  1. My character Simi is a Scholar (aka, someone with a fairy). It's an extensive part of her characters history and present roleplay. :3
  2. ♥ Support & Love. ♥ Very awesome people and concept.
  3. Do you know who I should contact regarding that? Kaiten Tobukizu is the contact I know. :3
  4. Yeah, the GM's name kinda looks off to me. Are the GMs in the game just CALLED Gm? I would figure they'd have a tag or something. From what I understand, [] cannot be used in naming conventions. Thus, [GM] Gm is official (I also searched other logs and this is the method of naming they use in ffxiv). This suggests it isn't a spoof. People will report others for various reasons. I do agree that it feels off. It's too vague, the language isn't explanatory, he doesn't answer the questions properly, etc. This heightens suspicion that the GM is new or doesn't understand English quite as well.
  5. I believe at one point it was stated by devs that action would not be taken against the selling/trade/purchase of player-to-player housing. I'd have to see if I can find the quote because that information is second hand. Reviewing the logs, it does look like English was not their first language (or they're grandly misunderstanding the situation), and reviewing the ToS (mind, I haven't made my way fully through it) I haven't seen anything that would label it against their policies (as it isn't RMT). Edited to add: It is possible the dev thought that there was real cash being exchanged instead of gil. It was clarified that gil wasn't being traded but the report he received may of claimed real cash. Update (9/22/15 | 6:03AM PST): I remain unable to find the official dev statement (should it actually exist). However, my read through of the ToS remains unable to find where this particular trade (read: gil that hasn't been purchased with real cash, housing that isn't bought with real cash, gil exchange only) is illegal / against policies.
  6. I use "" in say. For those saying they haven't seen it in other MMOs: it is actually fairly common in both WoW and heavily in GW2. I can't speak for others but I've seen it done in both of those. For me, it's a stylistic preference. Some people do, some people don't, there's no right or wrong there. I like it because I write with the idea that I'm doing collaborative story writing. I like more stories / novels to have usage of quotations. I also strictly only use /em for actions. I'll never put dialog in it. That, too, is just stylistic preference.
  7. Hoshichou's journal (Balmung) is on her tumblr. The page can be found here. http://kintsukuroi-memoir.tumblr.com/journal
  8. Everyone's should be entered. Please make sure that I added them to the right place. (:
  9. I've received a few questions lately so I'll try to cover them in a statement here, too! Are we still recruiting? Yes, we are! It's not an active recruitment (as we're happy with our member number) but we are still reviewing applications. The doors are not closed, yet! Who can I talk to? I have been a little ill lately so my play time has taken a hit. If I'm around, I'm on Simi Jinkjahl or Hoshichou Gisei. Other officers available are: Basim'a Jinkjahl, Isranne Montagneaux, Larkspur Nym or Amethyst Sere. Where can I find more information? Right here! Along with other places available to the public on our site. Similarly, that's where you can find our application form and hire us form (hover your mouse over Documents). Do you have a linkshell? Yes, but it's only for members of the sanctuary. Our linkshell is used for pearl communications along with events. <3 Hope that helps some.
  10. I have added all of these. (: PSA: I will probably be going through this shortly and seeing what is and isn't still active. If I end up removing you please just give me a poke to add you back (along with your link and character). I did it. Just keeping things tidy! I removed the, "Not Found," ones.
  11. No one has censured anyone for any reason. I do not understand why this keeps coming up. Not everyone is going to agree with everything you do, not here and not in real life. So do what you want. No one is saying that you can't play whatever you want. No one has ever said that. Now, they've said, "I don't acknowledge that in my RP." And they've said, "This isn't backed up by the lore we have in the game." But no one has ever, ever - not even one damn time - said, "You can't play that because I say so." Ever. Not ever. No one is censuring anyone. Just because they don't agree with something you're doing does not mean they are censuring you. It means they don't agree with you. Which is something adults do all the time - not agree with each other. Doesn't mean anyone is being mean to anyone else. Doesn't mean that you can't do what you want. It means someone disagrees with you. That's it. That's all. That's literally all it is. Well, that was quite the overreaction to a rather unimportant statement. Also, you don't really know the experiences of everyone so to say no one has ever said a thing is only limited to you experience. Maybe you have not experienced it, but some of us have. Thing is, the comment on Censure keeps being brought up in arguments about lore, usually only when someone disagrees with someone. Typically targeted at a few certain people, so it is understandable that they would react in such a manner. Similar to my statement above, whereas I understand the need to feel one's voice get out there on both sides of this spectrum, I think the what has, and what hasn't, been experienced by various players isn't something that should be addressed in this particular thread. I've seen these particular topics go south very quickly and I would like to see this thread stay on a positive track of debate. x: A little more on track: Thank you Sounsyy for the lore quotes!
