  1. Your art is stunning! Kudos! *subtle bump to let more people see the gorgeous art posted *
  2. Nebbs is a unique character and the player is witty, too! I can't say I've roleplayed with her, but it sounds like it'd make for a fun time. Kellach has a great wiki. I read the out of that. I think everybody else should take a look at it, too, since it looks like Kellach the player spent a lot of time on it. :moogle:
  3. Welcome to my favorite forum game! This thread is similar to the "Kudos" thread, but here, everybody gets a compliment! That's right! You might be wondering... "what's the point of complimenting somebody I don't know just for the sake of doing it?" The answer? It puts you to your wits and helps you see the good in people, because, let's face it. Everybody has a little good in them. The rules are as follows: Compliment the poster above you! I'll start - The Hydaelyn Roleplayers Coalition and FFXIV community is home to some of the nicest roleplayers around. Every character that I've seen so far has something interesting about them, and each player I've spoken to has been incredibly kind and receptive.
  4. I'm late to the party, but I received a waffle maker, chapstick, a portable cup, a stained glass necklace, forty dollars, Skyrim (from a great guy) and some monetary help with these Doc Martens I've been wanting for a long time. I may have been a little spoiled this Christmas.
  5. Welcome back to Balmung and the RPC! I'm not yet on Balmung, but when I make it on the server, you can toss me a PM whenever!
  6. Y'lani is a "For Ul'dah!" gal, without a doubt. She makes like she despises the city in her speech, but her songs and actions depict otherwise. Y'lani wants it to be redeemed of its corruption, and would go through great lengths to help that happen, but she hasn't been able to seize an opportunity for it yet! For now, she'll simply have to keep her passion to her cultural songs as a bard. EDIT: I forgot to state that she wants the city to be more in favor of the petty rabble/commonfolk rather than the rich and powerful. She knows that not all of the rich are evil, though that doesn't stop her bitterness! She'd never steal or pillage herself, but if it helped the cause, she'd support those who do wholeheartedly.
  7. Gilgamesh is open! Balmung is not. Who wants to wait with me and shuffle cards? If we get enough people, I don't mind opening a digital Cards Against Humanity game.
  8. I can't say I'm the greatest with screenshots, but I can say that taking a photography class and learning all of the terms helped me with pictures both in-game and out. If you want to learn what makes for a good picture, I wholely recommend a course. Now, if you're talking about photo quality in the technical term - • Run your settings as high as you can. If your computer can't take max settings, don't try max settings. My computer is like a toaster. Works great on the lower settings, but if you push it to the max, it fizzles out sooner than later. • Use a photo editing program. Photoshop is my personal favorite, though in my signature I am clearly not using Photoshop. Some people like Gimp, others like Instagram, but I use Imgur advanced settings because I'm cheap because it works. SweetFX isn't a photo editing program, but it makes the game gorgeous. • Don't be afraid to mess with the unknown. See a setting you're curious about? Wondering what "white-out" is? Take a risk and try it! More than half of the time, you'll be wondering how you lived without it. My experience with this: the magic wand tool. If that magic wand tool turned out to be true magic, I would not be surprised in the slightest. That's all the advice I have to share, and I wish you luck with your screenshots!
  9. -snip- I'll make it a point to try and catch you online then, even if I have to stay up for it. I'll make the same effort with you, and thank you! :moogle: Perfect because I live in another timezone and my character hasn't even reached level 30 v.v Hey, your character is a higher level than mine! That is, unless level 0's are now in style. As for your timezone: you'll find me most often from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM CST. I might be on at other times, but those are the best times to look for me. HI BRAM! THANK YOU FOR POSTING ON MY THING. GO BRAM! Thanks for the warm welcome, everybody!
  10. What is the gear that you two are wearing? It looks stunning! Pardon me if it's common knowledge.
  11. How much is the going rate for your tea and coffee and what's the house specialty? Welcome to the community -snip- I'll make it a point to try and catch you online then, even if I have to stay up for it. I'll make the same effort with you, and thank you! :moogle:
  12. How much is the going rate for your tea and coffee and what's the house specialty? Welcome to the community It's as free as your time is. Which, inconveniently, is not very free if you happen to be an expensive person to spend time with. (The upperclass, anyone?) The house specialty is "Fat Chocobo ala Mode". The taste is as it sounds.
  13. Hello! I'm Nyte, and my main is Y'lani. (You can call me either!) I've been lurking on these forums for a little while now and I figure it is high time to let myself out of the lurkers and into the contributors. I wouldn't say I'm exactly new to roleplaying, but I am a newblood to this community. I'm new to Final Fantasy XIV and, I'll admit, I'm still tugging at the early ropes. I haven't even gotten into Balmung yet! (Though my profile says otherwise, because I am determined). I can't wait to meet you all when I finally make it into the same server as most of you! Here, if you'd like, I can offer coffee and we can wait together. I offer tea too, as part of the Official Tea Time Balmung Services™. See you then!
