To the fellow speech-makers: Since I snagged the last spot on the list, it might behoove the lot of us to coordinate/discuss our speeches so we don't all talk on the same subject(s). I have yet to write mine, but if yours are already written, I'd love to get a brief synopsis so I can plan mine accordingly.

I'll look for you the next time I'm logged in! We're a small group (roughly 10 active members at present, but slowly growing!) but we enjoy helping each other in-game and just supporting each other through whatever life throws our way. You're welcome to join our OOC linkshell and, once applications open up again (which should be in about a week), you can apply if you feel our little community is right for you. In the meantime, I invite you to join us at our open roleplay night in Revenant's Toll on Thursday evenings (except December 8th when I host the Gridania Story-Go-Round -- but you're welcome to join in on that, too!) We drop a lot of storyline plot seeds on things we're currently working on, as well as catching up on any news from our allied Free Companies when they visit. I look forward to hanging out with you, so I'll see you in-game! -
The Chroniclers <CH-RP>
Syranelle Ironleaf replied to Syranelle Ironleaf's topic in (Antiquated) Free Company Hall
Several varied issues were touched on when The Chroniclers gathered again this week. Further clues into the Garlean activity and the theft of a shipment of rare alloy were discussed, including a sketch of an Aetherkey that might be enough to buy them some time to ferret out the shipment's location. It was discovered that one of their own, Zhan'a Rakhin, now had Wanted posters up for his capture in Gridania, claiming he kidnapped a young girl. It tied in to their on-going investigation of a mysterious cult that was kidnapping orphans from all the city-states and converting them to their will. Lastly, they discussed the matter of the artifact they'd obtained, The Crown of Wishes. All that remained was to find an adamantoise to test it on... An adamantoise?! Yes, an adamantoise. The Crown of Wishes was a rare relic that only granted the heartfelt wishes of tiny turtles. Most of whom want to fly. Go figure. -

Syranelle Ironleaf replied to Lorie Bluteau's topic in Chronicled Connections
Hey there, Lorie! The Chroniclers are a small, close-knit group of roleplayers and gamers. Our typical hours of operation are 7pm Eastern to Midnight, Monday to Friday, weekend hours can fluctuate, depending on how late people stay up. We already have a couple of folks who are part of the "in bed by 9pm" crowd, so you wouldn't be alone in that regard. We're all working or school-going adults, so we completely understand how Life is. While we do use Discord, we use the chat side of the program far more than the voice. Voice is and always will be *optional* for us, since we know and understand people either have technological impairments that prevent them from using it or they have personal reasons for not wanting to use it. Listening in but typing responses is also acceptable. Whatever you're most comfortable with. If you're interested, we maintain an OOC linkshell for our friends and fellow roleplayers where we shoot the breeze, coordinate RP, and get PVE groups together. I'd be happy to invite you whenever we're online at the same time. -

Season's Greetings, fellow Eorzeans! As this year's Starlight Celebration nears, we here at the Chroniclers would like to bring together our fellows and offer a different kind of gift exchange: roleplay. The Secret Scenario Santa event is intended to help facilitate roleplay between Free Companies and individuals, drawing people in our community together for some fun and finding new connections. How to Play We have a handy-dandy sign-up form through Google Docs. Free Companies and Individuals are welcome to sign up to participate, but we'll be separating them into two different drawings; one for Free Companies to participate with each other and one for Individuals. Each entrant will submit their name, a contact point (if a Free Company), and a plothook -- a scenario or theme by which to get involved with them. Plothooks can be serious or silly, mundane or extraordinary. It's up to you! Entries will be taken until December 17th @ 7pm, an hour before we start drawing. Names will be drawn in the order they were submitted and each player will /random. Whatever number you're closest to will be your intended roleplay partner, which will then be provided to you via Private Message in-game. If you cannot be present on the day names are drawn, then whatever names are left over after those present have gone will be given out in the order in which they remain. If you wish to withdraw your participation, please contact either Syranelle Ironleaf or Zhan'a Rakhin and let us know so we can adjust the roster. Rules 1.) One entry per person/Free Company. Duplicate entries will be removed. 2.) Plothooks can be serious or silly, whatever fits the theme/purpose of your character/Company. 