  12. I think the problem is that, in all of our hunting, we've not found a statement that says the elementals gave the Amdapori the White (only that they gave it to the Padjal). Instead, in the comment by Raya that the Amdapori may of created it themselves: "The people of Amdapor felt this power was too great to be allowed to go unchecked, and so it was that white magic - the magic of healing and solace - was born. So it was that the forces of magic were brought into equilibrium, and civilization flourished." As the OP points out, the context of her full statement suggests the Amdapori created it, the elementals wiped it out, and retained the knowledge. From there, they bestowed it onto the Padjali. I've messaged Sounsyy once about this in the past. I really wanted her and N'oh to talk about this because I think seeing them go back and forth in this discussion would be awesome. SOUNSYY, SOUNSYY LOOK.
  13. Hey there! I can link you some things that may help you with Au Ra. (: Scales of Othard is a Linkshell on Balmung (OOC) meant to connect Au Ra players. Doman Memoir is a inspiration (tumblr) blog with varying visuals and lore bits The Official Forums have race naming conventions that come along with lore. If you have any questions not answered in these locations let me know and I'll try to help you out! Likewise, my character is Hoshichou and I'm always happy to RP with people!
  14. If other offers do not meet your needs, Hoshichou is a healer and she can be found in both Gridania or Limsa. The latter she'll often operate out of the Midnight Pearl's medical bay.
  15. Occasional, random bump/update. We're getting into our, "Of Light & Shadow," plot arc. Though, we'll still be open just for a little longer!
  16. Pretty much this is how I feel about this thread. These discussions have happened enough it just sort of feels like we're at the, "Kicking the dead horse," stage? They're not even hard to find when you search for them. That being said, some of the posts I've read have really given off the vibe of, "For shame, how dare you don't roleplay in ." Whereas that's not necessarily their intention I believe we all play characters the way we do for a reason. And that's okay. It's one of those, "Live and let live," situations. I, also, can't honestly speak for how much of a problem this is out of my own experience. From what I've witnessed, people have accepted conservative and liberal characters in my social circles. There's never been a problem of, "How dare you RP a racist!" Though, I have heard about these situations. I've heard about IC and OOC lines being crossed on both sides of this playing field (in other games, mind you, so I get where the fear stems from?). My only suggestion with this is: If you don't want to roleplay a conservative character then don't. If you don't want to roleplay with conservative characters then don't. If you encounter a conservative player through public RP and don't want to be involved in it, leave, don't suddenly get OOC offended because they're not playing according to your sandbox. You went to the public sandbox. You can go back to yours and play with your toys and friends. This goes for the liberal side, too: If you don't want to roleplay a liberal character then don't. If you don't want to roleplay with liberal characters then don't. If you encounter a liberal player through public RP and don't want to be involved in it, leave, don't suddenly get OOC offended because they're not playing according to your sandbox. You went to the public sandbox. You can go back to yours and play with your toys and friends. IC =/= OOC IG =/= RL It's never going to be fully accepted by roleplay communites. There's always going to be "them apples," but the most you can do is strive to not be one of them. I play liberal characters. I'm comfortable with liberal characters. That isn't to say that I disapprove of conservative characters because enjoying liberal characters doesn't instantly make me some conservative hater. That's not how that works. I encourage players to tell their stories, how they want to be told, with the people they desire to tell them with. Blahblah, I don't know where I'm going with this. I guess my point is: Play what you want to. You can encourage people to play various different archtypes and flaws but don't discourage people from playing in a fashion they're comfortable with. *disclaimer: this is not directed to any one person. There's just some vibes I'm getting from this thread where it feels like it has gone or will go in that direction. Try to dodge it. You're all beautiful. ♥
  17. I do, too! But they're all really well done, I'm excited to see the one you decided on!
  18. I do believe this has already been confirmed in lore and through dev statements that all the Eorzean races and their sub-clans/tribes/whatever you wish to call them can inter-breed (actually, I know, as this inquiry has come up before ^^;; I just don't have the material on hand). EDIT All found from HERE.
  19. Well here's a name I haven't seen in a while. Lovely as always. <3
  20. Hello there, I've searched around here and there and found mixed reviews and opinions on the Doman spirituality. I've seen it mentioned that they worship the elements or, alternatively, that they worship kami which are more than just elements and include: animals and spirits of the revered deceased. Can anyone find (or know) the direct quotes or have a confirmation on this? x.x Apologies, the people I usually look for had varying statements on the manner and I didn't want to derail those threads. D:
  21. Current price has dropped to 60m Still willing to negotiate 60 mil + cost of the plot once it defaults :I They can drop as low as 40, I believe, but the point with this is that there is no defaults nor knowledge of when new wards will be added. So, you end up buying the convenience.
  22. If you take any interest in Hoshichou (wiki wip) I'm sure we could find some time to RP! ^^
  23. I think I have put everyone into the correct place. x.x
