Also that blue wolf mount, whatever it's called. It's cute... For Lex: Just make him level 50 instantly. Please. OTL (I'm 90% joking... just those levels after 30 are so tough for me. -sigh-)

Oh yeah, no, I plan to use it as a supplement (and I want the pretty Bard top with the ruffled scarf). Plus I think Dark Helmet was stalking me because I saw him up and about on the regular while leveling Rogue so... payback time. But I do plan to do dungeons and such as well.

I would really like to second this! After seeing all the advice given in this thread, and the reassurances, I am feeling a lot more confident in getting started. Looks like I'll be doing hunts (that one vanity piece I wanted requires seals dropped from them, apparently) but I'll also make an effort to look up Crystal Tower fights. Yeah, that was pretty much me: 1) I'm a ranged DPS. 2) I have no idea about any dungeon mechanics at all... 3) I will probably get vote booted instantly. So, yeah, that's probably about 80% of the trauma right there. Nothing quite like being humiliated on the Internet. -steers the rudder 'cause we're headed for Lame-Ass Nub Island- Unfortunately that list is exactly what I was looking at. ;w;

So I'm sure most of you are pretty aware of this already, but having only just recently came back to an Artifact-geared iLvl 55 Bard, I was mildly interested by the prospect of progressing onto higher leveled gear... I will admit, purely for vanity reasons. I was seeing really cute gear and mounts and I wanted them, damn it! With no real clue of where to begin, I started looking at guides and... :dazed: Oh my god. There's so much. THERE'S SO MUCH. I pretty much gave a terrified squeak and closed the tab. I really have absolutely no clue what to do now... (Maybe I should just stick to RP. That's what I'm good at!) Anybody else in the same boat? Or maybe you managed to slog your way through this complex mess and have some tips/tricks?

Been doing the early three dungeons over and over to level my alt, who's a healer. Since I'd taken such a long break, I happened to forget the trials of being a healer in this game, and thus, have encountered the full spectrum of shitty tanks. Best ones: - Refused to acknowledge me and the other two DPS, who were drawing aggro more often then he was, up until we wiped on the final boss of Sastasha. At this point he demanded to know why I hadn't 'been healing more'. I replied that when I'm focusing on trying to heal the whole damn party because of patchy aggro, it's hard to keep anybody's health at full or near it. He then said that I should 'take more action to protect myself then'. So we vote kicked him from the party. Just me taking action. - Was doing hunts on a separate account and would periodically ask us to wait for minutes at a time while he did them. Also asked if I was a girl, then refused to believe my answer because I was playing a male Elezen, and apparently women only play Miqo'te. News to me? - Ran straight ahead as soon as the cut scene was over and into the 'wall', and continued to do so until we booted him. Poorly coded bot, maybe? I'd kind of hoped the dungeons had gotten better with time but, haha, apparently not?