3.) Please keep all plothooks PG/PG-13; no mature/adult themes to keep the event accessible to everyone. 4.) No re-draws! If you don't like/want who you've drawn, you do not get an immediate re-draw. You will be moved to last in line and get choose again then. 5.) The Chroniclers will not be held responsible for the quality/kind of RP you arrange as a result of this event. However, do let us know if someone doesn't provide you with RP at all. That goes against the very nature of this event. We'll do our best to provide something, if another individual/group fails to. 6.) Alts are welcome to participate! FAQ Q: How long/short should my plothook be? A: As long you need it to be to get your point across. I advise keeping plothooks short, since I'll have to convey them to participants. Here's a sample of mine: You find one of Syranelle's books at the Carline Canopy. It has a bunch of history and relic research about Gelmorra. You should probably return it to her. Q: Can I make separate entries for myself, my Free Company or my Linkshell? A: Yup! As long as you aren't making multiple entries for the same individual/group, as long as we have someone to contact to let you know who you've drawn, it's all good! Q: I won't be there the night of the drawing. Can I still participate? A: Of course! Attendance to the night of the drawing is not mandatory for participation, it's just an added level to the fun. Those unable to attend will have their names drawn randomly by me and I'll contact you either by Private Message here on the RPC or in-game to let you know who you have. Zhan'a Rakhin, Alexander Steelstrike, and R'Tahira Ohan did some investigating around Black Brush Station, where they discovered that the Scintillant Ingots were being produced there and then shipped en masse to Idyllshire. At least three wagonloads of the stuff had been sent just the week prior. From Mutamix Bubblypots, they also discovered that large quantities of Demicrystals had been ordered by Hismena of the House of Splendors. It was explained to them that this rare material augmented the aetherial properties of armor and weapons, making it so that even those with little to no aetherial skill could use the enhanced powers of whatever the demicrystals were built into. Just what was going on here...? -

The Chroniclers gathered this week to find the waif, Ellisorielle Black, on their doorstep and looking for refuge from those who intend her harm. They discussed at length the various clues they'd discovered about the cultist group, but came to no concrete plans. Accommodations were arranged for the frightened young girl and efforts began to ensure her safety. It was only a matter of time before someone came looking... -
The biggest "enemy" of busy people is time itself. We all play this game to have fun and decompress from spending the day in Real Life. Sometimes we log on to RP, other times we just want to PVE or craft, just have some time to ourselves to rest and recharge without having to put in a whole lot of social time. Most people have jobs or school or families that need them, so that means they have a limited number of hours to play in a given session. That oftentimes means that they book that time in advance to do things." I'm going to do stuff for my Anima on Tuesday after the reset. Oh, I have that RP event on X-day that I've been wanting to go to. I'd like to get my X-craft to 60 so I can make XYZ-thing. All of these take time, some more than others; roleplay takes up more time than anything else, since sessions can go from just one hour to omgwhatamistilldoinghere marathon sessions. It's also why people tend to be hesitant to "overbook" themselves, as it were. I usually think of it in these terms: Prime Time RP hours are between 6pm Eastern and midnight. An 'average' RP session (for me, at least) is two hours, therefore, I never ask for or expect RP after 10pm, because that would go over my idealized 'operating hours' for roleplay. If someone says no or says they're otherwise engaged, people shouldn't take that to mean "I never want to do anything with you, ever," which is half the problem. The other half of the problem is that people don't make an effort to connect, even when their answer is no. How to combat the "Dreaded No's" If you are the one being asked: Don't just say "no" when someone inquires, say something more along the lines of, "I'm currently occupied with XYZ at the moment, but if you'd like to RP then I'd be more than happy to!" As someone who gets asked a lot, I keep a personal calendar of RP invitations I'm given and I schedule things accordingly. I also make sure to keep appointments that I make. Nothing puts people off more than cancellations, because they're basically blocking off some of that precious time commodity specifically for you. Especially make it a point to reschedule if you know for sure you're going to miss a session. Don't neglect to tell someone you aren't going to be