A final quick update, The device has been received in working condition and configured with Half-life 2 among a few other games. I'll also be streaming the occasional bit at http://www.twitch.tv/Quarimar though it'll look wonky with the screen split for most people. If you hop onto the mumble I update their as I work.

WAHAHA my mental was almost right. didn't know google translate could speak, its pronunciation of my own in French is pretty accurate except for the last name.

Dude. Felix? That is an awesome name. I'm not sure how well any of it follows Hyur naming conventions, but both names seem plenty Hyurish to me! 10/10 A'eyshn Demiir, my Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te. She was originally just "Aysun," but about a month after launch I began to notice all the Seekers had apostrophes in their names, so I made up a Seekerish name for her, and made it hard to pronounce correctly, thus she goes by Aysun. This seems to be a common thing for Miqo'te these days, but back then no one else did it at least.. ^^ Aysun is actually a Turkish name, as is Demir, if you're wondering where I yoinked that from. I think your first name fits a Seeker, would I be correct in thinking it was Eh-shun in pronunciation? Demiir seems a bit odd for the catfolk (or is the dual ii drawn out Deh-mi-ir? as in "mi" from mirror but more drawn?) so over all 7~? it was my understanding that they largely used "raspier" sounds. Nope! That's why she goes by Aysun, because that's how it's supposed to be pronounced! Aye-soon (with the lil miqo'te hiss h thing of course). Surname is just Deh-meer. Seeker females take their surname from their father's forename, which are usually short, one or two syllables, so I got lucky that it could be fenangled into a forename if needed. Thanks for the rating~ AH thanks for the clarification, just as a note, I think (due to dialect difference) my Eh (mentally) sounds like you Aye, unless your place more emphasis on the e. The "soon" is still more fitting. so the "meer" is more the "mer" from "merit"? I greatly enjoy linguistics, so thanks for the time to break it down.

I use the full name Quaraunt Imarin Baenund (Ku-waar-aun EE-maar-inn BAY-nn.OOn-duh The full stop in his last name being a short pause) Pulled from a mixture of French folklore and Ilythiiri.

Yes I recommend anyone interested in purchasing to wait until the 2014 commercial edition that will support higher resolution (Devkit: 1280×800 (640×800 per eye), Consumer version: ≥1920×1080) for purchase. As well as having a more user friendly set up experience. It's always been a passion of mine to promote interactivity in the gaming/computer environment so i'm glad to have this chance to offer others to join in on the fun without the risk of buyers remorse.

Goooood evening/afternoon/morning Tolka, welcome to the community! you'll find a by and large friendly group of people willing to talk about pretty much anything. If your looking for something to do to learn a bit more, I can't recommend browsing the wiki, the gallery and the linkshell directory enough. Also poke around the forums if you have the chance. Either way, hope to see you around, feel free to ask any questions you have in the mean time. Best of luck,
-
Greetings! I'd suggest reading through the listed "important Threads" at http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=10 to get your bearings, i'd also recommend hoping into the wiki and linkshell directory, don't need to pull up a chair and read through it all but getting familiar with whats where can help down the line. Feel free to ask questions make comments and the like if anything is confusing or if you'd like input. With that out of the way, I also have had a bit of a down time since my last major MMO, aside from jumping around through various Beta trials and the like I haven't committed a major amount of time since I (also) left WoW during the first few months of Cataclysm. If you have the time, feel free to bug some one to get invited to the Skype channel the source of much shenanigans. While I won't be rolling a Roegadyn myself, I do find you folk rather invigorating by and large, hope to see you in Eorzea!

Oooh that is a good one, While I didn't mind the name alterations as much (Teta to Teitra for example.) I don't think "Tis your birth and faith that wrong you, not I" has as much Oomph as "Blame yourself, or God." Though the rest is quite good, and I may be speaking with a hint of nostalgia goggles. Also, heck yeah Dark Knight OP, I tried to throw it in with Geomancer skills.
-
I can't recommend it highly enough, while the entire RPC is pretty much open to providing information, having some one you know can act as a sound board for any hair brained ideas in invaluable. I have my own IRL and its caused me to rethink some of my more whimsical ideas (for better and worse.) If nothing else try hoping into the Skype and poking around there, its been known to help break down the jitters.

