  1. Things have been quiet for several months due to RL and things, but we are still around. Expect a bit of a rewrite/clarification soon.
  2. The assembled group meets with a "Mister Tia", who explains that the house has been empty for as long as he or his boss can remember. The area and house itself is incredibly dense with aether. Upon touching the handle, Rurula tells the group that she heard a voice asking if she belonged there. The group "dismantles" the trap as they enter and meet two ghosts - a Dunesfolk lalafell named Kikira Kira and her quiet miqo'te assistant 'Peony' - who claim to be just two of the house's previous owners. Al Altan attempts to attack the former but only succeeds in learning about the heavy wards upon the house. Once the ghosts leave to "tell the others", Yume and Rurula explore the house and find some very old books and bottles downstairs. Yume and her two sisters move in straight away.
  3. Our first gathering met with great success! Yuyume hinted at her odd story: that the stars (or gods) told her to build a "mogical magical workshop and inn", and that they led her to the rest of the members of Moghearth. Once built, she'll have a clearer vision as to what's going on. Probably. But first, her latest vision has found the house they need to build their foundations on. It.. may or may not be haunted though. Yuyume will soon assemble a group to investigate.
  4. Do you believe in mogic? .. hm? You heard me correctly. While not many know of it or what it does, anyone has the ability to feel it, to discover it. .. what? Oh! What is it, you ask? I direct you to one Yuyume Yume, a Dunesfolk transplant who recently came here to Eorzea from Radz at Han with her twin and little sisters in tow. You see, the girl is a bit of a clairvoyant and a bit of an oddball, and she recently made a discovery. Something fascinating. Something wonderful. Something that had to be shared with the citizens of Eorzea before the next Umbral Era would destroy them all. What's more, they needed the tools and know-how to defeat whatever it is that would come after them. As you pass by this odd little lala, she gazes up at you and smiles a hazy smile. "You look like a mogic user who needs a home~.. Maybe we can help each other~.." ♪ Still, what is mogic, you ask? You will have to find out for yourself. Moghearth is medium-RP FC (and linkshell) headed by the alchemist and generalist mage Yuyume Yume, a girl from Thavnair who mixes magic, alchemy and crafting to create small magical trinkets and strange potions. With being a magical (mages) collective at its core, the group will eventually find a home so that Yuyume's dream can come into fruition: build a magic workshop and inn, which serves as both an adventuring hub for those who need work (magical reagents don't just appear out of thin air!) and a place of work for crafters and non-combatants. :moogle: TL;DR: Magical collective meets Atelier/Recettear games, Job Board, etc :moogle:
  5. *obligatory magical hip bump* Yes, wizards are still here for you. Yes.
  6. Still kickin'. Just the other day we got a new Wizard.. and scared him half to death with demon walls. Good times.
  7. Posting here to state that we're still kickin' it, wizard-school.
  8. Color me totally interested~ ... is "totally interested" a pink color? Maybe blue? Red? I got nothin'.
  9. Mysterium. *nodnod* Even in a few turbulent times, I have never not been happy with this FC. We raid, we dungeon, we RP. Just a helpful, awesome group of folks. I'm glad to call them my friends.
  10. Clalaris would definitely be interested in something like this, as she's a hodgepodge of that Hermetic-ish Mysterium that Freelance mentioned and other idea(l)s.
  11. I would love to snag a spot, please!
  12. And if your slots aren't snagged up after that, I'd also like one please~
  13. Curses. This thread reminds me that I need to get Lalafell commissions at some point. I'll just gaze at the cutes in the meantime~
  14. Clala is notorious for "..." for comedic effect. Hopefully most people who roleplay with her know this, or will. I should get this macro'd. /think .... /shocked or /disappointed There are so many things going around in that Lala's head, that it takes a long time to process and then overreact to them. Also a fan of trailing off... .. and thinking of something else to add.
  15. Clala would like to "accidentally" find all three Seraph cards and hide them forever and ever, but I guess just one will do.