around (even if you just leave a note by Moogle Mail, by PM, or word-of-mouth through friends) -- barring Real Life emergencies, of course. Scheduling a session, then failing to show up without an explanation basically shows your potential partner that their time is not important to you, which makes them less inclined to be so generous with it later. If you are the one asking: If the answer is "no" then ask for a different day/time to do the thing you want to do. "Oh, okay, if you're busy tonight, how about we do XYZ on ?" Have a plan. If you're the one asking, you should have something in mind for the scene. "Slice-of-life" let's sit around and idle-chat is all well and good, but it gets stale pretty quickly if that's all you ever have to offer. A plan doesn't have to be elaborate, it just has to be something different and engaging. Don't get discouraged. Just because the answer is "no" today doesn't mean that it will be the same tomorrow. Even if the answer is no seven times in a row, there will come a time that the answer will be yes. Diversify! If you find that the answer is no a lot within your present circle of friends, try branching out and going to events, meeting new people, and diversifying your circle some. Time is a finite resource for everyone and we have to share that, respect it, and take care of it. Not just on our own end, but for everyone in our circle that we're involved with.

Welcome to Balmung! Be sure to check out the Free Company Hall or the Linkshell Hall to find Free Companies and public groups that may suit your character. You're welcome to add me to your friends list; I'm a fairly busy person, both in-game and out, but I'm always happy to schedule/arrange a day to roleplay with folks! You're also welcome to come out to my Free Company's open roleplay evening Nights on the Toll, which happens every Thursday that I'm not hosting the Gridania Story-Go-Round.

Welcome to the RPC! Gilgamesh RP has their own website away from the RPC that might be worth checking out before you decide on a new home. Jenova RP is small but growing, if you like helping a community build from the ground up. If you're just looking for a place that already seethes with RP, then Balmung is your best bet. (I only play on Balmung, so I might be biased... ) Be sure to check out the Free Company Hall or the Linkshell Hall to find Free Companies and public groups that may suit your character. They can be searched/separated by server, in case you want to see what groups are located on your target servers. For lore questions, be sure to check out Sounsyy's Lore Compilations; she's done an amazing job with compiling a lot of the game lore into easy-to-find threads! All that said, I hope you find what you're looking for!

Hey there and welcome to Balmung, Deahfel! On running Storylines... For on-going Storylines, I break mine up into chapters and I give each chapter a three-month window. The purpose behind this is two-fold: 1.) It gives me an opportunity to take a break between chapters and let others host events during my downtime. This prevents GM burn-out and ensures that you aren't the only one stuck with the duty of hosting all the time. 2.) I've found that anything longer than three months tends to start to weary people in the wrong way. "When is this storyline going to end?" -- "God, this thing has been going on for six months!" Allow people to resolve a problem so there's a sense of completion and it doesn't feel like the story is just dragging on unnecessarily. Storylines also need to have a purpose besides just providing a RP outlet. There should be a goal that everyone is working toward, there should be rewards for completion and detriments for failure. Take into consideration the character(s) that are involved and tailor experiences toward both their strengths and their weaknesses. Storylines should always provide opportunities for character growth and have a lasting impact beyond, "Oh, it's just this thing we did this one time." On Roleplaying in the Field... I love to use the world environment and old dungeon content as set-dressing for roleplay. Make sure you know the world! So make sure you explore often, poke around with FATES, and really get to know the world of Eorzea from an in-game perspective. You'll come to know what FATEs, dungeons, or world environments suit a roleplay scenario. (Or what areas may have interference because of FATEs, Sightseeing Log locations, or Questing interruptions -- Not that it's ever happened to me...! >_>U) More often than not, I use dungeons as placeholders for other locations. Like we used Amdapor Keep in one roleplay event that I hosted, but it was a different part of the city/keep than was in-game. This is to prevent you from treading on established lore and forcing your canon on anyone else. Some advice I read once: Blow up a tree, but don't blow up the moon. Change little things that don't really affect anybody, but don't change something that can affect everyone.

