  1. Most dungeons have pretty easy mechanics. The only thing you will need to practice for is usually the Primal fights and Binding Coil of Bahamut. That and LotA/ST/WoD but those are easy in general. Raiding is easy to get into. Granted that it's not really the biggest thing right now though due to the fact everyone is on FCOB or waiting for the Alexander (whatever they are called) Raid series that will be for 3.0. 3.0 will be the most opportune time to get into raiding. Everyone will be scrambling to complete the newest content, which means plenty of opportunities for a new raider to get into raiding content. Thats also one of the things I dont really like about this game. I joined up in 2.2, but generally, if you dont catch up with the endgame crowd, you usually get left behind pretty fast. I was lucky to actually make it to SCOB. I spent a long and painful month and a half trying to learn turn 5 mechanics and dealing with PUG after PUG. It wasnt easy, but this group came and helped me out in the end for free. (they all had max level gear so I assumed they were a endgame group or something. Shout out to you guys if you see this.) But generally, endgame is going to be difficult and you will need to keep up with the difficulty curb and the rest of the community, if you dont then your likely to get left behind and having to work with PUG groups. It's not as bad as it sounds and there is plenty of time for you to get into it and learn so dont feel discouraged by what im saying! Rather, I encourage you to try an hit your head against the endgame wall because endgame is fun and enjoyable.
  2. What I noticed is that most people will usually have a main character that they will never kill off, then as they grow out from that character, they will have several alt's that they will use for the purpose of being used and disposed of for RP. A character's death obviously has a dramatic impact on the story in general. Its not generally an easy thing to do but dying or killing characters out of RP is probably one of the laziest things to do to enrich a story. A good example of this is Game of Thrones. While there was killing and stuff, most of the big characters usually fought using their head's and their fights were in politics. You dont need to kill characters to have a good story. Yes, its a convenient tool in any relevant event, but there are other alternatives. It's still the RPers decision in the end to choose if they want their character to die or not. Both party's have to consent to the killing beforehand. By the by though, I would never tell anybody to kill their main off. Just by a phantasia and name change. 20$ spent is better than spending a month or more trying to level and gear and stuff. Especially if youve leveled all the crafting and combat classes.
  3. Inessa had set him down on the street, a few blocks away from the mansion. She was checking left and right to see if they were followed. "I could not stand to see some random person getting beaten to death. Not to mention you probably knew something. You don't have to tell me, but I would be grateful if you did."
  4. ((Oh god I should not be writing this at 12:30am)) Inessa covers the mouth of the Miqo'te. Holding a finger over her lips, she tried to make the point get across that he needed to be quiet. She would then return to picking the lock on the manacles. Eventually, she would unlock them and gently put down one manacle on the floor at a time. After she completely unchained the Miqo'te, she picked him up and put him over her shoulder. Silently walking out of the room. Thankfully, the guard was still asleep. As if luck was on her side. She would then stick to the shadows, avoiding guards that passed her and made her way to the stairway. As she ascended to the main floor, it was not as tricky. The guards across the room, in what appeared to be a small kitchen of some sort, were playing card's. Maybe Triple Triad or something along that line. They were drunk too, but they seem adequately distracted. She opened one of the windows from the inside of the mansion and sneaked out that way with the Miqo'te still on her back.
  5. I have a male alt. Two actually, if that counts, though one is a super chaotic evil douche so he's not really RP able for the casuals. The other is a foreigner male who tends to get into trouble without actually knowing he does it, but in general, a good guy. Really, it all depends on the concept of the character the player wants. I tend to rationalize the excess of female players (who are often Miqo'te) as a trait of their breeding habit's. While they don't give birth in litters, they do reproduce and procreate quickly, thus an explanation on why there are so many female Miqo's. Normal females not so much but they tend to be balanced in numbers.
  6. Hey, at least you haven't had you classpect psychologically deduced by overanalyzing friends. Mine's Rogue of Hope, according to them. Prince of Rage :^) . . . Knight of Void here, lol.
  7. Green is caliope. Caliborn is red. I cant reveal due to spoilers, but you still have a ways to go before you catch up. Caliborn plays a very important role in the series, his actions lead to the event that nobody shall speak of called GAME OVER. Warning, do not watch unless you want to cry for an hour.
  8. Hello! A homestuck expert has arrived on the scene! \o/ Andrew hussie stated in his last update that the next act will be the final act of act 6, which will be the completion of caliborns master piece. After that, he said it will go into act 7 which will be the Homestuck series endgame.
  9. Tonight was fun. Verad is a great DM and I enjoy his little events. It was fun to see the crowd turn on Eva and her to try and win over the one-eyed man! Get out Ishgardians! You cause enough problems as it is! Hope to play in more of these events in the future!
