I believe this is the equation needed to make a atomic bomb, but for flame wars. Dont drop the bomb bro. :cactuar:

At around mid-afternoon of this sun, a young woman was slain today in the Gold Court by an individual robed from head to toe in black. The young woman was shot down with an arrow from afar in full view of a public audience of twenty or so people and died almost moments after being shot down. The assassin then fled from the scene of the crime. He escaped the Brass Blades pursuit though and is wanted for murder. If you have any information about any shady or black robed individuals wandering around the back alleyways or in public area's, please contact the Brass Blades or the Immortal Flames. Investigator Inessa Hara was called to the scene not long after the murder, where she began to work and shared her report with this reporter after she gave her initial report to the Brass Blades and they carried off the body to the temple. "The woman should not have died in moment's after being struck with the arrow as it did not hit a vital place. However, after careful observation, I discovered that the arrow was tipped with a very rare Neuro-toxin found only in the very deep woodland's of the Shroud. The attacker in question I believe is a very skilled and professional assassin to use such an effective killing tool." "The murdered woman in question was also a midlander Hyur. Red Haired. Middle aged, between the ages of twenty to thirty in my professional opinion, though official records might say otherwise from my analysis. I will not reveal the name of the murdered woman, but there is no evidence that would link her to being wanted dead. We can also assume that the attacker was not after her money or otherwise he would have isolated her in a alleyway somewhere and pulled a blade on her, not shoot her in public. My advice would be to not wander around alone or in dangerous or solitary area's during the day or night, unless you are armed to fight back. Stay safe people. I would rather not see anyone else dead."

Inessa sits at the bar counter of the quicksand, reading over Flynt's classified with a mug of Black Coffee in hand. "Dumbass. Does he want to attract every thief and every interest of the Grand Company's?" She mutters to herself. On the one hand, it would not be good to heavily associate with this person who holds close such valuable technologies, even despite agreeing to go on a dinner date, be it a reluctant agreement in the first place. Regardless, this was a good opportunity to make some quick cash. Apprehending small time thieves and stalkers attempting to get to Flynt's treasure would fetch her a good amount of coin. It was the bigger criminal organizations she was worried about. She would not be able to do much on her own if they take an interest in his treasures.

As an IC detective, I get alot of joy out of doing detective related stuff and seeing it to completion. Like, when you get a quest from an NPC in say a game like Skyrim. So you're playing through it because you were the third party that was asked to help resolve the Quest. And when you finish the quest and get the reward from doing so, thats what it feels like with me when I finish a detective assignment, regardless if I get payed or not, because I know I just made the IC life of that person a little easier by solving a significant problem they needed help with. ((TBH, I really would like to get payed for doing stuff to help with my crafting endeavors, but you cant put a price tag on good RP.))

Ugh, so many Etrian Odyssey feels. If you have the Japanese Otachi thing going on instead of a greatsword then potentially, you could be a Ronin. ((Otachi is a huge katana btw.)) That's an Odachi sucka, Otachi is a Japanese monster, also the best Kaiju in Pacific Rim. ^That shit's an Odachi Derp. My bad then, lol. I looked it up on Wikapedia and there was an entry for a weapon called the Otachi. The Otachi was the greatsword that came before the Odachi. Incidentally, they are used interchangeably and the word Otachi continues to hang around the Odachi, even though its the technically incorrect name of the weapon, but IDC. Its twelve at night. Pacific Rim yo, best damn movie ever. Who doesn't like Giant Alien monsters versus Giant Robots with energy cannons and swords?

In response to people taking Primal fights ICly...
LiveVoltage replied to Ghostinthecat's topic in RP Discussion
I think the lesson to take from this is that everyone RP's differently. Don't like it? Don't RP with them. Problem solved. As for the absurdity of primal summonings, I would agree with the original poster on many of her points but I would like to make a distinction here between the Warrior's of Light and the MPC. The MPC (Main Player Character) is the only one with mary sue/superultramegapower and are strong enough to go against the primals gods and survive. The other, non-MPC warriors of light are just there to help. There are a ton of warriors of light. That doesn't mean though they all have the same power level as the MPC does. MPC has an over 9000 power level. Most warrior's of light wont come near that level. So its perfectly acceptable to be a warrior of light. It doesnt mean you are a mary sue. The only time it starts becoming trouble is when the RPer begins using it as an excuse to fight primals on a regular basis (and winning alot) or fighting groups of other player characters and using it as an excuse to god mode and attempt to knock them all out. -
Thats a bit of a hard question. Something between Dark Knight and Detective for Inessa. Dark Inquisitor? IDK, lol.

