balmung [P'etra Heartley] [Wanted: All kinds of Med-Heavy roleplay]
Lillini replied to nekoneku's topic in Chronicled Connections
Hello! I tried contacting you last night but I think you were afk. Anyway, your character sounds interesting and I'm not sure what kind of connections you're going for, but my character Noxaelius actually used to deal with "human" (not sure what we'd call it in Eorzea) trafficking in Limsa as a pirate before. He mainly kidnapped and sold girls to brothels along with the crew he was in. He hasn't done it for a few years now but I was thinking that they might recognize each other from that time. Depends on whether you'd like your character to have a tie from the past, so to speak! -
balmung Returning from a long absence: looking for new buddies!

L'Poppi sounds interesting! Assassinations eh? She might get along with Nox if she has reactions to being teased a lot. I'm PST and also tend to stay up super late, so we might be able to catch each other easily! -

[Host Club trading cards!] - Retired Promotion
Lillini replied to xelliexell's topic in Chronicled Connections
Sounds like a fun idea! As for the bolded part, maybe what you could do is have a specific character (or the host/hostess behind their card) craft an item nobody ever uses to act as the card's placeholder, so the item will have the crafter's name on it. It could be anything since even non-equipment has the crafter's name on it. -
Oh yes. We should definitely RP. My character loves bullying teasing naive, clueless characters the most, and yours sounds like the perfect victim type. I also dislike sit-and-talk type roleplays when RPing with people I don't regularly RP with, so going out to adventure sounds fun! Noxaelius would be a terrible influence on Null (he's also a Black Mage, but keeps this a secret from mostly everyone and just introduces himself as an experienced Thaumaturge. I get the feeling he would be the type to work with Null's Papa eventually, if he'll gain from it, haha).

I love Redwall! <3 <3 I would recommend the Dragonlance Series as well, for people who like fantasy.

A culinary-loving character! My character Nox loves to cook as well and is very good at it as well as very arrogant about it. If Chaska is unable to talk, he would bully tease her a lot! Perhaps they could meet up and talk about cooking things sometimes. Or other stuff as well.

I'd like to placed in the give away contest list please!

Noxaelius was not interested in reading the letter, nor in finding out who the dead Hyur was or why he had been killed. He had been hoping for some fun - perhaps a fight, or a verbal battle - with the women, but the newcomer lessened the chances of that. The Miqo'te raised an eyebrow at the male Elezen and his notebook. Who the hell took out a notebook at the sight of a dead body? Such a strange action. He pulled out his wineskin again and took another swig from it. "I actually came for the live bodies, not the dead one," the young man replied in the same casual tone, with it turning sarcastic in the next sentence. "I would have never thought a rotting corpse in the middle of nowhere would be a popular social congregation area. Perhaps having more of these around will encourage a sense of community?"

I would love to do this with my main, Noxaelius! (don't pair me with Armellant though. That giraffe has been bullied enough by him as it is)

The dark-skinned male glanced at the two women when they addressed him. He walked closer to them, although the smell of the corpse under the heated sun was quite distasteful. "Mmm, I wonder," he replied to the Elezen with the lighter accent. The other two had looked to be on guard, and Noxaelius guessed that they were probably wondering who had committed the murder, since the way they moved didn't seem as though they were the ones who killed the unfortunate Hyur. It wasn't him either, obviously, but he was feeling bored and if he wasn't going to invite them to the Quicksand, he might as well have some fun. A sly smile spread across the Miqo'te's face as he looked at the corpse again. "How interesting. A corpse out here in the open, with the killer nowhere in sight. I wonder who, or what it could be. It couldn't have possibly been either one of you or both, could it?" His voice was light and casual - much too casual, and he was observing the scene as though it was some strange display in a museum.

Noxaelius thinks that he's good at taking care of his chocobo...that she's living a happy life with alcohol to drink and "boundless exercise" (she can run off around the neighborhood whenever she wants). Little does he know, she always gets rid of the alcohol he gives her out of pity for him and is actually quite lonely running around by herself. Good thing she has a real caretaker now.

Noxaelius had gone to Ul'dah for some personal business - one that involved ordering many more crates of Qiqirn Firewater, to be delivered to his house. The male had decided to go for a walk after he was done in the city, although he was now greatly regretting his decision due to the sweltering sun. Just as he was about to go back to the city, he heard several female voices nearby and rounded around a large rock to see two Elezen women in the distance. The young man smirked to himself and made his way over with questionable motives - possibly with the intention of inviting them for a drink in Ul'dah. However, as he neared the females, he picked up on a vile scent. The stink of a corpse. The smell of death. He stopped several yalms away from the women, in plain view, his eyes landing on the corpse at their feet. The Miqo'te did not care for the body nor its killer at all, but it being there posed a problem, because the scene of a dead body was hardly the place to be making passes at women. Now he was faced with a dilemma. Would he approach them anyway, perhaps drawing them away from the body to continue to his goal? Or should he simply walk away? The flaming rays of the sun beat relentlessly on his dark skin, making the whole situation much more annoying than was needed. Perhaps it would just be better for him to return to the Quicksand and find a drinking partner there.

