1. We're told that Special Pomvestigator Mogshu (from the very first SGR) will be making a special appearance in this month's story! Expect lots of laughs and mayhem to ensue!
2. Thank you again for being such a wonderful and generous soul, Rini. Your Giveaways are awesome!
3. Hey there and welcome to Balmung! To answer your questions: 1.) The community here on Balmung is pretty open-minded and tolerant, in general, so finding a Free Company that welcomes and accepts members of the transgender/LGBT persuasion aren't difficult to come by. Just do your research thoroughly on any group that interests you. I can't, off-hand, think of any LGBT-specific linkshells or Companies, but someone may be able t point you in the right direction. 2.) PVE activity is entirely dependent on the group/FC you join. I've seen hardcore raiding groups all the way down to groups that never do much in PVE. Most tend to strike some kind of balance between the two. That said, the best place to start is with the Balmung RP Calendar and finding a few events that angle toward the kind of RP you're interested in. Then you can start looking at other character profiles once you've found a few characters or personalities you'd like to meet. While you're window shopping, be sure to check out the Free Company Hall or the Linkshell Hall to find Free Companies and public groups that may suit your character. For lore questions, be sure to check out Sounsyy's Lore Compilations; she's done an amazing job with compiling a lot of the game lore into easy-to-find threads! You're welcome to add me to your friends list; I'm a fairly busy person, both in-game and out, but I'm always happy to schedule/arrange a day to roleplay with folks! You're also welcome to come out to my Free Company's open roleplay evening Nights on the Toll, which happens every Thursday that I'm not hosting the Gridania Story-Go-Round. All that said, I hope you find what you're looking for and hopefully I'll see you around in-game!

7. You guys are life-savers! <3 I'll Skype Faye now and see what I can do. I think I /might/ be able to craft the wallpaper...
8. You don't need to be present to participate! Anyone who isn't present at the time of drawing will be drawn by me after everyone else has drawn. I'll either contact you here or try to get in touch with you in-game. We'll make it work!
9. Emergency Relocation Another event has scheduled their activity in Mih Khetto's Amphitheater for this Thursday. In an effort to be accommodating and share the real estate, the Gridania Story-Go-Round needs to move for this month. If you have a large Free Company venue/house decorated for the Starlight holiday and would be willing to take on a large crowd (typically 20-30 people on a good night) on short notice, please reply below!
10. "I love to roleplay with new people!" "I need to make some new friends." "I want to get involved in more things!" If this is you, then there's absolutely NO reason you shouldn't be signing up for the Roleplay Exchange! How easy is this? You sign up, we give you a name and a way to approach them, and bam! All that's left is to find your quarry and roleplay with them! We take the "hard part" out of initiating roleplay with someone new. What do you really have to lose? Join in the fun today!
11. Our recruitment status is now open again with 2 available application spots! If you're interested, please stop by our website to apply http://thechroniclers.enjin.com
12. First and foremost, thank you to Kale Aideron for setting all of this up and allowing me to speak. It was a wonderful opportunity that I'm glad I got to be a part of, both IC and OOC. Ishgard and its people (especially one, in particular) are near and dear to Syranelle's heart these days, so it was something that meant a lot to her to be part of. Secondly, thank you to all the performers, speakers, and folks that helped with organization. Great participants make or break an event at times, but you all did an outstanding job! And lastly, thank you to everyone who attended! It was great to see such a large turn-out and I hope it brought closure for your characters for this expansion.
13. It was my honor to speak before such a grand assembly on behalf of The Chroniclers and so many others! Big thanks go out to Kale Aideron for putting this together and being such an excellent host. Kudos go out to all the performers and speakers, including that rabble-rousing Doctor Ozerov! 14. Are you skilled with unarmed combat / self-defense? Are you able to teach a class of the same once a moon? Then I may have something to offer you, please inquire by Moogle Mail (( Private Message, here or in-game )) and I'll outline what I have in mind. You are also welcome to come by our weekly gathering at Revenant's Toll, any (( Thursday )) around eight bells (( Eastern )) -- except this upcoming week (( December 8th )).

16. I'm all for things that let friends play with friends. Having played through the MSQ three times now, I can completely understand not wanting to go through all that headache and new players potentially getting discouraged when all they want to do is hang out with their friends and have fun. The game can be taught, even at end-game, a lot of people just don't care to. They expect people to inherently know how to play a game they've been playing for years. If I'm signing on to a monthly sub to play friends, I'd certainly hope my friends cared enough to at least help me get acclimated to the game and playing decently. That said, there will always be "bad" players and people who don't know how to play the game. Always. You're never going to get around it, so why punish good people who just want to come and have fun with their friends, same as you, on the misconception that anyone who "jumps" is automatically someone who will be terrible at the game. It's this kind of mentality that's slowly pervading gaming communities and making them the "toxic" places people have come to know and love. "You aren't as good at this game as I am, even though I've been playing for years, so that automatically means you suck." Just let people play together and have fun. If it's not your brand of fun, then just... don't play with them. Stick to your statics, your circle of friends, and leave the mentoring to people who genuinely have an interest in helping others, jumpers or not.
17. While I don't level much these days (I only have MCH, DRK, PGL, MRD, and FSH to get to 60 left...) I would still love to be able to help out others who are. I'll have to snag an invite the next time I'm online!
18. This week's Toll Night saw The Chroniclers gather just to shoot the breeze and catch up with one another. News was shared about the on-going mysteries of the Augmented Scintillant Ore (our Spurs of Chaos FC-wide Storyline), as well as ideas for the upcoming Gridania Story-Go-Round, and word from Alexander Steelstrike about an upcoming expedition into Xelphatol. (His personal Character Storyline.)
19. It doesn't have to be anything elaborate! It can be something as simple as: You find a injured on the side of the road. S/he looks like s/he could use some help! Mostly, it just needs to provide a reason for someone to approach/interact with your character, so try not to make them too passive. Think about the things your character is into or things they enjoy. Do they frequent taverns? Maybe something like... You see this person sitting at a table drinking a . They look like they could use a refresher. If you want to provide something more active/engaging, that's encouraged as well! You've received information about a shipment of rare metals. It's advised that you speak with for more information.
20. Thank you for signing up! We're looking forward to hearing about all the pairings and new friends that are made as a result of this event. Be sure to invite your friends, your guildmates, and even submit your Free Companies for consideration and exchanging! Remember that you do not have to be present to participate, if you aren't on-site when we draw, then I'll simply pair of remaining names, so even if you can't be there on December 17th, that doesn't mean that you can't join in!
21. Coming next week! Join us for all the Starlight Celebration fun and shenanigans! Karaan Nolan will be starting us off this week, so we look forward to more story-tellers and listeners joining us!
22. If you find clothing for your level that's craftable, please make a list and let me know. I keep a lot of low-level materials (if I don't have them, I can usually gather them) and I'd be happy to craft some things for you to save you a bit of gil. All I ask for in trade are roleplay opportunities! You're welcome to friend me in-game anytime.
23. Be sure to look for us and our guest speaker, Syranelle Ironleaf, at the Eorzean Alliance Victory & Unity Celebration!