  16. Old boss! Welcome back to being my boss again~
  17. Hey there Cora! A few things come to mind. If you're not attached to your server in any way, you could transfer your character over to Balmung or Gilgamesh (if it's not legacy). Look into the linkshells that are offered for each server and see if any are a good fit, keeping in mind that not all RP will be LS/FC-based anyway. If you are attached to Cerberus, you can post on various websites to see if there are any (wannabe) roleplayers out there. RPC is a good start, but if you're feeling brave and don't mind potential ridicule you can also try: Reddit, Something Awful, the Square Enix FFXIV forums, Bluegartr, Zam, etc. You could create an IC or OOC FC or linkshell and post it up on RPC. Another option is to just create an alt on Balmung and/or Gilgamesh for roleplaying purposes. Good luck!
  18. Hey you! You ran into my alt (Lalatte Latte) the other day and chatted with a bunch of random Lalafell. Nice to see you on here.
  19. For Clalaris, I took a few quirks from different characters (like Lina Inverse/Princess Milk's eating habits), but I hadn't realized until recently that one of my favorite characters inspired her. Misao Amano/Pixy Misa from Pretty Samy A horribly repressed Lalafell/young girl who tends to hide her innermost desires. Often feels horrible about it. Not quite as repressed around her lover/best friend. Getting drunk/turning into a dark magical girl brings out the (somewhat) worst in her. ~ For Lalatte, her sister, it's somewhat similar, with less ignoring her ID and more stabbing. She actually desires to go back to being repressed. Also, a bit of: Celestia Ludenberg from Dangan Ronpa Most of her personas involve acting refined and sweet, but she's a dangerous liar. Push her buttons and she reacts not-so-refined and sweet.
  20. This is precisely what I mean by some characters' universes not intersecting with others. Since it was just an FC + a few friends' event, this wasn't publically broadcast.
  21. This. I think the problem is that this is such an open-ended world with so many different storylines going on, that it's hard to include everyone. There is no single DM running a plot. There are multiple DMs - officers of FCs/LSes, the players - running their own storylines that may or may not mesh well with others' storylines. As an example, over a month ago my character was involved in an FC storyline event in Limsa where HOLY CRAP MULTIPLE EXPLOSIONS AND MAGITEK AND EVERYTHING. While this is going on, other roleplayers not involved in this event are happily getting drunk on their ales at the Bismark. What gives? There's explosions afoot! C'mon people, get your swords! What gives is that there are essentially multiple universes going on that may or may not intersect with your own universe. If you want in, all you gotta do is ask! As another example, I'm currently running my own storyline that involves a smattering of people. It branches out as the characters choose to involve other characters. It's their own choice whether they want to include the entire Free Company or not, or if they want to include outside help. This really all depends on the characters' personalities, motives, etc. Hell, some characters know the hooks but choose not to be involved. That's perfectly fine too! I'm planning on writing up a separate hook once a different FC storyline is "settled" - if I get the coolio from the officers. Will I post it up on RPC? We'll see. Too large a group makes me nervous. As for events, I will be more than happy to run stories for people. Not huge MEET N' GREET events like I've seen, but rumors going around town or even personal storylines if people want outside help.
  22. My "bad" character is a really really horrible person, though it's cathartic to play her since I find her motives so interesting. Whenever I play her, I tend to push myself past my inner censor to go that extra mile and achieve her goal. She's not evil and cruel for evil's sake. She has reasons for doing the things she does. ... wait, did I just admit that I'm a bad person? Anyway, she's fine in small doses. The only thing we share is that we have a love for shiny objects. My main, Clalaris, is still kind of an enigma to me in that her thoughts and motives teeter from good to bad to good again. She believes herself to be a horrible and cruel person for the most part, yet most of her intentions are good and maybe even pure. It's really fluid and depends on what company she keeps (or lack thereof) and what's happened to her recently. Blame it on her history, and on family like the bad person mentioned above. I doooo see a little of myself in her as my own intentions are good!... but we can be a little cruel sometimes. Also, together we make some bad decisions!
  23. Hey Devin! Depends on what you mean by "fiancée", I suppose! Clalaris's father has introduced a bunch of beaus for his future Sultana to marry, but she's turned them all down. If that little plot point interests you and you want to discuss further, please let me know. There's also Lalatte, her sister, who is.. uh... well... more or less inclined to the cruel and evil-ish side.
  24. Lalatte Latte will spy for and kill for you, as long as the pay is decent. 8-)