Looking to transfer to Balmung!
Syranelle Ironleaf replied to Yunas13's topic in Chronicled Connections
Welcome to Balmung! What kind of RP are you interested in? The best place to start is with the Balmung RP Calendar and finding a few events that angle toward the kind of RP you're interested in. Then you can start looking at other character profiles once you've found a few characters or personalities you'd like to meet. While you're window shopping, be sure to check out the Free Company Hall or the Linkshell Hall to find Free Companies and public groups that may suit your character. For lore questions, be sure to check out Sounsyy's Lore Compilations; she's done an amazing job with compiling a lot of the game lore into easy-to-find threads! The first and foremost advice I give to any kind of group leader: Lead by example. If you want your members doing things a certain way and acting a certain way, then you need to embody that for yourself first. Don't have any expectation for your members that you are not first prepared to expect of yourself (and your officers.) "We want to RP more outside the FC." Start roleplaying with others, coordinating with other Free Companies, or actively looking for other things that folks are offering to participate in. As nice as FC houses are make it a point to get OFF that little square of property and out into the world where people can see and encounter you and your people. "We want to be less cliquish." Make an effort to roleplay with others outside your usual circle, participate in things other people have up for grabs. Chime in on conversations, forum threads, or idea/event planning beyond your usual social circle. A group is only as inclusive/exclusive as it makes itself. "We want more Storylines." Make something small at first, see how that goes. Build on it, let other people contribute to it, add on some more, until it becomes something bigger. Good storylines don't just appear out of thin air, it's often built on several smaller encounters that lead up to something larger. Be the changes you want to see reflected in your Free Company. If the leader of the group isn't willing to put in the work to make the place great, then why would you ever have that expectation of your members?

The Chroniclers <CH-RP>
Syranelle Ironleaf replied to Syranelle Ironleaf's topic in (Antiquated) Free Company Hall
We had a great time this week with the SGR with a bevy of storytellers and our special Guest Host, Rheya Tayuun, who sent us on a whirlwind adventure with a squire and a dragon. We had people who were new to RP and familiar faces from the community, so it was great to see and have everyone along for such a fun ride! More photosets HERE and HERE -
A Squire's Test [19:09]Rheya Tayuun: "Once upon a time of old, there was a Knight of Ishgard. This noble knight was renowned for his courage and his faith and his skill at arms, but alas... not quite for his brains." [19:12]Rheya Tayuun: "So when word reached him of a fair princess kidnapped by an evil sorcerer and guarded by a fierce dragon? He did what any self-respecting knight of Ishgard would. Make the Perilous Journey up the sea-swept cliffs in a raging storm, with his squire clinging to his back. He dropped the squire off at the gates and burst in, roaring his mighty challenge! He found himself struck by lightning four times, and tossed off the cliff by the mighty sea dragon's wrath!" [19:14]Rheya Tayuun: "Thus, the lone squire found herself staring up at the BIGGEST dragon she'd ever seen, as it looked to her and spoke in a distinctly girlish voice. "Your master was bold, child... But for all his strength, he was nothing before my might and the sorcerer in the tower behind me is mightier still. What hope do YOU have of challenging him and winning the freedom of your maiden fair?" [19:17]Syranelle Ironleaf: "Faced with the fearsome visage of the dragon, her master all but pitched off the side of the cliff, the squire bent her will and wit against the aged wyrm. 'I'm sure that the maiden you have in that tower is getting a bit dated. Couldn't you use a new one? /I/ happen to be the purest of maidens and a champion lancer, to boot! Surely I'd make a finer prize than what you have in that tower at present.' The dragon stared at her for several long, tense moments...." [19:20]Syranelle Ironleaf: " 'Hrm. I /suppose/...' The dragon mused. 