2. Hay artists! I was recently poking through D'ly's art and some of her links were broken and I was like . Today I was rechecking my stuff and ALL my links were broken. It's Tumblr's fault! If you have stuff linked on your pages from tumblr you might want to check your links. It may also we something we have to do in the future, again... and again... I don't know!
3. Why must you mock my tongue tripping 11 calls ; ; lul
4. FYI to those waiting on stuff! As you probably noticed, my progress slowed greatly~ This was due to a number things: holidays, jobs for official companies, laziness , and finally getting a new graphics cards that didn't jive with my tablet @_@. Thanks to Kaworu/Ophelia, it is working again! There's so much jiving I feel like I'm in the 1950s. I have picked up working on one of the non-bust commissions and will try and get my ass back in gear to finish everyone's stuff. o7
5. Doing/Did a little clean up, let's keep this wire-walking thread on track.
6. I went to look through all your arts and a bunch of the links are broken ; ;. Just thought I'd post an FYI
7. A Court of Cards: The Search for a Full House Are you looking to show off your talents to the world? Or maybe you're just looking for a place to relax for the day? Well, look no further! The Vylbrand Academy's featured Limsa Lager Club is hosting our first ever Talent Show Competition with a joint venture with Soliloquy, Eorzea's famous entertainers! This talent showcase features the theme of: "A Court of Cards: The Search for a Full House." What is this theme you ask? Look no further than that deck of cards riding high in your pocket. We're talking about playing cards: Queens, Kings, Jacks and Jokers! Silks and satins, or miss-matched bells! Red and blacks of the deck or royal purple! Sing us a tale of kings and their courts or weave the woes of a gambling thief down on his luck! The possibilities are endless and only limited to your imagination and talent. So do we still have your interest? Wonderful! The festivities will take place on Saturday April 25th at 3pm CST/4pm EST (EU Friendly time!) in Vylbrand Academy in the Mists, Ward 3 Plot 2. Anyone may attend even if you just wish to be part of the audience! We will have our bar available for drinks and food for those worried about meals and drinks! For those who are interested in performing at the talent show will need to sign up by contacting Xenedra Ambreaus or Kyra Tsukino. The rules are as follows: Participants of the Talent Show will have an entry fee of 1000 gil that will be divided up at the end of the night to the top 3 entrants in the talent show. The performance can be no longer than 5 to 7 minutes, depending on the amount of participants who sign up to perform as to ensure everyone has a chance to show off their talent. The Audience may vote for their favorite talent by casting their vote in the ballot box, which will be handled by one of Vylbrand's staff – (OOCILY, the individual will keep a tally of each person to make sure there is only 1 vote per person) After all performers have finished their talent show, we will announce the winners. 1st place will get 50% of the entry fees. 2nd place will get 30% and 3rd will receive 20%. The Deadline for signing up for being one of the performers in the talent show will be no later than April 22. That way we can set up a line up and make sure everyone is prepared on Saturday. Any other questions, feel free to contact Xenedra Ambreaus or Nathan Telluride of Soliloquy, or Kyra Tsukino of Unsung Heroes. Vylbrand Academy and Soliloquy hope to see you there!
8. People always visiting my house, ruining my fun... VASH
9. It's been said, but I'm going re-state and agree with the idea that it's probably best to judge person by person and depending on their background. I've also seen it stated that someone can't become a competent lancer/drg in 5 years. Obviously there are no dragon slaying, mile high jumping dragoons in reality, but there are people that pick up a weapon and in 5 years are competent enough to be called a master, if only a lower tiered one. There are also people who do this at a pretty young age, even now-a-days. I don't think it's beyond reason for a person younger than 24 to claim mastery of dragoon-ing. There are obvious exceptions, including, but certainly not limited to, the possibility that the ranks of the dragoons don't accept people that young or the character themselves is not originally from Ishgard or has some tie there-in. I personally think the biggest thing that ought to limit whether a character can claim to be a master level dragoon is whether they would have had the opportunity to be exposed to the art, rather than something like age.
10. Get the band back together
11. The first time around with the Mr. Eorzea Pageant we had a bunch of rounds; some were answering questions, others were best outfit type deals and others were games that actually found winners on their own. It was a fun event with a good turn out and, I like to think, a pretty fair choice at the end. I myself was one of the judges and didn't even know the winner we chose at the time . Memories~: Look, it was during little ladies day : P! Old Mih Khetto's Amphitheater for those curious as to the location. And there's the winner, Navei, up front in his fabulous manties. You should totally invite him back for a judge slot!
12. Have them poke me or Nathan
13. Is it too late to sign up? I hope not, I'd love to finally make it ! Two slots: Xenedra Ambreaus Castus Allard
14. Let's keep this on topic please

16. From Ilwe’ran to Jaques & Vaughn By Nathan Thank you for being my friends, Seeing me fall and bounce back again. Your hearts are true; you're my friends when I need it most. I'm not ashamed to say, I hope you both always stay this way. My hat is off to you; I offer you both a toast. If you hosted a party, invited everyone you knew, The biggest gift would be from me to the both of you, And the card attached would say, "Thank you for being my friends today" I wanna thank you, thank you for being my friends. If it's a ride you lack, my chocobo's tied up in the back; Whatever you need any time of the night or day. I'm not ashamed to say, I hope you both always stay this way. My hat is off to you, and I'd repay you if I may. If we should all get older, with our walking canes and hair of gray, Have no fear even though it's hard to hear, I will stand in close and say, Thank you both for being my friends. I wanna thank you, thank you for being my friends.