Except the dark maroon would be a rich red. Noxaelius usually prefers to wear clothes that are black/dark grey with red accents. Black: Usually associated with darkness, the night, and generally evil things. He isn't exactly an outright evil character, but he definitely veers towards the darker side of things. Red: The color of blood. He's very destructive and sadistic, as well as violent. He also associates rich red with luxury, and the man loves his luxury. Orange: The color of his beloved flames and explosions. He is extremely fond of fire as well as fire magic, and considers the element "his domain". Grey/Light Gold: His skin tone and eye color respectively.

balmung Getting back into the swing of things
Lillini replied to Chika Ito's topic in Chronicled Connections
I'd love to RP with you and make more connections as well but I think Chika would hate my character haha, unless you're fine with that. I do have an alt I made recently. Haven't really thought of much for her yet or made a wiki page, but sometimes characters build themselves with RP! -
The only two races I like for males are Miqo'te and Elezen, so Nox started off as a Miqo'te who sometimes glamours as an Elezen, but I felt like I couldn't play him properly as an Elezen because I personally always felt like he has to talk eloquently as an Elezen. There his glamour prism uh, broke, and he hasn't used that illusion ever since. Although he can still cast it, but he can't keep it up for a very long time without the prism.

Funnily enough, I had a dream about FFXIV the night before. In my dream, I had a goblet house but forgot I owned it, then was negotiating with someone to buy their lavender beds house, which was on a little island surrounded by the sea with tons of trees and beautiful foliage. It was like a three story house too (but not a mansion). Then I realized that I'd have to relinquish my goblet house to buy the lavender beds one, so I tried to get to the housing NPC to do so, but was forced to go through a maze-like map filled with high level mobs that I just couldn't sneak past and I kept dying. I finally made it after a while only to find out that I only had 3 mil and not 5 mil to purchase the lavender beds house. So I scrimped and begged all my friends to lend me money then ended up buying the lavender beds house. After this adventure-filled dream, I woke up with an intense desire to buy a lavender beds house. Lavender beds was the housing area I liked the least too LOL, because I always get lost there. (But otherwise, I've had game-related or FFXIV related dreams quite a few times)

Rating Scale: 1 - 10. 1 as complete Sin. 10 as complete Virtue. 4 near the middle, closer to the Sin. 5 near the middle closer to the Virtue. Lust vs Chasity: 1 Noxaelius has very strong desires regarding the bed as well as general concepts such as power. He constantly thinks about these things every day and would be very willing to do it with anyone (female and barring a few small conditions), probably anywhere, and at any time. Gluttony vs Temperance: 2 He is a glutton for luxury and power. There is never too much of either one, in his opinion. The more comfortable and luxurious his lifestyle, the better. It's the same with power and Aether as well. The more he has (whether it's normal Aether or dark Aether), the happier he becomes. His self-restraint is almost non existent. The only reason this isn't a 1 is because he restrains himself enough to not force himself on anyone in bed. Greed vs Charity: 1 This male is extremely greedy for power and will stop at nothing to get it. His greed for power consumes his soul. And Noxaelius doesn't do pity, so charity is out of the question. Sloth vs Diligence: 8 This Miqo'te is fairly diligent when it comes to getting things done or doing things that are a means to an end. However, he will always try to find the most efficient way to do things, because why bother with the long route when you have a shortcut? He gets things done well, though (very OCD). Wrath vs Patience: 1 Noxaelius has a very explosive temper and can easily become cranky or angered. He isn't set off by everything, but certain things may trigger his temper instantly. Once he is angry at someone, he treats them cruelly and has a difficult time forgiving them. Envy vs Kindness: 4? 3? I'm not quite sure about this one because Noxaelius doesn't really envy others or get jealous of anything because his ego is so large, but he isn't kind either. The only times he may get slightly jealous are when people do obvious flirtatious actions towards Caelia and she doesn't really ward them off (for example, attempting to fondle her). Pride vs Humility: -9001 I think one would be hard pressed to find someone with more pride than Noxaelius. His ego is so large, it probably bursts from Eorzea's borders and attacks neighboring countries. He thinks he is the most intelligent, the most handsome, the best at anything he's good at, the most powerful of anyone with a few exceptions, and is not afraid to mention how great he is. Anyone who doesn't agree with him regarding how great he is, is "obviously" deluded (according to him). He is not insecure whatsoever. He truly believes that he is the best. Does your character lean more towards the Sins or the Virtues? Leans towards the Sins with a thousand-ton weight. Which Sin does your character most emulate? Pride by far. Which Virtue does your character most emulate? Diligence, which seems to be the trait a lot of the more sinful characters here emulate. Which of these Sins or Virtues do you and/or your character believe they need to work on the most? In my opinion...probably greed, despite pride being his largest Sin. Pride doesn't really hinder him too much but his greed is very destructive towards others and especially himself, because he willingly hurts himself to gain more power. Noxaelius, however, knows exactly how he is and is fine with it. He has no desire to change himself whatsoever.

I've found that this site has been really great for getting the color I want. I've been able to get my alt's chocobo and my friend's chocobo to the desired color from default in one feeding session. Chocobo Color Calculator According to the site, going from Midnight Blue to Currant Purple would be 2x plums, 3x valfruit, and 5x pineapples. I would suggest to feed all the fruit in one session, but stagger the amounts. For example, feed 2 pineapples, then 1 plum, 1 valfruit, 1 pineapple, etc. until you use up all the required fruit. If it still doesn't work, you might want to consider feeding your chocobo a lemon to get it back to default, then using the site to go from default to currant purple all in one feeding session (but staggering the amount of fruit you feed each time, so you don't feed like 15 plums in a row or something).