Classified: The Dojo Opens
LiveVoltage replied to Nanami Sil'nami's topic in Tonberry's Lantern (IC)
((A letter written to the Dojo)) Darkwolf Clan You are not the only combat school with a combat style to emerge in Eorzea. There are others. I, a Representative of the Hara style of Martial Art's, send you news that our leader has taken interest in you're school and wishes a formal meeting with you're style's master. If you accept the proposed meeting, seek out one of our practitioner's, Inessa Hara, a private detective based out in Ul'dah. She will direct you to the Master of the Hara Style. her office is located right across the Quicksand. Good day Darkwolf Clan. Secret Representative of the Hara Style, Courier Six, Also known as John. -
I dont think that would paint Godbert in a good light though. Most of the Syndicate were of the same mind with Godbert on the fact that it would be too much pressure on Ul'dah to take in more refugees. On the other hand, if he is indeed helping fund the construction of 'More Donughts' (see what I did there?) then that would be a good redeeming fact that he had planned this all out way in advance of everyone. I dont think that is the case though because Rowena pretty much runs the Doughnut town with what resources they have. IMO, Godbert made a tough decision. Sacraficing Ul'dah for Refugees or keep the domans out. He probably chose to veto though because he planned ahead of time that the people in Mor Dhona would take them in, but he did choose a tough call in the end that was kind of uncharacteristic of him, but I think his decision was very neutral. There are too many factors that make it impossible to call it right or wrong.

Im stupid when it comes to math and do not understand common core mathematics. I need simple math. With that said, at least the media has calmed down recently about stupid internal BS. Right now they seem to be going through the terrorist phase again.

I would agree with this. Aside from being the wacky father of Hildibrand, there is virtually nothing know about his personal life save he's a monetarist. Nothing about his political or personal life awnsers the big question. (I think we can rule out that he is a racist though due to the fact Hildi is surrounded by Non-Hyur people and he hasnt made a pass to anybody from a diffrent race.) Here is to hoping that more knowledge about him aside from becoming a Casino owner for 2.55 gets revealed when 2.5 part 2 drops.

I faintly remember during. . . what was it, 2.2? 2.3? One of the patches whenever this meeting took place, not all of the members of the Syndicate were present. Cant exactly remember who, but it was 2 people who were not there. With that said, I dont think were out of the wood's regarding character death's yet. It is the finale after all so there will be major events happening.

I would like to think that the story content for this patch was short because they wanted to get Dragons and the dark wizard guys out of the way so they can finish up with a ton of content for the ending of the Ul'dah arc. It makes sense as well if they did it to finish the arc's separately. That last two major patches (2.4 and first part of 2.5) focused on Ishgard for the buildup to heavensward as well as finishing up the Ul'dah questline. It makes sense they would segment these seperately so they then only need to focus on finishing one arc at a time. With Dragons mostly out of the way and ascians out as well, its mostly just going to be about Ul'dah stuff or finishing that up at least.

2.5.1 in a nutshell: "Dragons Dragons DRAGONS!!! . . . followed by insane 1000 year old warlock wizard guys." Best thing in 2.5 was the short hair that got added. This does bring up a legitimate confusing point though. When Misgra. . . (cant spell that dead dragons name, bleh) took away the WoL's blessing, he mentioned quite a few times that a new deal was struck between him and the warrior of light. I have a theory that in the place of the Blessing of light, the WoL is now protected by the dead dragon dude. This however, doesn't have any evidence to hold ground on and is just a theory. That aside though, I really like what they did making him a minion/companion of sorts that made a reoccurring appearance. It added alot more life to the MSQ for me. Ive got a feeling in my gut the dead Dragon dude is going to hang around the WoL for much of 3.0. Would actually be really cool if you think about it.

[Balmung] Carrion Underfoot (Updated 1/22/15)
LiveVoltage replied to Melkire's topic in Chronicled Events
If you have room for me to join then im game for whatever. PS: Im an IC investigator, have an office right outside the quicksand which is general IC knowledge due to it being plastered in the Tonberry as an advertisement. Use my skill set to you're advantage. -
While most people on the site are open and welcoming, that doesn't mean we aren't weary of people we haven't RPed with before. We check for things like grammar, general lore knowledge and the chemistry of the characters that go with your own. Really, a lot of things factor into if we decide to RP with someone. While we are all open to new ideas and concepts and testing the waters with others, that's not a guarantee we can become permanent roleplay buddy's. In general, it's just a misconception of a misconception. We also have to take into consideration the amount of time we have available to RP as well as who we want to spend our time with. We all already have pre-existing relationships, plots and other such stuff that we are involved in, so its a time issue as well. Its just a lot of different factors that go into it. But that's terribly off-topic, back to the main point. I still state that there is an existing EU community here. While they are not as unified as the NA community, they do exist. Just gotta look hard and dig deep. Hey on the downside, if you don't find an EU group, you could always make you're own. Nothings stopping you. PS: Everyone has a different RP style and how they enjoy/view/want to RP. OOC chemistry is always a factor too.

I would like to watch the stream actually. Just drop a link and ill take a look at it.
