The lyrics don't match up, but the overall sound of the song really fits Noxaelius I think. Ek3k4fnFBoo And this song is perfect for his ongoing spiral into darkness/madness/etc. ulzwZK4fvHI

Almost killed her baby, but still coming somehow.

I'd love to be in a play if the plot interested me. But I would still come to watch otherwise!

A sad scene in the rain. However, it was thankfully somewhat resolved before we got kicked off for maintenance! Noxaelius and Caelia.

Music affects me a lot when I RP and write stories. I usually have very hip-hop/dance/etc. tastes, but I purposefully put on things such as game BGMs or thematic music to set the mood during an RP or a story. Having the right kind of BGM during an RP lets me enjoy it a lot more (and having something completely out of place like electronic dance playing while RPing a touching scene puts me off). I've been listening to a lot of this guy during RP lately because I really like the pieces he puts out. Here's one I really like to play during casual/cute/funny scenes: MzRzL68vk2o However, I don't do character songs because I don't think I can ever find one song that would really fit my character.

I'm not sure for English VAs since I haven't really heard one that sounds like my idea of Nox's voice, and I haven't been able to find a perfect JP one either, but the one that matches closest right now (although Nox's voice would be a bit more smooth and mischevious) is adult Hibari Kyouya from KHR. mCDx--PWy_g Also Lelouch's hysterical JP laugh when Nox goes a bit crazy. iiWn8ZdiBq0

balmung Morally askew merchant looking for connections!
Lillini replied to chaoticsleepy's topic in Chronicled Connections
I love shady manipulative characters and my character has mostly only been in touch with neutral or good types, so I would love to RP with you. However, I don't really think my character would be able to use any of the prompts you listed...would Xheja happen to sell any books on magic (especially rare and/or old texts)? Artifacts as well? If not, I can probably make the high-class cosmetic thing work if he buys it for a friend, but it would only be a one-time purchase. And honestly, Noxaelius pretty much hits on any female anyway, so he could just come up and start hitting on your character while she's trying to sell stuff LOL. -
balmung Looking for an IC drinking buddy!
Lillini replied to Delilah Scythewood's topic in Chronicled Connections
My character is a ridiculous alcoholic and has a very high tolerance if you want to drink with him sometime. He even brings alcohol with him everywhere he goes so... -
Hello and welcome! I've been combining the two together for only about a month now, so let's be new and RP together! I'm in the Night Owls LS too and am on for half the week when it's not late so...you won't be lonely if you're on when there's still daylight. Your name is from Ouran High School Host Club, right?
-
I actually started one for my character today! It'll be half-RP/half FFXIV stuff in general.

Hi Miss Big-Boobs.

Hahahahahahaha....impossible.

balmung Looking for people to RP with~
Lillini replied to Lady Portia Bartel's topic in Chronicled Connections
BUT...I POSTED BEFORE YOU??? Like I said..."would resort to any means necessary to get them"! Pregnant woman? He doesn't give a beep! Also, just like Caelia to waltz into the mansion of a possibly evil character to do a good deed. But who knows...if Portia can forgive him for robbing her, maybe they could have some nice conversations about magic and such. -

This would be a good prompt for our characters to meet. My character isn't exactly er, villainous (yet), but he is often out attempting to find ancient and/or powerful books of Black Magic or any magic really, and would resort to any means necessary to get them. -
Noxaelius doesn't care for pets and the only one he owns is his chocobo Rinia, who he cared for since she was a baby. He encountered her injured and abandoned out in the wilderness and initially walked past her, not caring if she lived or died, but she kept following him around despite her injuries so he took her home, thinking that it would be useful to have something to ride on anyway. Unfortunately, he's not very good at chocobo caretaking. He tends to give her too many greens and alcohol to drink because that the only type of drink he owns. Since they live in Mist, she ends up having to drink the trench water (at least it seems clean?) beside the house. He also never takes her out to exercise and just lets her run by herself around the neighborhood, which always earns him a telling-off from the officers.

My friend Elsee and I.

I view it as a fantasy, but as realistically as possible if that makes any sense at all. It's still a fantasy because there's magic, monsters, things such as primals etc., but I apply realistic concepts to more "normal" aspects such as melee fighting, for example. I would find it strange if a person roleplayed that they were able to defeat various competent opponents with a regular wooden lance or something. Magic is harder to judge because there's nothing real to base it on, but I'm pretty fine with most concepts as long as they don't seem really overpowered, like a person magically regrowing half their body with no/barely any repercussions on the healer or patient (and it also has to make sense in context with their background). I care much more about type and depth of personality in a character than whether they're powerful or weak when RPing with someone (as long as their power isn't off-putting or unrealistic, such as them being good at everything or winning over my character all the time when my character is supposed to be good at the particular field, etc.). Special snowflakes are alright as long as they aren't made up of them. Personally, however, I am more interested in playing a character that is powerful in one or two areas.

We should! Although I took a peek at your wiki and my character's a Miqo'te so...but he's not tribal at least? I would totally come visit if a villain hangout is made though. Possibly often.
-
Darn, and here I was hoping there was an actual physical hangout spot I could visit. Nox isn't a true villain but he has done some questionable things, such as blackmail, kidnapping, selling of illegal goods, bribery, stealing, pirating, a lot of violence, homewrecking, and uh...okay, I guess those things are more than questionable. At Fio: your character sounds really interesting! I've always preferred antiheroes or shady characters compared to good ones.

I'd like an invite as well! Horray for night owls.

You ever notice how absurdly tall all of the ceilings in this game are?
Lillini replied to Marisa's topic in FFXIV Discussion
I actually wish we could zoom out even more in buildings than we currently can, but I guess they would have to make skyscraper-tall ceilings for that to happen. -
Ah, I'd like this LS as well! I tend to stay up till 3 AM PST for most days and can never find anyone to do some soldiery farming with me! If there isn't one though, maybe we could make one?

I'm a little guilty of OOC affecting IC regarding my character's personality as well. Similar to crowmeleon, my character has a bit of douchebag in his personality, but I keep playing him too nice because I find it awkward OOC to be rude to a stranger (I also find IC flirting extremely embarrassing). Mostly, I think that people who have characters very similar to them in terms of personality/likes/dislikes will have issues OOC when something happens to their character since they're too much alike, so it becomes personal. Since characters are something people spend a lot of time creating, sometimes it's easy to view the characters as your own children and you get offended if someone doesn't like them or treats them badly. I think that small, OOC bits of communication (even something as mundane as a "LOL" or a small blurb) can help alleviate this. As for ERP, well, just keep it private.

balmung Always look on the Dark side of Life!
Lillini replied to Ta'kheo Nunh's topic in Chronicled Connections
I'm always more interested in characters that are closer to the evil side, although not the ridiculously crazy psychopaths that most fictional villains seem to be. My character isn't a villain, but he's not completely innocent either so I think it would be really fun to RP with you.