'We've had that girl up there for Gods only know how long.' " The squire only beamed at her scaly opponent, doing her best to bat her eyes coquettishly. 'You see? I'd make a much more tempting prize for any Knight that comes along. Isn't that sort of the point?' The dragon squinted an eye, peering down at the squire with something akin to suspicion. 'How do I know you're really worth all that?' " [19:23]Kada'to Jakkya: The squire matched her gaze with the dragon, keeping her smile sweet and her determination strong. A moment passed in silence before she spoke once more. "If you doubt me so much, great wyrm, then why not give me a test?" She then grinned with confidence. The dragon blinked slowly, then let out a slow, rumbling laugh. [19:27]Kada'to Jakkya: "You've actually managed to amuse me, tiny one. Very well, I shall give you once chance to prove yourself to me." His great head then lowered to her height, and the wyrm's mouth opened slightly, revealing razor sharp fangs. "But know that if you fail me, your fate shall be worse than your knight's." The squire nodded, "Name your trial." She spoke. [19:33]Nanamo Ul'namo: The great wyrm required only a moment's hesitation as she considered the possibilities, and after what seemed to be an eternity, growled her reply. "I but long for a treasure who can defend herself, and my master as well. Therefore shall my trial be one of combat." And though the young squire did not wince at this, rest assured her heart skipped several beats. [19:39]Nanamo Ul'namo: Still, she dared not falter, and spoke evenly. "I assume you mean to say I am to face you?" But an idea sprung to her mind. "If I may, might I suggest a different opponent? I should like to face your master instead - to show I can slay more foes than even he!" As I am sure you might imagine, twas a far-fetched idea, but perhaps one with some merit… [19:43]Iskander Farander: Slowly did the lezen man ascend the stairs. But when he stood he spoke in a raspy voice. Soft and scratchy like sand paper. He pushed it out, but it did not quite carry as well as he wished. "No." He uttered the dragon's line. "I would not sully my master with your presence. For if such skill be true, than you will surely be able to defeat myself and him." The dragon reared up, a deep seated chuckle boomed from his scaley chest. "Or art thou scared, little mouse?" A hefty flap of his wings [19:45]Iskander Farander: struck any hope of another trial from the squire's mind. She would have to face this dragon for her Knight, the maiden and herself. She stayed resilient though, atleast in visage. She would not balk, though the softest prayer to Halone was uttered from her lips. "Fine!" She called out watching the dragon ascend. "Hail fury... Mother of mercy..." Her words trailed out into the wind and crashing waves. She'd ready her spear and spirit. [19:49]K'weh Featherstroud: "Mercy be upon me, as all twelve winds are at my feet," she declared vehemently. So she would do battle with the lord that would proclaim himself master above all others. All the while his sire watched. The plight of mortals and their virtue, it was such a paltry thing, you see." K'weh flared his hands, the aether flowing from his grip to ignite a show of what it would be like to be just a humble squire at the mercy of such scales. [19:58]Rheya Tayuun: "The squire leapt forwards with a valiant yell, her oaken spear flashing. In response, the Dragon snarled out a command to the stormclouds above, and lightning slashed down. But! In her fury, the dragon made one simple mistake. It's much, much easier to strike a tall Elezen riding a chocobo wearing metal armor than it is to strike a small purple-haired girl who's wearing only a tunic and pants!" [20:02]Rheya Tayuun: "The thunder slammed into the squire with painful force, but she shrugged it off and continued her charge right up to between the Dragon's front legs. The Tower, on the other hand... The stones of the top balcony burst asunder and rained down, giving the Dragon a rather nasty headache! [20:04]Syranelle Ironleaf: "Reeling from the clout to the head, the dragon fell to its side trying to shake off the dizziness. As it lay there, the squire circled 'round toward its soft, thinly-scaled underbelly. Yet, as the squire prepared herself to strike, the unbelievable