I certainly don't have a room, so I couldn't view them. But the cutscenes didn't feel that bad til 2.55 [THAT'S when the cutscenes get real] The ilevel is the biggest part. But a few runs of ST or CT fixes that pretty good.

It got confirmed in the twitch stream they did last week that the trainers are in Ishgard. So, those three things must be done indeed. I'm gonna find it odd that if they do give them job quests at increments of 5, running back to Ishgard and then moving back through the rest of the realm [minus Ishgard] to complete them sinch Ishgard is 50+ As for preparing for Heavensward? Level up Warrior to cap and Gladiator to post+20 for cross class skills and tanking experience in XIV Gear up to at least i120 so my DRK can just continue onward with little problem Wait for Xaela naming conventions Hold excitement for finally getting to RP a Xaelan

Personally... as I see it, the Dark Knights developed their techniques as a method to protect those that could not protect themselves. A sort of drive maybe, to do what was needed not what was desired by what controlled Ishgard. A saying akin to 'In order to keep those who deserve to be in the light, I accept walking in the darkness, so that I can protect them' Aside from that, that's all I have on the class. My Au Ra will be a DRK, mainly for the greatsword, as for how the abilities come/came to him [waiting a bit more to see how they explain the use of Darkness on DRK as a whole] to develop what brought those along. However, I do fully intend on having my character possibly joining them [his traveling companion permitting] or more than likely just sticking to my own ideas. It's all speculation at the moment.

I do not think there's enough strength to perform an adequate facepalm on this thread... now, if we are to take this conversation seriously, check the spoiler for my opinion. Kissing is not necessarily a thing when it comes to species and showing terms of affection. That's a thing deemed normal by humans, or in this case, the Hyur and the like. They probably have other ways of showing their affections to their mates. Another thing, if they decide to kiss, they can. Those horns hold more than enough space for one of the opposing gender to fit their head there. And it is entirely plausible that the horns shown go with a corresponding set, thus another way on how they find mates. Maybe. That's all speculation. Another thing. Interestingly enough, reading into how the Raen and Xaela sound..one being entirely more tribal and the other more secluded [if I read that right], and then them giving us Yugiri's name as a standing Raen, my speculation is that the Raen may have more names influenced by similar means. But the Xaelan may have their influence from tribal and slightly simpler/primative [if you can call it that] connotations and influences. Just my 2 cents.. I've got a name in mind for my fellow. Just trying to wait for the naming guide to reveal itself and see if I can make it work

I found something last night called the... Lore Train? So hopefully that'll help bring me up to speed, but I have enjoyed reading various threads and seeing the madness going on here, it's a good madness. From what I'm reading... seems a lot more just want to give it a small try versus having it govern their RP futures [as making it their mains]. Given I've next to no history with RP here, and only just got my current main moved to Balmung a short while back, it won't hit me as hard. Thank goodness I suppose, haha. But I plan on making up a story as possible without killing someone off. Runs around all shiny and doe eyed >.>

Brain sees optional while trying not to look like a bumbling fool on a post, and figures no need to look.. >.>;; I'll just.. um, slip this right here... --MMORPG background My first ever MMO was WoW, and I've sort of played the gambit of MMO hopping between that, Aion, TERA, Guild Wars 2, SW:ToR, and Wildstar.. yeah, just all over the board. --RP experience I've a few years, but absolutely none of that really helps in a game where you know absolutely next to no lore, so that's definitely one of my main focuses, pretty sure XIV's lore is flailing cause there's all these tabs up lol --Character ideas/info As previously stated, my main focus is going to be based around Heavensward's new race, the Au Ra, and the new class. There's a lot of speculation, but my take on the class and the lore they gave us might have gone differently than what most think of it. Either way, my fellow is definitely of the Xaelan clan. Mainly because they're actually adventurous, rather than just all 'We shall hide with ours, and only act if we are threatened', it's a take it to them and wander. Gonna have to look around more, but I am already in love with tribes/clans that enjoy conflict --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Preferably medium to heavy, but mainly medium. I'm interested in seeing DRK all the way to endgame, and since my original choice was MNK, and that got me locked into the whole 'We only need one melee', it quickly turned me off content. I'm definitely open to ideas and the like, and interactions be they IC or over the forums. Cheers~

Still trying to figure out how to wrap my head around an introduction, especially considering this is a world where my experience in roleplaying is only in FFX as Guardian to another Summoner that had next to no ties to the canon group of it. [Even if I did often fantasize about Lulu.] Ahem. So, you can call me X'nath, or something to that matter if you'd like. I originally played XIV when it released with A Realm Reborn at the behest of some friends. Afterwards when it became apparent things were not working out, got all the way to max level and I believe things started falling apart around the attempts for Garuda HM, and we wound up kind of going our separate ways. With Heavensward on the horizon, what interested me the most was the new tank class, and that is my goal for playing once more, as well as the Au Ra.. however, the gap between back then and now, leaves me terribly starved at lore, so I'm doing a lot of diving. I've kind of ghosted about for a week, nearly two, here, just reading up on conversations and one can only go so long before wanting to reveal one self. So, yeah I'm pretty positive this sounded better in my head but... here goes nothing. Haha
