I admit sometimes I consider replacing Sio with a Keeper or an Elezen. Q_Q But I'm afraid of the angry mobs.

Thanks! Getting better every day! (On a COMPLETELY unrelated note, I sometimes draw other characters on my own, though I ask permission before posting.) O: Well, if you ever draw Sio you have my preemptive permission.

I've been wanting to draw Sio, anyway. <3 Is the scar on her cheek? Horizontal, vertical, diagonal? Thank you. c: I'm hoping so <3 Vertical, ma'am! -

WANT! Argh! Reference pic forthcoming!! She now has a scar on her right (looking at her, it's the left) side of her face. -
Characters in media that influence/are similar to your character!
YesGood replied to Orlog's topic in RP Discussion
While I didn't have much by way of influence by any particular character for Siobhain when I made her, I did find two anime characters who remind me a bit of her. Olivier Mira Armstong and Teresa from Claymore She's somewhere in between both of them with a slightly more masculine personality and some awkward tendencies now and then. Altogether, I built Siobhain based on what I hadn't gotten to RP yet-- a dedicated, religious, strong, Paladin-style character. She's a fighter, which isn't new to me, but she's a fighter with a strong moral code. She's forthright and sometimes abrasive and rather than treating smaller people as 'weak' the way some of my old characters did, she has a steadfast desire to protect them. I tried to make her a white knight of sorts, and I'm pretty happy with the result. Maybe there's another character out there who is similar to her but I did incorporate a lot of the Blackguard mentalities from the Lightbringer Series by Brent Weeks into her mentality. -
Siobhain? "I'm the fucking turtle bear!" - Kip I actually kind of always imagine that Sio is some kind of large female cat. Particularly a tiger. Weird, right? I think it's the nose... Bengal, maybe. Edit: After reading Cui's post, it occurs to me that Sio also resembles the Chinese Zodiac's tiger. "Born leader" is the key word for the Tigers. They are always in the lead and are most likely the ones to cry out "Let's Go"! Noble and Fearless, Tigers are respected for their courage, even from those working against them. Tiger people are daring fighters, they are capable of standing up to the better end for what they think is right. Although they could be selfish from time to time in the little things, they are capable of great generosity. Tigers are unpredictable, always tense. and like to be in a hurry. Tiger people are difficult to resist, for they are magnetic characters and their natural air of authority confers a certain prestige on them. They are tempestuous yet calm, warm-hearted yet fearsome, courageous in the face of danger yet yielding and soft in mysterious, unexpected places.

It happened cawz u awsum. In all honestly, I'm glad I found you guys. It's opened up a lot of great RP and a good part of my day is spent looking forward to logging in and spending time with you fine individuals. It's a much needed reprieve from the stresses of class work and all that good stuff. Keep it up =) And likewise if I'm needed for anything, don't hesitate to ask. <3 <3 <3 Val, you are one of my absolute favorite people. And one of our first members! Q_Q One of the greatest things about this LS is the variety of different, awesome RPers I might never have met if I didn't suck it up and at least give it a shot. Hurray for courage! Hurray for you beating me up too. Val's killing strikes 2 Sio's neck 0.

UPDATED: Fystrael is our standing champion for Wednesday~! Also to note: A'khenna Khai is currently having some subscription issues and will not be able to work as our primary recruiter for a little while. During this time, please continue to contact Siobhain Surtsthalwyn, Khyros Oroban, or any of our LS overseers. Our Free Company is still open to new members via RP recruitment. We may actually offer some of the RP we'll be doing in the future (story-development as opposed to simply tournament/sparring situations) to our LS members. If you're interested in what that may entail, please contact me via PM or Skype. Looking forward to a potential job with Mr. Meat. <3 And finally, we're somehow up to 53 members. H-how does this even happen?! *joy* I hope I can continue to provide events and RP for all of you. If ever you get that hankering for combat, please don't hesitate to give a shout in the shell and see who might be around.

Dat was greeeeeaaaat~! Fystrael is the standing champion. Siob took her place. It was ossim and all of you missed it.

