The conversation was about to end and Inessa was running out of time. She needed to discover if this was her mark or not and she had little to go on but for now, she decided to go aggressive and bluff for her answer. Inessa pretends to trip, knocking a drunk sailor out of his chair from one of the nearby tables then snatched the seat as she recovered from the fall, then taking the small stool, carried it over to the table to where she thought her mark was and sat down. "Good evening to you m'lord and lady. I am going to tell you a story." Inessa said as she uncorked the bottle of wine in her hand's. "As I wandered La Noscea, I came upon a rat at the inn, who told me where I could find a certain cat, and this said cat was supposed to be here today and the cat could tell me where the big criminal bosses of La Noscea were. After he told me though, I cut him down lest the information about a cat like me asking around got out. So... are you the cat talked about?" Inessa said, lifting her mask barely enough for her to take a swig from the bottle of wine, barely even drinking a bit of it, then putting her mask back on completely. "Make no mistake, I am no enemy to you. Consider me a friend with my own proposal if you're willing to listen."

So does that mean you're accepting Miqo'te characters? It does indeed! In that case, I went ahead and submitted a thing. @_@

"Ignore them. The guards can take care of them, considering they are already incapacitated." Inessa said, pulling up the woman who could barely even stand and putting her arm on Inessa's back, helping to support her. Four guards come rushing up, three armed with battle axe's and one with a tome. Most likely the commanding officer of the lot. They stop just outside of the establishment to survey the dead Roe. Inessa emerges from the establishment supporting the injured woman but the guards had already drawn their weapon's. The one with the tome came forward, A Hyur male, with short black hair. "Halt felon, unhand the maiden and surrender yourself!" The young arcanist proclaimed. "Gladly, but I am no felon good sir. Just a passing wanderer." Inessa retorted back to the young male. "Then surrender yourself for we know who you are, Inessa the impaler." The young male demanded.

Inessa's ear's twitched, picking up the noise from a specific nearby conversation. "Connections, traders, agents?" She thought to herself. She must have found her mark. Sitting at a table not far from her location were a Hyur male with black hair and a Miqo'te. Inessa couldn't tell what gender the Miqo'te was. Inessa decided to gamble time on this conversation, and with that positioned herself rather close to not garner attention, but that was hardly possible considering Inessa couldn't help but eye down the Miqo'te before her. As for the man next to her, Inessa's blood began to boil over at him. Nero Lasarov, a crime syndicate leader from Ul'dalh. Inessa had tangled with more than one member of his organization before, all butchered and their heads carved with the word scum and sent back to him though. A confrontation now would be deadly to say the least, but it appears if he is on buisness with the Miqo'te next to him. "An complace of his? No, he shouldnt have contacts in Limsa... " Inessa thought to herself. She had half a mind to confront him and his accomplice, of course she would fake not knowing him, lest his and her cover was both blown. They were both wanted people who wouldn't risk exposing the other. Nevertheless, she positioned herself several feet away, closely listening in to the conversation, ready to jump in the moment she could gamble on the Miqo'te before her was her mark.

YOU BROUGHT COOKIES YOU SAY?!?!?!?!?!?!? @_@ And welcome to the RPC. Please enjoy you're stay. -
The Drowning Wench, tonight filled to the brim with pirate's, brigand's and criminals alike. It made Inessa sick to her stomach just thinking of having to wade throw the crowd as soon as she entered the tavern. Ultimately, she was here for one person who went by the codename of kink. Whoever this person was, Inessa knew that this 'kink', would lead her straight to the people she needed to kill, that she had to kill. That she was sworn by an oath to kill. Inessa entered into the crowd. She forced her way through, making it clear to people that met her gaze behind the mask that she wore that she had no time nor the patience to indulge them. This along with her emitting a clear killing aura for those who turned to her, made it clear that she was a foe who would be a reckoning to deal with. Thus most who turned to her decided that she wasnt worth the hassle and let her be. Inessa made her way to the bar counter of the Tavern and motioned to one of the bartender's. "A bottle of wine please." Inessa said as she put a bag of gil into the hands of the waitress that stood before her. The waitress took the bag and after a few moments, retrieved a large bottle of wine from the shelves behind the bar and gave it to Inessa, who took the bottle away with her as she wandered away from the counter. Inessa's source confirmed that kink would be here tonight and this may be her only chance to find this person and learn where these crime lords are. Inessa began to wade through the crowd of people, slowly though. Listening in on the conversation's of the people she passed by. If she was going to find the person, she would need to be able to single him or her out from the general conversation's that were taking place.