  10. Im currently playing Valkyria Chronicles right now. It's a great game (the AI can be pretty difficult ((and terrible sometimes #FriendlyFireFellowNPC's))) but it's a pretty great game. Lot's of strategy involved and the game makes you think of who you want to bring into fights and how to actually play the game compared to grinding for levels then mindlessly attacking the boss mobs for progression. Not to mention it has some pretty sick graphics and really nice PC support.
  11. Back to CARS! I hate it when people ride up on others rear ends who are doing the speed limit. Sometimes even more than that. It's like your asking to get in a car wreck and have a possibility of dying. It sometimes makes me want to get a huge truck as my transportation vehicle that way when when another car hits me, Ill completely squash/crush that car and it will serve them right for being idiot's and driving recklessly. Rather be protected and alive and the other person dead rather than being the dead one.
  12. I named my Chocobo this guy. I am not sorry. Havent had the chance to give him a racing name yet. The Golden Saucer is congested so nobody can go in.
  13. My strategy was usually to hit hard, hit fast in those games and air superiority. ALOT of helicopters, bombers and fighters. Not much can stand up against you if you dominate the skys with alot of airborn firepower to back you up. Also, I forgot to mention this, but I used to play the epic battle fantasy flash games when they were still a thing. Epic Battle Fantasy 4 got released on steam and is on sale for like 4 dollars, but man, that was a very good game for its time.
  14. I dont think there is any real law enforcment in the Gold Saucer. That or its privatized. At least from what I saw, it seems that adventurers are their own best police there.
  15. Balmung is open right now. If you plan on getting any alt's in, you might want to log in and make them real quick before the server fills up and locks character creation out. EDIT: HINT!: Most people dont log in the following morning right after maintenance or patch so Balmung is wide open well through the morning. All the way till 10am-12pm.
  16. Later the next day, well after the partying in the tent had died down, the massive tent's table was swept clean of plates and food and it's fine silk table top replaced with a beautiful red cloth. Caesar sat at the end of the table, on his big throne. It was the morning, and Caesar wanted to bolster his ranks. To do so, he began drafting letters to people of interest. Anyone who wanted to hold a position and have a hand in his rise into power and helping him creating a Totalitarian, Hereditary dictatorship would be welcomed. 'To all the people who read this, be you peasant, refugee, bandit or warrior, you are welcomed to join the red legion's ranks and creating a new nation. One where there is no such thing as personal wealth or individuality save for me to have them. There will only be a higher cause you commit yourself too. To that end, all able bodied men are asked to join. Women serve no role in our glorious campaign save to be servile and breeding tool's for our use. If you want three hot meals a day and a woman to bed every night, speak to one of the Red Legion scouts. They will set you on your path. If you attack my men or betray them, I will hunt you down, find you, cut you up and feed you to the behemoth. Penned by Lord Caesar of the Red Legion.' Lord Caesar spent the next half of the day penning these letters. His cause meant much to him. He would only stop when he could no longer breath. His ambition would live to his dying breath.
  17. I assume Proletarians are basically the regular citizenry. If so then Inessa is that. Though in truth, Inessa and her mother are refugees since neither are native to Ul'dah. They are particularly successful ones though since they went into the city with marketable skills. EDIT: Though Inessa was not conceived in Ul'dah, she was born there so Inessa's mom is technically the refugee while Inessa is a citizen by a technicality.
  18. Pfft. Uncouth gentlemen. Raiders and slavers please. Lets watch da world burn, lol.
  19. Im actually more concerned about what my parent's would think. I never bring anyone home so the moment a random girl that looks pretty young with cat ears and a tail came to see me would probably make them flip the hell out. *in a good way though. Would be very embarrassing though* I would probably introduce Inessa to the great thing called Netflix, then we would probably cuddle under a cover in a living room trying to stay warm from the cold weather while watching Kung Fu flics and stuff.
  20. There are plenty of evil groups. Just gotta know where to look. A few example's off the top of my head are the Red Legion bandits out in the deep area's of the Sagolii, Nero and his pirate crew, the Garlemald FC. Etc. EDIT: Also, PM me if you are interested in having a hand in the Red Legion RP thingy I have going on right now. Ive got a few people interested but more people is always better.
  21. Inessa notices the man was shackled to the wall. The Jailer probably had them but she didnt want to go and wake up the bear of a man. Inessa then takes out a lockpick and what appears to be a small utility knife of some sort out of her satchel and begins quietly picking at the shackles around the Miqo'te's legs and arm's.
  22. Inessa Hara is Russian/Japanese blend, lol. Although Inessa is ICly conceived in the far west but born in Ul'dah, her mother abandoned their old name to adopt a new name that was more easy to pick up on in Eorzea. Also the reason why Inessa's mom doesn't have a name from where she is from is because there are no naming standards for the far west out yet.
  23. GM's watch us RP? Thats. . . kinda cool actually. Wish that the GM's could RP with us. Would be really cool. Made it to round three tonight, which was really fun. This event is always so much fun. ((BTW, in case anyone was wondering, I came to the event on my alt, 'The Courier'.))