I'm so sorry. Q_Q There's a lot of text, I'll admit. Sometimes even I get lost. But. I'm a stallion. <3

So sorry, X, sweetheart! If you join the Shell, it might help you out! We hold these every Wednesday and Saturday. On the semi-finals now.

My little man has just gone to sleep and his fever is reduced. It'll take a couple minutes before I can go back into my room with my computer but I'll be on soon.
-
Dis is troof.

I'm gonna be on closer to 10 pm EST when the event starts, sadly. Baby with fever are baby with fever. Thus far, still no real count on how many competitors there might be. Q_Q Why is always like dis?!

Wheee! I like screenshots. I'd really like to take more. You can probably hear all the ladies swooning. And some of the men.

We love spectators! Honestly, the side RP, to me, is just as fun to watch as the fights themselves. And the fights themselves, especially when gambling comes into play, can just add more conversation topics to the side RP. Thus far, I've yet to see any of our tourney competitors complain that the side RP is too distracting for them. They've done marvelously to date and I absolutely adore them for it. I think it really helps give them a bit of practice conducting RP in a large group, and I hope they feel that way as well.

We can go the route of /roll combat if you'd like! I'm sure Fen could take Sio, and I'm open to it happening although admittedly... Yarr. I have only recently gotten over this feeling that Sio should lose pretty often. Don't want her to win all the time but it occurs to me, as I've said before, that losing all the time doesn't look too good either, amirite? So I would feel comfortable letting it down to rolls and so long as she doesn't get stabbed in the neck a third time, I'm sure Fen'll be good to go. She always does her worst amount of damage on the verge of death. To clarify for everyone, we need at least four willing participants to hold the event. Goes thusly: Fystrael v Player 1 Player 1 v Player 3 Player 1 v 2 | Player 3 v 4 Not to say Player 1 and 3 will win, but for example's sake. So the same can be done with any even number of entrants, maybe even an odd number though it can become slightly more difficult as one person won't have to fight on the lowest tier. Healers and spectators as always are welcome. Gambling is accepted and THIS time, if you feel like putting gil on fights, I'll make sure it all gets collected and distributed properly per fight. May need one of our lovable, trustworthy members who has a character on top of things like this to help out as I will have to keep Sio's eye on the fight. Possibly Khyros?

So it's that day again! The Grindstone Tournament will be held, as usual, at the bridge in Central Thanalan beside Fesca's Wash at 10 pm EST. The entrance fee will be 100 gil per head in order to enter and donations if you're feeling generous. If you intend to -enter- the tournament tonight, please mention as much in this thread. I would like to get a vague idea of who might be coming~ Our current champion is Fystrael Abylstyrwyn.

I Have Made A Terrible Mistake: When to Just Reroll
YesGood replied to K'dath's topic in RP Discussion
There's no reason not to maintain characters on both servers. Even with an entry level account you can have a total of 8 characters, one per server. I'd advocate trying both out, but I wouldn't let the fact that Balmung appears more populous sway your opinion. You really can't go wrong between the two. THEN AGAIN I am on Balmung. As if that weren't reason enough, right? I actually maintain characters on Balmung, Gilgamesh, and Odin and play them all relatively equally. Ahaha, you don't have to talk to me about re-rolling in WoW. I've trashed things that are level 88 because "Nah, I'm bored with this character concept." But I've DONE all the WoW content before. It is done. It is completed, 100%. I can run a new character 1-90 in less than a week if I so chose, and I have, with the same sort of auto-pilot function I use to drive to the sandwich shop. I just sorta blink and it's done :b I've only ever purchased one race change, because the character himself had some rare, difficult to obtain items. This was a decision I almost immediately regretted and every time I log onto him think "That was stupid. I could have just made a different one." Lmao. I leveled a Night Elf rogue to 90... complete with full skinning and LWing (which is a biotch.) Then I decided that I didn't want to RP on the Alliance side anymore. Leveled a Belf Rogue. I got that 1-cap pretty decently too, I think. -
Da's true, but she seeeemed so boooooored. Poor Lost.

Too bad my FC isn't really in line wif joo character. Our days are Wednesday and Saturday, both after 10 EST.