You... just did though? Think of it like this: Where does Kage stand on a scale of one to twenty in strength (STR), endurance (END), mobility (Dex), how smart he is (Int), how street smart he is (Wis) and can he rally others to fight to the death if need be. (Cha) Also, I did but I digressed because I didn't want to start a flame war or anything. With that, lets bury the notion of my perception of her character and move on.

Yeah, these stat number are a little broken. ._. I would dare to say a mary sue is present BUUUUUUT... I'm not that much of a jerk and don't very much care either way. Not that I think people who pull mary sue cards for little reason are jerks but if you're character is nearly perfect in all stat values then thats typically a sign of a mary sue. I may be wrong thugh as I have never RPed with Coat ICly.

Inessa Hara Strength: 18 (Year's of fighting against odd's that are against her as well as surviving in the wildlife have left her very strong physically. Tends to move around in armor as if she wasn't wearing any and move's even faster without it.) Con: 18 (Inessa wears alot of armor and is know for not being downed after receiving severe wounds.) Dex: 20 (Inessa knows how to use Dragoon jump techniques, so that technically would need alot of dexterity in order for her to not snap her spine on a bad landing.) Int: 4 (Inessa isn't exactly too bright... >_>') Wis: 8 (This is subjectable but her natural smarts are more survival, tactical and battle oriented. She is dense otherwise.) Cha: 1 (She is very non-inspiring, or sociable, but she can be known as terrifying so there is that.)

"Ah, then excuse me m'lady. I had to be cautious lest I end up as the poor fellow behind me." I digress to a non-combative stance and extend my right hand in a helping manner with the other still holding on to the weapon. "Need assistance?" I kept my Halberd close as a precaution for if it came to a violent conflict with the approaching guard's, I would need to cut another bloody path out of here, like what happened in Limsa Lominsa, though I pushed that thought back as I had no intention of starting the fight like back then.

As I rushed towards the sound of fighting, I saw a Roe fly outside the doorway of a shop, Injuring himself in the process. I drew my weapon and gave him little time to recover because as soon as he managed to regain his sense of surroundings, I was already upon him and with a swing of my halberd, I nearly cleaved the giant opponent in half, with blood flying everywhere and his organs strewn out before him. He flew backwards, and did not proceed to get up after he fell to the ground. I dismounted, slowly creeping into the shop to see if any enemy's remaining, with my weapon in both hands. cautious I was in my approach, as I checked the corners during the approach. I then noticed a Miqo'te woman wounded in the corner of the shop, with my spear at her, I yell "Friend or Foe?". I could hear the sound of guards coming. Clearly they were alerted to the fighting, and a misunderstanding could easily provoke more bloodshed, not that I cared but it would have been troublesome to have a higher bounty on my head.

Well Inessa is pretty Manly, for a Woman. I think her mind might change about that, when her mind is blown at how Inessa can look like a guy physically (baring the face.) but be a woman. There is an interactive forum RP between me and Chika going on in the IC town forum. If you want, you can join us. ._. -
My ear's twitch, picking up the sound of distant battle emerging over the noise from blowing wind. It was coming from Red Rooster farm. I pull up on Garrus reigns, directing him to turn around and charge back as I snapped the reign's forward. "EYAAAAA!!!" I shouted as if to encourage Garrus to move quickly. It would only be under a minute before I arrive and make it to the scene of battle. "Was it brigand's?" I thought to myself, wondering how they sneaked past me and into the village, but it most likely just petty thieves since I would have noticed a large group coming into or near the town. Part of me wanted to think this was Yet again, another boring battle, but the other was shouting that this may have been a trap, a way to lure me in so a larger group could sneak up and ambush me. I pushed my thought aside though and focused on the fight at hand, as I was about to arrive at the place where the sound's of battle could be heard.

