Actually, now I think my argument and point is really stupid the way you point out that there will be a new 'relic' item.

Arcadeus is a group that can take you since we do both. We have two static groups. A learning and a progression group. Both are in house and I lead the progression group. Our RP levels tend to be generally heavy, especially after events that happened last night, no spoilers though. ((Ill be online around 4pm est. 3pm where I am at though so give me a PM if you want to talk.)) EDIT: Our Learning group is taking people through the farm and grind for T5 and teaching them so we can mercenary out services for gil. The progression group is in second coil, though our group has not attempted T6 because we have not gotten enough body's to try it yet.

I thought Yoshida wanted relics to be exceptionally difficult to obtain and very powerful? I mean, there is a reason we go through grind hell just to get an upgraded relic and that is because out of all the current endgame gear, Relic weapons are the most powerful. I feel like it would be a slap to the face of the players if they outdate relic weapons come 3.0 because of all the hard work we put into them. Better if they just rebalanced the relic's systems level cap requirements and power levels and keep it up there as the strongest weapon... or just add more relic levels. That always works. If relics become outdated however, I think it would be a good re-balance if they made powerful weapons more available to obtain, because aside from trying to grind for a COIL or primal weapon, Relic's are the most stable (exempting being the hardest) way to get a good low level endgame weapon and upgrade it to help with endgame progression.

I heard from general FC chatter and LS chatter that Yoshi-P doesn't like how easy it has become to get ATMA's and he may take Relic Weapons out for 3.0 build and forward. ): I dont see the issue with how easy it is to get ATMA's now though. It still requires a fair bit of time and luck with the RNG and every other relic level past it gets even more tedious, hard and time consuming. I swear I had to camp for three hours in Coerthas just to wait for a fate to spawn for my book, and the time consumption for the higher relics gets much much longer. In the end, he is the developer so if he did not like it, he could just nerf the drop rate back to it's original value if he doesnt like it. Sorry this seems like I am venting, but it is actually relevant to an extent regarding the future of gearing in general, mainly because aside from doing HM primals, Moogle HM or nabbing high level craft weapons or tome weapons, there is virtually no solid easy way to get a good endgame weapon. Then there comes the fact that if they take relics, Tome weapons, COIL weapons and Shiva EX weapons ((Possibly odin weapons if he drops any.)) will be the only solid way to have good weapons gear for anyways. Taking away the relics would just take away our options we have to gear up. With that said though, I wonder what the Dirk Knight Relic would look like and be called if Yoshida does not remove relics.

*shoots guy in the face with bullet. They gain +800 hp* Me: WAT. ._. I don't think it makes sense for a gunner to heal. On the other hand, if they were like a field medic that used high potency potions to cure players while sending out strong DPS with the gun then I can see that happening. They would not be a healer though. More like support DPS with an emphasis on party wide support to help out healers with things such as debuffs and whatnot. I could not see it as a healer type class.

Well, Doma isnt the only asian themed land on Hydaelyn. You have the far west, were if you read the lore tidbit's doing the moon faire event that happened during the FFXIV anniversary, the one Roe that teaches you the bomb dance and makes you dress up in the Kimonos and run around La Noscea says he went to the far west which was a land larger then he had ever seen. Point being though that if we take objects from the event as reference, it becomes obvious that we have more than one asian themed land out there. EDIT: Would also be a great thing to introduce and build into the game should they ever want to implement Samurai from there. With that said though, lets move on to the new class someone said in a earlier post aside from DRK. I think it will be gunner. I was pining my hopes on an Ishgard themed healer class but yoshi says "lolno." to that. Anyways, more DPS please. More DPS means killing stuff faster, lol.

Ishgardians are usually between Lawful Good or Zealot Good. So if we are following what you're post said actually, the Dark Knights would be Neutral Good because of their desire to help both sides of the conflict and find a peaceful resolution. Anyways, this is mainly head cannon for me but it would actually make sense for DRK's to be lone, wandering knights out in the Highlands, staying away from both Heretic and Ishgardian towns or strongholds because they believe that they do not have a desire or a place to fight in the Dravanian vs Ishgard wars but do wish to prevent fighting between both sides, serving as a Paladin-ish fighter to protect and serve those who do not wish for violence. In other words, they would not assist the Ishgardians if they went out to attack the Dravanian and aid them when they are being attacked by one with evil intent. For them, their choices to aid others are subjective, but they will more often than not attempt to solve conflicts through peacful resolution rather than violence. Most of that fanon head cannon is based on you're post though and I did not mean to interpret as or imply it to being cannon lore. Sorry.