Greetings! Here are the Crabs that i've encountered in game I like the classy with the simple background myself, though I would rotate him to face right.
-
Greetings, and welcome to the RPC A note on the artwork, i'd suggest checking out http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/forumdisplay.php?fid=11 https://artistsnclients.com/ now with that out to the side, again welcome! Mentor-ship is an interesting role, but the one being Mentored perhaps even more so, while it is a good idea to get the wiki rolling, I think you should also (if you feel comfortable) take the time to peruse the wiki, join the skype chat and just generally poke around for a while. There's a lot of information out there to pull from! But don't feel afraid of asking questions silly or otherwise, by and large we're here to help. With that said, while I have not registered as a Mentor myself, I feel confident in saying that you're free to ask any questions, raise any concerns or make any comments you'd like. PM, forum post or skype chat are all open for discussion. Best of luck to you and hope to see you in Eorzea!

Double post I know, but BAH HUMBUG, so here's a quick little write up after taking the time to reflect on your own post, I didn't touch on a few key aspects but I put my own questions below. To be honest, I'm not that familiar with Hyuran lore so I can't say for certain, but I don't think they would necessarily look down on you for being of mixed blood. For the Elezen on the other hand, I think it would be more of a "pity" for some one who doesn't fully fit in. (Particularly if you we're a Duskwight mixture and if it is physically evident.) Breaking away from the Garlean empire I imagine is quite the event, (particularly since its been shown through some quests that common Garlean soldiers are brain washed to a certain extent.). Have you thought about expanding on the escape with Ginner and Gizmo? Perhaps they were airship workers or some kind of role allowing them to operate somewhat independently and promote your escape? The implications of them being outsiders opens up the avenue to a myriad of potential endings to that route. A few follow up questions, Have you had the chance to peruse the wiki much? There's an ongoing fleshing out of information there which I think may help provide more context to the Garlean empire for you to pull from, as well, if you search "Garlean citizenship" you should be able to find the listing of other characters who have like you fled the Empire and their stories might provide some brain food for your own. Have you had the chance to play in the Beta yet to roll an appearance for your character? The physical attributes (at least for me) can determine how much exposure/flak your character gets as a "half" Was there any particular area you were looking for critique over all? Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns, Hope this helps and Best of luck in Eorzea.

I totally spaced and forgot to throw mine up here: 5172-0376-7422

I'll update again when i've had the chance to digest and reflect upon the information you provided. But may I suggest in the interval outlining what Hyur and what Elezen clans you are part of? Duskwights/Wildwoods in particular have some differences that could tweak how outsiders view you. Edit: Also the spoiler tags are [*spoiler]Text here[*/spoiler] except without the "*"s

Greetings! Welcome to the RPC, please feel free to ask any questions, voice any concerns and make any comments. If you have the time feel free to peruse the Wiki, browse the gallery or just hop right into the forums and get to know everyone! best of luck and hope to see you in Eorzea.

Haha, no kidding, I think its amazing myself, Hoping I can provide a Demo for everyone still on the fence.

I followed up my initial comment with another person I was speaking with pointing out that the trend had appeared in the other tactics games as well, where the red horn appeared as opposed to the beige/ and green of 3 and 5.
-
Not that the horn and general colour scheme appeared in FFs III and V as well. Nope. Admittedly if we wanted to be terribly pedantic we could point to the tradition of Robe wearing among Spellcasters all the way back to Call of Cthulu and various other MUD/Rogue likes. My comment was more to the point of the Tactics games (and all other FF's) having an influence in art style. We can continue to trade antiquated reference material if you'd like though.
-
FF Tactics Advance, it's in the game! Yay for awesome looking summoner gear and the nod towards my favourite handheld game ever! FFtactics, Tactics advance, and Tactics Advance2 all have it on their summoners, I like the Original Tactics a bit more than the Gameboy versions (mostly due to mod-ability) But yeah the summoners horn is nice to see.
-
One need not know why they love, just that they do. (also FF Tactics looking Gear For the Win)
-
Hello Desmond Here's a link to the official summoner page showing the mini-ifrit that you'll have access to http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/game/jobs/summoner here's another screen shot of the Arcanist/Summoner/Scholar companions http://www.finalfantasy-fxn.net/images/media/51ba794c_Final-Fantasy_XIV_Realm_Reborn_Summoner_Scholar_Arcanist_01.jpg A note about those screen shots, those feature datamined bosses, The Primal Siren, the Demon wall, the great beast Behemoth. Hope that clears up any miss understanding!

Welcome to the RPC, Feel free to ask any questions, peruse the wiki, the gallery or hop right into the forum for some shenanigans. If you don't mind me asking, have you tried running the official benchmark on the computer you intend to play off of? (Benchmark Link) hope to see you in Eorzea!
