The most disappointing part of it for me is that there's no reason for you to do this shit. You're literally doing dungeons, exiting, and reflagging. That's not to say the original quest had a whole ton of good story, but they at least explain why you need atma and Alexandrite. Reading through the quest log to get the locations in the right order, they half-ass in a bunch of "You sat in the belly of Sastasha and wanted to be someplace warm. Why not Qarn?!" kind of shitty leaps of logic to explain why you're doing everywhere. This is basically all chores with no dressing. I'm interested in the overall story (I mean, I like soul weapons) but the little "in between" bits -- as Warren pointed out -- feel forced to me.

Hit or miss. It depends how far in your zeta you are (as there's atma farming in this, too). It's a lot of RNGesus. So one way or another you need to pray to your lord and savior. . . . . .And even then he'll probably hate you.

Two of my characters make use of minions! Hoshi has three, Bun, Sassie, and Pluph. Bun is a baby bun, Sassie is a fat cat, and Pluph is her panda familiar. Bun she bonded with in the Shroud, Sassie she found on the docks, and Pluph is a lesser panda who was gifted to her (and later became her familiar). Simi has Noh, who isn't really hers (he belongs to her eldest son), and he's a coeurl cub.

Slight side note - there's no reason to believe that Doma is landlocked, correct? In fact, I'm pretty sure it has a coastline, and Tatsu's island would be somewhere just off of it. I'm not suggesting that she's from another far-flung area of Othard. Nope, there's no reason at all! There are Raen and Domans who have come from ships. Similar, the vessels that arrived from the Far East are believed Doman. Doma = Island off the coast of Othard. Othard = Continent. Both = Have ships / trading available.

I don't know if this has been posted here yet ( I did a quick check and saw nothing but I keep seeing people make the mistake D: ), but PLEASE remember to get your replicas (you must have completed the quest ‘The Vital Title.’) BEFORE turning in your zeta weapons! If you fail to do so, you won't be able to get the replicas. They're currently working to fix this but save yourself the stress. Edit to add: Dev post: they're looking into it.

Though Raen moreso come from Doma -- an island off the shore of Othard -- it is plausible (especially considering some Xaela tribe descriptions) that one would settle on the coast of Othard (in a village or otherwise). There's no reason that this isn't a thing. However, it was created by a bunch of math nerds sitting around a table in the South Seas. We know that Doma has magic, we know that there are pretty much scholars everywhere, there's no reason that Arcanists and the Arcane couldn't have been in Doma/Othard, too. The likelihood of "discovering" something similar? Eh. People would already likely know it as Arcanima, it might even be trained there, so it's more plausible she was taught by just another Arcanist in Othard.

If we can get signups (that don't just go up in flames) I will be there to help I can heal! I have a pocket tank, too, but he's able to dps. ♥

Unfortunately, I don't know if this is the right thread, or if you'll find the answers you're looking for here. Plenty of people use the forums. Plenty of people use tumblr. Some have a preference while others don't. I couldn't tell you the specifics on how big those pools are. I can tell you that tumblr does have a lot of interactive characteristics that makes it beneficial towards roleplay as a whole. Events are still broadcasted here as others are broadcasted on tumblr. This thread is for people who do use -- or want to use -- tumblr to further their enjoyment in ffxiv. So I think any posts here might be bias in tumblr's favor. *italtics used to indicate pre-edited post. Edit: Did not notice the new page, derpaderp, though, what I said still stands.

♥ The Midnight Pearl celebrated her one year anniversary this past weekend. Similar, we wrapped up our Chapter Two guild arc with a funeral for the lost. The rest of this month will continue to be a social event before we pick up our Chapter Three arc in the new year. We're still accepting members. What are the rules on tasteful nudity and our character wikis (read: artwork of tasteful nudity)? Is it gallery only, not gallery and spoiler only, allowed period, not allowed at all? x.x Sorry for the derptastic question.