I really love this art style though. Its kind of old school anime, which is something I really like. I would definitely pay money out of my butt for a omission but I digress. -
((Note that this is an RP session that is going to be used to test the interactions between two characters, Chika Ito and Inessa Hara. Other characters are allowed to join.)) Location: Red Rooster Farm, Lower La Noscea. Weather: Overcast (cloudy) Time of the Day: Early evening. The wind was blowing hard today and not far off in the distance were storm clouds. I was making my way through La Noscea yet again, as per request of the Maelstrom, who were keeping the guards off my back so long as I took care of unwanted groups and individuals. These people though were cutthroats and brigands. It didn't matter if they did or did not want to help me, all I wanted to do was cut down every pirate I saw, everyone in the Maelstrom and Limsa Lominsa being no exception. I was riding pass Red Rooster Farm on my Chocobo, Garrus, at a slow steady pace. I was in no hurry to get to my destination, considering that the guards didn't pay much attention to me. I was a wanted woman after all. The murder/violent maiming of thirty criminals, five merchants from Ul'dalh and three yellow jacket guards left my bounty at about thirty thousand gil total if brought in dead or alive. I had to keep my face hidden with a mask lest people noticed me. I looked up into the sky. "The rain is coming..." I muttered to myself as I just sat there, gazing up into the sky. I felt that today was going to be another of Intense bloodshed as always whenever I ventured out of the Shroud. Assassins and brigands mostly assaulted me away from the protection of the Twin Adder and my men who I led, but none were remotely successful. They were all weak, too easy to kill and were simply cannon fooder. At times, I craved the challenge of a strong opponent, when which I could feel the rush of death as it brushed against me. The possibility and chance of my mortality being extinguished was the thing that made me feel the most alive above all other things. Some would call me a war monger for this ideal, and that is partially true, but I did not seek battle out. That would make me no better than the foe's that came to kill me for helping others.

I say the situation varies. A sniper/archer is going to kill a mage before he can get a spell off, while mages can (most of the time) overpower melee fighters unless they are really good at dodging or they have sufficient environmental coverage to duck and cover from the incoming spells and warriors and melee types tend to fight well against each other and non-magic ranged combatants. Just my two sense.

Lets talk about that in PM. -
Yes but most methods fall under pre-determined or RNG. I digress but I never meant it as an absolute fact, just a generality and that I phrased it wrong so it look's as if what im saying is absolute, but it isn't, because there are different methods out there that I probably have overlooked or haven't noticed. Free form being a good one when done well, or hideous when not. True but Free Form largely rely on communication. If you don't communicate then free form can turn ugly fast. Why am I still on this thread? I need to stop encouraging the continuation of dead threads. Its not really dead though, but I just played a role in its revival so meh. :I

Guys, stahp necroing the thread. @_@ With that said, RNG or a pre-determined conclusion to the fight are the two best methods. RNG because RPers then dont have to take responsibility or trample on each others characters to win. (And lets be honest, more goes into combat than skill. For example, weather, environmental structure, terrain and so on. All are just pieces of the big old combat scenario.) Pre-written is good as well because it allows players to talk things out without hurt feelings of who gets to win and who gets stabbed. :I

I keep getting mixed vibe's from this character for some reason. On one hand, they would get along just fine but that neutral relationship would be strained by Inessa's more questionable practice's when it come's to violence, as she goes beyond brutal to mark fear in her enemy's hearts, or the enemy's who threaten innocent townsfolk. -
Since im bored and have nothing better to do, I guess ill join in too when I can get the time to sit down for an hour or two and type something. In all the alternate timeline's though, Inessa die's horribly violent death's so I guess it will be me writing about how I can kill my character in the most gruesome way possible.
