  1. Fellow UK'er here! *salut in rp* My Roegadyn would love to meet you; she gets on well with pretty much anything and you can't have too many Thaumaturges on your side as an Adventurer. Feel free to drop me a line on Heathcliff Alfhart (She only goes by Heath) and we can go from there.
  2. A poster appears in the Carline Canopy, New Gridania at the Levemete's counter. Written in elegant penmanship it reads: "WANTED: One soul to accompany a venture to the the fabled Amdapor Keep, the individual should be capable of either supporting the parties members or a potent combatant. A fair cut of any treasure found and the guildleve's fee included. Speak with the Levemete for further information." Speaking with the Levemete's clerk you would be handed a small card featuring a picture of a armour clad individual striking down a large serpentine beast and given the following information: "The party is due to assemble before the local Levemete in Quarrymill later today, the client is looking for the group to recover several Amdapori relics and scriptures held within. A generous sum is to be paid for each item recovered." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to an IC Dungeon run on really short notice! My Roe and two others are set to venture into Amdapor on a guildleve and are seeking the fourth and final member of the group. The option of dps or healer is open and the event will be a hosted in Amdapor Keep (Normal) starting sometime between 2300 to 2359 UTC(+1) and going until... whenever! (PS: Thats about 3 hours time.) Any character who fits the bill is welcome to come along; its on a first come first served basis. Simply drop me a message on Heathcliff, or leave a post here! 3. This. I literally completed the transfer payment, got myself a glass of water and logged straight in.
  4. Server: Balmung Noble House Name: Dunant Pledging/Related/Serving to High House: House Durendaire Description: "A militarised household, known for its tradition of requiring its members to have served a minimum five years within the Ishgardian Military to claim full membership having passed the age of eighteen. The household is split into two branches under Dereniart Dunant and Levinth Dunant respectively. Not known to be exceptionally involved in matters of politics; House Dunant prides itself on its martial prowess and participation on the frontline where it invests considerable time and resources in return for generous allowances from its liege to sustain itself. Included Races: Wildwood Elezen Members: Dereniart Dunant (NPC) Ellia Dunant (NPC) Alueaux Dunant (PC) Levinth Dunant (PC) Footnotes: Alueaux heads up the Dereniart side of the family while Levinth leads the other giving two sides to approach. The Dereniart side of the family is known to be much more Xenophobic of the two; Lord Dereniart is rumoured to have fathered a large number of bastards which is a common point of gossip.
  5. As someone who recently took the plunge and moved their main character to Balmung I can say it was 100% worth it, initially it seems like a large cost just to play your character but the 24/7 access to roleplay has justified the costs already. The only downside for me is I lag like hell during dungeons/raids (I'm from the EU thought but this is by far the only downside I've found so far)
  6. My Femroe will certainly show up to compete! Gil reward for crushing melons with her thighs... how hard could it be?
  7. Alueaux would definitely show face. Despite being a gloomy dragoon he would be loathe to miss a celebration that involves drink, food and perhaps a bit of combat thrown in. (As a spectator of course.)
  8. Elezen surnames can be whatever you desire - there is no distinct rule on what the surname should encompass in contrast to the forename. While I have no experience of Gilgamesh, from reputation Balmung has the largest population of roleplayers so while roleplaying may not be rarer on Gilgamesh - there is most likely less players roleplaying. (Welcome by the way!)
  9. Technically Alueaux is always going back and forth anyway; so no excuse needed! I'm certain he'll be questioning others motives for being there however!
  10. Unfortunately I'll be occupied for the next few days with work however will try catch one (or all) when I'm next able to log on! Thanks for the responses so far!
  11. As evidenced in the first post this has my thumbs up, by having a more specific LS it opens the door to some more specific Ishgardian plots we could follow, without causing to much a stir with characters who may not be quite as comfortable IC with whats going on then the loyalists and allowing more 'In house' conflict as it were. Hopefully it provides an avenue for these more hardline characters to come together, enjoy some quality roleplay as Ishgardians - and not a minority amongst the open minded fellows/outsiders. Which when involving the church/inquisition and loyalists would lead to some rather explosive results. With Heavensward just round the corner also; it provides a central hub for Ishgardian's to fall into to be able to discuss topics and host events which typically outsiders/unbelievers would unlikely be privy or welcome too. I look forward to seeing who emerges from the woodwork!
  12. Alueaux will be throwing a considerable amount of criticism and distrust their way; despite everything saying they are no way related to Dragons/Dravanian's to an Ishgardian I doubt many will simply overlook the similarities between the two and draw a conclusion from that. Looking forward to some heated confrontations, especially in Coerthas/Ishgard and its outlying areas!
  13. Definitely a possibility! On his travels he can overhear a rumour and investigate, afterall no Ishgardian should tolerate a heretic even if they are outside the reach of the Holy See. I'll keep a nosey out for you! @Desu Nee Alueaux can frequently be found resting in the Observatorium inn, if Desu is about the two could always strike up a conversation; mind he does get considerably defensive about his beliefs! @Ryoko I'm already in the linkshell but thanks for linking it anyhow You might see me offering up forms of IC levequests in there occasionally!
  14. Terrible title aside; I've elected to stop lurking on the forums and actually register so hello to progress! A firm lover of everything Ishgard, the entire setting appeals to me way to much for my own good. (Thus a dragoon is my roleplaying main) You can expect to see me poking my nose into a fair few threads I imagine on those related topics. So hello all and see you all around on the forums/Ingame!
  15. Hello there! As the title suggests; Alueaux Dunant seeks new contacts (Ishgardian or not!) to interact with/run into. I'm new to Balmung and find myself lost in the snowy void of not knowing anyone so ehr... Alueaux Dunant: A middle aged Elezen, born and bred Ishgardian and a dedicated devotee to the cause. He has spent his entire adult life in Ishgard/Coerthas and only as times change is finding himself increasingly tasked to ventures beyond the snowy plains. With that in mind; be it a Free Company dedicated to the defense of Ishgard, or even a sporadic encounter in Ul'Dah I (And Alueaux) would be happy to meet you! He may be a little bemused at first but will certainly warm up to any encounters he comes across (Unless they're a heretic that is.) At current Alueaux finds himself traveling across Eorzea - so a good excuse as any to show up effectively anywhere on short notice. Some OC Details - -I'm a European player so timezones are towards the evenings UTC+1 (I shift work also so frequently disappear for 3-4 Days at a time as a forewarning! But the character is a dedicated roleplay one, so if I'm on I'm certainly IC!) -Pure roleplayer / Storyteller (I'm more then happy to weave a quick event out of thin air for characters to participate in and fairly experienced in this. So if you're bored shout!) Look forward to meeting you all, toodles o/
