For anyone who missed the stream Square is doing, FFXI will be cancelled on PS2 and Xbox in one year. PC service will continue. Additionally, Square is making a mobile game based on the story of FFXI. Their way of immortalizing it as part of the series, I suppose. Nexon will be doing development of the game. Make of that what you will. I've built up Javert to have a very strong dislike for Ishgardians. If he ends up going north in character, then I imagine it will be a fine chance to have him develop as a person. Perhaps his prejudices will wane. Or be reinforced. We'll see.

There's nothing that outright says "no, magitek prosthetic limbs are not possible." And even if there were I'd say do what you please, it is is your role play. Go wild and have fun.