happened...! [20:05]Syranelle Ironleaf: " 'N-not dead yet...' came the raspy voice of her mentor and master, the aged Knight the dragon had knocked from the cliff. The old man struggled to climb the last bit of cliffside, yet it was clear he could not do so alone. The squire had a choice: defeat her foe... or save the mentor who had taught her all." [20:09]Kada'to Jakkya: "The squire gripped her spear tightly, and for a moment she was torn between duty and loyalty. She had only seconds to choose. She took a steady breath, then turned from her mentor, the man she had followed loyally all these years, and faced the dragon… [20:12]Kada'to Jakkya: "The squire raised her spear high, and threw it at the great wyrm. Her aim was true, and the point pierced deep into its belly. As the beast roared in pain, more stones crashed from above. With her opponent distracted, the squire turned towards the old knight and ran to help him up. She leaned over the edge of the cliff, offering the man her hand. "Take my hand!" She yelled out to him. The wyrm roared in fury this time as he began to regain his bearings. There was not much time left… [20:16]Iskander Farander: Once more the scratchy voiced Elezen ascended the stairs. Breathing a deep, grit filled sigh out. He began speaking once more. The knight had reached for his squire's hand. A grim smile on his face, for he knew that his time would likely come soon. In the chaos did he ascend the cliff face in full. Blood spattering upon his lips. "Thank you." He uttered. Generic words to fill the air as the beast finally readied itself a new. (Ike boomed his voice here, likely in a pained manner.) [20:19]Iskander Farander: "YOU WILL BE SMITTED." (Coughing ensues.) The beast roared, rearing up to stand on its hind legs. It's dark twisted aether willed the sea to its control, creating the sable price to begin conjuring about the pair's feet. But here the Knight did push the squire out allowing her to continue on. But as the walls of dark tainted water ascended, would she see the Knight's blade in the weathered, wilted grass. Bore of Halone's grace, the Knight's last parting gift. A blade of fury. A blade of light. [20:22]K'weh Featherstroud: Do not squander the gifts of those that lay before you. Make them your own. Achieve the brightest day that could be cast from this darkest night. "I do not yield!" She reminded this dragon of his challenge. The rite of which he had squandered all of his loot and glory. His presige and the grace of deaths he had claimed. "I will not yield!" Tenacious, even in the wake of her master's vigil. Noble. But trite. [20:24]K'weh Featherstroud: All great tales come to an end, those whom would be gathered here. The glory of a woman that would seek to dig her mettle against the masters. All things must end. All things return to whence they came. ...Not this story. You see it was. She was imbued with Halone herself. A Fury that could not be matched. A rite that only a sire can bequeath their inherit. Her master dreamt of only the world for her, and she dreamt only of the world for her lady. All the world fell in to place. [20:29]Rheya Tayuun: "The Dragon shook off the daze caused by the collapsing balcony as the evil sorcerer threw open the doors that led to his balcony in astonishment at the noise. The Squire grasped the blade that shone with Halone's Grace, and was granted a vision of the sorcerous chains that bound the Dragon to her evil master." [20:33]Rheya Tayuun: "The Dragon beat her powerful wings, causing the Squire to drop low and cling to the scrubby grass to not be blown off the cliff. As the Dragon dropped down and struck like a snake, the Squire leapt forwards! But instead of striking at the weak spot in the Dragon's scaly chest, the Squire pulled her humble spear free and cast it upwards at the evil Sorcerer instead!" [20:36]Syranelle Ironleaf: "Glittering with the holy light of Halone, the spear lanced the distance between the Squire and the Sorcerer, but even as it did the jaws of the beast threatened to close around the Squire as she fell. Her eyes closed and she prepared herself to be transcended to the arms of her Goddess. The dragon's breath was fetid and foul upon her face as she felt its mouth draw nearer, the rumble of its voice as it echoed in her ears..." [20:38]Syranelle Ironleaf: "Only to be silenced as her mentor