Hey Oli, a question based on pure speculation. "Spoilers" in the Stormblood cutscene below.

It could be argued that Doman-common, or the "common Doman tongue," is, in fact, Japanese. That the Xaelan tongue is different. We do see Japanese naming systems in both spells, items, and even their actual names. So it's less, "They can't speak this language," and more, "They're speaking Doman, not Raen." The actual lore quote is:

It's all in character. There's 0 real gil being traded. We're also using a simple 1:100 ratio. That means 1$:100g. So it's $20 per. person (which is the typical price of "charity" events -- or most establishment -- entry), and all in character donations go towards charity. It is, at the end of the day, all for fun. If your FC can't afford it IC, then there's options. You could make a guild thing out of it with your people (on your own time, obviously) where maybe they do leves or other adventurer work so that they work up enough gil to donate. As, they'd likely not be able to participate due to things like the amount of candy they'd need to buy or otherwise. Similar, if your FC can't ICly afford it, they could participate by doing groups of ToTers, and make other FCs pay more because y'all can theme yourselves. ;3 There's still ways to participate all around. ♥

Tricks are simple mini games that your FC designs for people who come by your house. This can be anything from an emoted game to a Halloween-themed maze in your home. Treats are more simple, as they're simply your FC handing out candy. ♥ All items are in character but you're welcome to make a batch of fun items to hand out, instead! Note, that this is up to the company's discretion, so make sure it is easy to identify what that "theme" is! [/align]

I will say that I do see Nunh RPers get consistent RP, and I have seen Nunh, "Done well." I will also say that, "Done well," is completely a matter of opinion, perspective, and what you expect to get out of your RP. Will being a Nunh make you never get RP ever? Nah. Could it attract RP you may or may not want? Sure. Ultimately, if you do your research, and put thought into your character you're going to find a group of people that want to associate with you. ♥

♥ Small and simple status update ♥ We're currently closed until close to January. Around that point we'll reopen recruitment and start our next guild arc in the new year. ♥

Repeating into the void but: I'll only use this when I'm walk-up friendly. It's a great way to signify I'm available for RP. As someone who has been minorly GM'd by walk-ups when I was afk and they RP'd for my character while I wasn't available? I've always sort of detested not having a clear way to be like, "Not available," and this is a way to show I am available so people don't assume so (let the record show I don't have, 'Walk Up Friendly,' in my SI when these walk ups were happening). I think utilizing it as a way to show you're available & walk-up friendly can also negate some of the anxiety people have about whispering others to make sure. Now they have an RP signal that tells them, "Yep! I'm here and I'm looking for RP!"