17. From Mackayla (Secretly!) to Tyriont By Calico Ye took me heart and locked it in A chest with rum and gold and gin Then sailed away to raise a din In ports so far apart But I caught you up before you knew And stole yer ship and stole yer crew So now we share a grog for two The Pirate O’ Me Heart. I’ll always best you with a blade Drink you under any table made Ye loose your arrows, I’ll evade So stop before ye start But when I sail the shining sea No other fool they’ll ever be Swabbing the deck right next to me The Pirate O’ Me Heart Together ye and I shall stalk The waterways and cliffs of rock Until the plank I make ye waaaaaalk The Pirate O’ Me Heart
18. From Jancis Milburga to Coatleque By Nathan Are you the warrior, a'clad all in white Or is that one a leaf upon the wind? Are you the loving one, with eyes all alight In rainbow hues that have no end? Too many nights, perhaps, you've held up your shield Against both enemy and friend. Whom are you saving with the blade that you wield And whose is the life that you might spend? May all that you love, all that you love, All that you truly love come to you. To you, we raise a cup, and sing to the moon A thousand voices toast your name But is the woman that wears Sultana's white And the truth of you the same? May all that you love, all that you love, All that you truly love come to you. How many souls have you preserved with your strength And how much of your own would you spend However much, Ser Crofte, it has been enough Else I'd have been that leaf upon the wind. May all that you love, all that you love, All that you truly love come to you.
19. From Jancis Milburga to Tausenadel Geispyrsyn By Nathan The Coral Sea cookout was going full swing; almost everyone around had just arrived Popotoes were on the grill, and the drinks began to spill, leavin' everybody feelin' quite alive. The kabobs were grillin' down when Yellow-coats from Limsa-town showed up and started tellin' us to flee. They said, "Everyone should leave, for you really must believe, that sailor corpses are a-crawlin' from the sea!" That's when Tausenadel said, "We ain't losin' this cookout to undead!" It's a Popoto Cookout Beatdown time! We're roastin' up the popotoes for you. And if the undead won't behave, we'll knock 'em back into the waves from this here Popoto Cookout time. The zombies started shamblin' in as everyone was stammerin', a-wonderin' why the sodden dead had rose. But the answer became clear, that all the undead sailors here were just followin' their nose. Instead of simply packin' up, the chef then started smackin' up the zombies with his trusty grillin' tools. And he shouted to the crowd, with a voice all deep and loud, "My popotoes ain't for no zombie fools!" Then everybody cheered, and started bashin' undead 'tween their ears! It's a Popoto Cookout Beatdown time! We're roastin' up the popotoes for you. And if the undead wanna fight, well, we've got all day and night for this here Popoto Cookout time. When the skirmishin' was done, it was clear that everyone was covered head to toe in zombie goo. But Tausenadel manned the grill, lo and behold it was still filled with perfect popoto kabobs .... for me.... and you.
20. From Jancis Milburga to Otto Vann By Nathan Oh, Who are you taking home tonight? Oh, To sit beside that red fire light With whom... are you sharing all your wealth Oh, Otto Vann, come tell us all about yourself Got dressed up, for I was bored, in the best clothes I could afford Thought that I would be the pinnacle of chic Until I met up with the gent, who many stacks of gil had spent Upon an outfit that left all the ladies weak Spent many nights with many bands Playing in taverns o'er the land Seen many a dapper man along the way But every suit that they can muster Will just leave them wrought and flustered When the Uldan king of fashion comes to play Oh, Who are you taking home tonight? Oh, To sit beside that fire light With whom... are you sharing all your wealth Oh, Otto Vann, come tell us all about yourself Prob'ly own a dozen houses, and your eye for ladies' blouses Makes the other fashionistas cry to see You may live your life for pleasure, but you're still the biggest treasure That will grace all Thanalan's nobility Oh, Who are you taking home tonight? Oh, To sit beside that fire light With whom... are you sharing all your wealth Oh, Otto Vann, come tell us all about yourself.
21. From Jancis Milburga to Oscare Iono By Jaques and Nathan With a flex you cause reaction, to your joyous sense of fashion. With a wink and whirl you create,w songs and scenes most elaborate. For a bard, you really are the epitome. It's no wonder you're a part of Soliloquy. And when you smile it lights up a room, a treasure that has caused many to swoon. Now if you'll indulge my selfish plea, that you'll save a few smiles just for me. When you're playing for the crowd, and you're singing your soul aloud, all your friends you can plainly see, gathered 'round like a great big family. We’re there to see you, you’re all the rage, And we’ll be there still, when you’re offstage. Now I am cheering you from the crowd can you hear, even though they're all so loud? Oh if you'll indulge my selfish plea, that you'll send a bright smile, just for me. The tales you tell are truly a delight I’d listen to them late into the night. The sound of your voice, there’s nary a frown Oscare please, you really need not be down. So at the risk of sounding quite tacky, I hope you know: It's okay to be happy! Now smile that smile that lights up a room, a treasure that has caused many to swoon. And if you'll indulge my selfish plea, that you'll save some time, just for me.
22. From Janics Milburga to Iron Sea By Nathan What lies beneath an Iron Sea, the things that strangers cannot see? When the waves are calm, from shoal to shore, is he but the man that we adore? Placid in the stiller air, with shoulders that heavy burdens bear, His friends kept safe from port to pier, on gentle tides when skies are clear Yet ring the mast’s alarum bells, and foes beware his crests and swells, For enemies both fierce and fell shall be resigned to briny hells. And every treasured friend shall be kept safe upon the Iron Sea: Hard as the clamshell, soft as the foam, a bastion against the gloam. And should your skies be tempest-tossed, and hidden reefs do you accost Fear not, for we shall come across the precious trinket that you lost. Upon this day, Sword, be not blue. All our regards go out to you.