came crashing down from overhead, smiting the dragon's head sideways. The old Knight and the dragon tumbled off into the snow on one side of the cliff, the Squire tumbled off to the other. Yet, she scrambled to her feet, looking heavensward to see her spear nearing its vulnerable target. Silently she prayed." [20:44]Kada'to Jakkya: "She closed her eyes for a moment in her prayer, exhaling slowly before she opened them again. Time seemed to slow down. The sorcerer raised his hands as he began to cast some sort of magic to protect himself. A dark light began to slowly coat his form as the spear crashed into him. For a moment, nothing happened. The point of the spear was but centimeters away from his flesh, but it would not move.” [20:47]Kada'to Jakkya: "The sorcerer's expression twisted into a cruel grin, and moved his hand to toss the weapon away. The squire looked down from below in shock from her opponent's display in magic. But as the sorcerer's fingers touched the shaft of her weapon, the spear began to glow a brilliant white, and with a burst of pure light, the shield of magic around him shattered, and her weapon finally found its mark. [20:51]K'weh Featherstroud: Godbert Hildebrand was the strongest and most elegant crafter in all the land. Always was and always will be, you see. In all his splendor and wisdom he had found the soul that could ignore the spark in a spear which had thus lain dormant until now. Now, as it throbbed loose the ichre of a scaleborn worship, he knew its place in the world. Not all things are given their design when the world was ripe for them. And not all purpose is fulfilled simply because duty calls. [20:54]K'weh Featherstroud: Folley had no place here. Failure would not yeidl them. For he had never smelted the metal in such a way. So proud was he, of the rose that had slain the thorn, that she was allowed to keep her... trophy. Let it bear the weight of eighty tonze of pride and blood. She had no will for it. No patience for the splendor that came with the smite. It was not in the way of her world. In the last fell cry of a great beast she waded, lost in the lust of her Fury and rightly so. [20:59]Rheya Tayuun: "The Sorcerer's evil magics were no match for the Fury's Light! Upon grasping the spear, the spells he so cunningly wove broke and lashed back upon him. The powers that were protecting him fled, and the Sorcerer took a staggering step forwards. Only to find that the ruined stones crumbled under his feet and he pitched forwards!" [21:06]Rheya Tayuun: "The Sorcerer plummeted to his doom, impaling himself on the spear. Upon his death, the spells binding the Dragon broke! Revealing that the Dragon was actually the fair Princess of the Sea!" [21:08]Syranelle Ironleaf: "The battle was ended. Snow fell and silence reigned for what seemed like aeons. The dragon -- no, the maiden now -- lay in the snow with the aged Knight. The two of them struggled to their feet and the Knight gallantly threw his cloak around her shoulders. 'It is done,' he said comfortingly. 'It is over.' Yet, the Princess of the Sea shook her head. 'Not yet...' " [21:11]Syranelle Ironleaf: The Princess approached the Squire, both of the girls looking at each other for a long moment. Finally, the Squire smiled, giving a shrug. 'Did I pass your test?' The Princess smiled in return. 'So many gallants would have slain the dragon without a second thought, but you chose instead to attack her captor. For that, I owe you my life. What reward can I offer you? Riches? Titles? Land? Tell me, my savior, what I can offer you." [21:20]Kada'to Jakkya: "The knight looked to the princess, and then the squire, and then began to laugh. Seeing this, the squire relaxed and turned her attention towards the princess, who awaited her reply patiently. "I- My lady. All I ask is but a simple kiss for luck. I have so much more to learn and many more adventures to take, so I do not wish to be tied down by lands or titles." At this, the princess smiled once more, then leaned in and pressed a single kiss to her cheek. || [21:20]Kada'to Jakkya: “I wish you all the luck in the world, hero. But when you have had your fill of adventures, know that I will welcome your return with open arms.” With that, the princess was taken back safe and sound to her home, and the squire and her knight set out to adventure once again.