Hrm... I read somewhere that DRK ICly would be Ishgard Knights who did not believe all the Dravanian were evil, but they are also realistic and will fight the Dravanian if they are acting evil and fulfill their duty as knights. I am already completely smitten by Dirk Knight. Now comes the hard part, I love Dragoon's as well so I cant decide. Actually though, that does bring up an interesting note though. Aside from the MPC (war of light) and the other Azure Dragoon, there are other Temple Knight with Dragoon soul stones that while they are not as powerful as the Azure Dragoon's, they can still utilize the power of the stones and have the ability to 'jump'. It would be a very interesting storyline for DRK if they were competing or had a rivalry with the Dragoons as since the Dragoons are said to lead the holy war against the Dragons, the DRK's would attempt to solve any conflicts against the Dravanians and attempt to be the voice of peace and reason when a Dravanian or a group of Dravanian do not wish to fight.

DIRK KNIGHT! YAY!!! On another note, I wonder what play style Dark Knight will have. They said they were debating on making it a DPS instead of tank, so in my speculation, they will probably have an enmity generating rotation but will probably also have a DoT's and damage rotation to go with that maybe? I hope DRK becomes a damager tank that can deal solid DPS.

Arcadeus currently has operations going on in the Thanalan. If this thing starts up during the time we remain out there, or at least our field agents do, then you can be certain they will throw our hat into the idea.

Rouge's follow the old Limsan code of thievery and piracy and they uphold these rules. When they are violated, the Rouge guild pays the pirates or violators a visit, which often ends violently. They are kind of like a general urban myth and legend to small time pirate crews and the masses, but large groups and the admiral/Maelstrom/Yellow Jackets know of them. The piracy code though generally follows three basic principles: Thou shall not steal from thy neighbor. (meaning they cannot steal from fellow limsans) Thou shall only steal from ships and people who are not from Limsa. (Meaning only non-Limsa ship's are up for grab's. Piracy has largely gone away since the Admiral outlawed it since her ascension to admiralty, but she has allowed three of the biggest pirate group to continue piracy against Garlean ships exclusively. Piracy still occurs however but much of it is considered illegal so if the Yellow Jackets dont get the pirates, the rouges will.) Thou shall not steal loot claimed by another fellow pirate. (meaning that fellow pirates cannot steal from fellow pirates. Violating this rules also incurs the ire of the rouges guild.) So generally, yes, most would view the rouges guild, especially since its based in a city of pirates, as nothing more than cutthroats with a specialization in thievery.

It could work! She's not very aggressive though She doesn't need to be. To be honest, we run our group with different division branches. Generally, we are anti-voidsent/dark forces and protector oriented and since you're alt is a Thamaturge, it would make sense for her to join us since we fight Voidsent and bad people. This was months ago before I did a server transfer to balmung, but there was an RP-FC on Mateus that I learned of a few days before I transfered. I dont know if it's still around or not but if you want to RP on a low pop server, you could always go hunting for it. My personal, and best recommendation is to buy a transfer over to Balmung or Gilgamesh as RP seems to be nonexistent almost everywhere else.

Cant remember if this was said before or not but the best bet is to just create the character on a different server then pay for a transfer over. Alot of people right now are coming back to the game most likely because of the rouge and Ninja class and all the new content. I would not be surprised if the server was closed around the clock because i have been seeing alot more activity in area's that used to be vacant as heck, which are now occupied by the rouge and Ninja horde. Best bet if you don't want to pay for a transfer is to wait for 2.4.5 to come out or is about too. By then, the Ninja horde will have diminished by a noticeable margin and the chances of getting into the server will look high. TBH, I plan on creating an ALT for the new race during 3.0. I'm not looking forward to staying up late for that.

I wish the developer's added a dungeon creator program/plugin for the game so we could build our own dungeons in our downtime and play them just for fun. Would also be really useful for the RP community if they ever want to run a unique dungeon. Plenty of people run IC dungeons. I personally have never been part of a IC group that has done one though.

Hey Anelia, you should edit the thing and add listing's with an available list of officer's in the FC that people can contact so that way, if you are not on, one of the officers will be able to receive potential applicant's.

As a representative of the RP-FC Arcadeus, Liandri would make an excellent villain that we could RP against (or a good ally if she wants to help make the world a better place, lol.) While I am not one for advertisements, I will say this. Arcadeus is a fledgling group of comrade's (soon to eventually be an organization) that have decided to work in the shadows as Voidsent hunter's and Huntresses and protector's of the realm, fighting against the dark forces of the void, anyone who would cohort with Voidsent or their dark magic and defending the realm when we are not. (we also run an inn/tavern/clinic as a front for the group at their headquarters.) So generally, if you want to RP as an atagonist of some sort or be an ally, we would be more than happy to RP with you. Give me a PM when you are online and im online.
