Inessa would then begin writing her message to the captain on the paper. "Brass Blade Captain Curt, I require three individuals below for an interrogation:" Takeshi Yori Marx Col David Epi "They are suspects to the case and cannot allowed to leave the city without a proper interrogation first. Bring them to my office across the Quicksand." With that, Inessa signs the letter, seals it into an envelope and walks up and out of her office to hand off the letter to a courier for delivery. ((Still more to come. Just going to fast forward time a little))

((Is assuming that this next series of posts take place at a later date since its been a while)) Inessa sits there, reading the daily tonberry as usual, drinking her black coffee at regular intervals while being leaned back into her chair, with her feet propped up on the desk. At the sound of hearing someone at the door however, she drops her feet down back to the ground and sits back up into the chair. "Come in." Inessa says, putting her cup of coffee back on the desk and folding up her newspaper and placing it right next to the Coffee.

Inessa sat in her office, wracking her mind over how to locate and find the murderer before he could strike again. She paced around back and fourth next to the chalkboard, with a series of lines and names drawn to and from each other on one end and important evidence on the other. There was little evidence. Nothing that could help her find the murderer. What she knew was that he coated his arrow with a special Nero-toxin from a plant called Nightbell, found deep in the lost city of Amdapor of the south shroud. Extracted from a plant that was remarkable for it's beauty and extreme rarity. Once plucked from the root of the plant, the root's wither and die within moments and it could only self-replenish by being left alone to grow. That and the subject was most likely a Hyur from the descriptions that she was getting. The eye witnesses said that he was a man, or didn't have any feminine features, or noticeable ones anyways, and that he was moderately tall but about the average height of a youth at any rate. They also said he outran the guard's and fled via the city rooftop's so he is young, skilled at acrobatics and resourceful enough to evade the Brass Blades and sink away without being noticed or caught. So the evidence only boiled down to what he was. Possibly young, average height, skilled and very resourceful. On the other hand, there was the murdered woman. Emily Claffey, daughter to a moderately rich merchant of Antony Claffey. There was nothing that sugests she was murdered for a legitimate reason, such as knowing the wrong things or crossing the wrong people, and nobody hated her either. Many a young man admired her for her beauty and wanted her for their own. However, the father was overbearing and overprotective and only let her out and around the town when he was there to accompany her, along with a few bodyguards so she was obviously well protected, despite being killed in the presence of her father. Word has it that Antony has not left the temple and continues to morn his daughter. It would make sense that her father would have enemy's, but after a little digging, I have found they did not hold such a huge grudge as to kill his daughter so that possibility is out the window. Inessa eventually stops pacing and leans backwards on the edge of her desk. She bites the bottom of her lip, trying to decide what to do next.

Question: I know the leader is on a Hiatus, but when there is an event about to happen, how will we be told? Mass PM over the RPC or something? -
While Inessa is not rich IC, she often caters to the wealthy and earns a 'ton' of money as a result due to her skill set. For some reason though, it all get's spent as soon as she get's it but nobody besides her knows why. So Inessa is payed alot IC but never holds onto it for too long.
