If it's food next time, can people spectate and then eat the food?

My Jakatolui might make an appearance. She thinks she's an expert blacksmith, but... eh, she really isn't. I might have to coerce her into going. EDIT: I believe it is at 9pm EST, going by the title of the thread.

My problem with that feature is that it says "Support-related feedback or suggestions." Which is vague, and could mean either "Support-related feedback" OR "Suggestions," or "Support-related feedback or Support-related suggestions," which sounds more likely. I don't think these suggestions end up being read by anyone other than the support team, since all the other buttons go to either the Game Masters or the bug squishers. "Feedback and suggestions regarding FFXIV can be posted on the official FFXIV General Discussion forums." It says that on the bottom, there. I'm gonna guess that means they only really want support-related feedback/suggestions being sent through this feature.

-snip- I've had people message me on the RPC before saying they've looked at my wiki page and are interested in setting up RP. If it's happened to me, it's not that uncommon. Especially with how my pages are only half-done at best... Speaking of which, I should probably finish sorting out the backstory for some of them...

I'm another in the camp of "always picks non-human." I like being a lizard person, but most of the time I'm stuck as a catgirl. Now, the first time I played FFXIV, I think I tried Miqo'te and Lalafell, but my memories of the 2.0 beta are fuzzy. When I finally started playing in earnest last winter, I tried each race in the creator and only Miqo'te F, Lalafell M and F, and Roegadyn F stuck for me. Miqo'te ended up being my main until Au Ra came out. I fantasia'd and renamed my Miqo'te to an Au Ra after falling in love with playing her brother, who I made in HW headstart. The lore for them just fits me a lot better. I've even made them a tribe backstory, which I never bothered to do with my catgirl before. Aside from that I've still got a male Lala (because he is absolutely adorable), and a female Roe (because besides being badass, she also reminds me of my Giant characters back in Mabinogi c: (except there are actually nice clothing options)). Together they are one big happy disjointed and weird family in my mind.

I will certainly be doing this, as not all of my characters are even part of a FC. Thank you for this idea.

Like Enla, I try to get my characters to a point where they make sense for where I want them IC... but I don't always stick with that. My characters have very different roles gameplay-wise, so I often play what I feel like doing that day and I don't end up switching until I've run out of rested XP. At this point I'm not even sure if I have a main. I always crave variety (in gameplay as well as IC behavior) so I switch characters too often for my own good. It's not very efficient and it can get confusing when it comes to FCs and such, so I guess I'm not a great example to follow. I used to play two more characters but have recently retired them to keep the number maxed at 4. Thankfully I'm still using them as background material to build my remaining characters who were related.

I still need to create one for one of my characters, though I'm waiting until I've figured out which direction I will take her first. As for the other three, they're coming along slowly... Very slowly.

9h-13h GMT on weekdays would probably be the best time to check, if I didn't wildly miscalculate. Basing this off 2h-6h pacific time, which is whenabouts I'd usually check back when I needed to get characters on the server. Best of luck.

One of my characters, Zuzureji, wants to be a hero of sorts. Mainly he wants the power a hero has to do good and to protect those close to him. He's got a long way to go. The rest of my characters don't really have an interest in heroics. Though Jakatolui wouldn't mind being famous and rich from beating things on the head.

Advertisements is an interesting idea. Otherwise I wouldn't mind a small entry fee. I think the setting in front of Halatali is nice given the dungeon's original purpose, but there certainly were a lot of people, as you say. I had a lot of fun at the event and look forward to more. I was just a spectator but it was quite a learning experience.

My Zuzureji will probably be by to gawk adoringly at the adept fighters. c:

My Jakatolui Noyakir is a fun-loving and probably trouble-making Au Ra mainly based in and around Limsa as a part-time smithy trainee (more like a part-time smithy nuisance), and spends her free time beating stuff up (and possibly taking odd jobs of that sort) with an axe and catching some fish to trade for materials (because her product doesn't really sell for nearly anything). I've also got a Roegadyn by the name of Usynthuv Wintahrwyn who is just picking up arcanima at the guild. She's rather serious and quiet, though she can get carried away when it comes to certain things (ex: she finds carbuncles absolutely adorable). She's not as developped yet, but I wouldn't mind trying to sort her out in practice rather than all in my head. I'm usually around sometime between the morning and night EDT, so if you would like to meet up, feel free to shoot me a PM/tell/friend request. Also I am not the most experienced in RP so I also am not the quickest to reply either, hehe. Oh and I've got a wiki for Jakatolui (link), but it's a big WIP for now.

-You can RP wherever you like! In town, in the field, even in a dungeon! Non-RPers generally tend to be respectful so long as you aren't impeding on their gameplay (otherwise, there's the blacklist), so you can do it just about anywhere without issue. Just be sure that if you RP in a place like a dungeon, that everyone is there for the same reason. -A safe bet for whether or not you can jump into someone's RP is to kindly ask them. Many people will be happy to have more RPers join in if asked. And if it's an event, then you could check if it's open or closed either by checking online (if available) or asking. -I don't think it's particularly rude to sent tells to people who are doing RP unless you send them like... a bunch, to the point that it becomes spam. There is a helpful thread here on the RPC that covers a lot of the common practices and the like for RP in FFXIV. I recommend giving it a look if you haven't already. Ah, yes. I was looking at the big rivers on the map of Eorzea and wondering how much traffic there is on them. Very interesting~

Originally I was going to have him just walk along the coast, maybe spot some of what's left of Ala Mhigo, but I figured that would be... a challenge, given the reason most are leaving Othard. Although there aren't any ports in the Shroud, it is still rather interesting that there may be people in the Rothlyt Sound. Doesn't seem too unreasonable that a passenger might have gotten a ride to the mainland from one of the islands. Or something. We'll see, haha. Anyway, thank you very much. Hello everyone! I've got a question that needs answering so I can figure out the start of my character's adventure in Eorzea. So what do I need to know? Are there any port towns or settlements with docks on the eastern coast of Aldenard, such as in the Black Shroud or Thanalan? My character is an Au Ra and I would like to know exactly where he first set foot on this foreign soil (supposing he came by boat from Doman ports), and possibly even start my RP right then and there if there's anybody nearby. Thanks!

Character Fear? Qaratolui is afraid of large open spaces and is rather fearful of most women. How do they cope? So far, avoidance. How do people respond to their fear? Haven't had the pleasure of RPing him yet. Though his sister used to always pick on him, reinforcing his anxiety towards women. Do you think one day they could be cured of their fear? Certainly. He will have to get more comfortable around both if he hopes to succeed in his quest.

There is a crew of pirates called the Kraken's Arms, featured in the level 2 Limsa Lominsa sidequest "Licensed to Reave", which, if I recall correctly, goes to Othard regularly to obtain Doman spices and Garlean... supplies. If they do go there often, it wouldn't be totally impossible that they might sneak some refugees out of there. Aside from that, the pirates of Limsa Lominsa apparently make their living by going after Garlean ships that have wandered too close to the city state. I'm not terribly knowledgeable about how the Garleans do things, but there might be some Au Ra on the ship as prisoners/slaves/etc. being moved from one place to the other? In which case the Lominsan pirates might hopefully take them in. Hopefully I'm not totally wrong on this, as it could be interesting to incorporate in some background story...
