You all make me feel so old. My first rpg ever was the original FF on the NES, I think it was really FF3 in Japan. At first I wasn't too crazy about it but I liked the monk class (nunchuks, Square where are my nunchuks? I want them back). I nearly beat the game before having to give it back to a friend. Then later a SNES came out and I bought FF2 aka FFIV. Omg I was hooked forever, geat game great story, character deaths that made me scream in front of my tv (Palom and Porum!). The biggest badass I've ever seen in a game at the time: Kain MF'in Highwind. Yeah that MF'n part is really not in his name but my god does it belong there. Speed up to later where FFVI came out and the story of that game and its character roster still to this day is the absolute best out of any FF game I've ever played or seen. The soundtrack the story, the exploration just everything. Fifteen characters, all of them interesting. All of them. The best soundtrack imo in all of the FF games. That game sucked in hours of my days. I remember my mother coming into my room and hearing the map music and saying "That is really nice music". Just good times man. It makes me smile as an older FF gamer to see so much love given to FFVI in FFXIV:ARR. I didn't really like the others aside from VIII as I felt they were too railroaded, and the worlds were not as open as the previous NES/SNES versions. I got to try V on emulator and fell in love with that one too due to the fantastic jobs system. The story wasn't the best but with classes like Geomancer and Chemist you didn't care. I also eventually got to try FF Tactics on PSP though I missed the original PS debut. Another classic that I will love forever. Square had me so mesmerized that when I found out about FFVII going to the PS and not the N64 I told my friends "Where Square goes I go". I really feel bad for you guys that missed their SNES classics like FFIV, V, VI, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, really go back and try to play them if you are able. That was Square at its finest imo. Now lets all collectively wish for a mmo based on the Xenogears, Chrono or Secret of Mana series!

Yoshi himself talks about putting a table in your house for FC hangout/strategy sessions. Some of guys new to the game should really check these videos out your mouth will drop with the plans behind this game seriously. Most of them are on youtube right now. Go check them out. They are seriously detailed and most have been translated, some of them even have subtitles. I've seen them mentioned before but I didn't realise they contained that much info, so thanks and will do They are a great way to kill time before early access (Besides watching Sword Art Online or Attack on Titan) most of them are pretty long too and Yoshi shows lots and lots of pictures, footage, everything, this including the housing itself. And when I mean long I mean over two hours long a piece!

With things like this I prefer to keep it simple. Besides big flashy names draw too much attention. I'd call it Magic Sword. A magic sword can basically do anything, it can be sneaky, it can be powerful, it can protect all due to the versatility of it being magical. Today it can be inbued with a protection spell. Tomorrow invisibility and the day after that? Haste to both parry and attack. A Smith to Create it A Mage to Invigorate it A Blade to give it Purpose, that shall Awaken it Not sure if this is very good, just woke up lol

Everyone who played in Open Beta will not be there for early access or launch, just keep that in mind. I seriously recommend getting up early, making your character getting into your server and just going back to sleep if you are able to.

There will be a second Beach Party Festival - Swimsuit competition a little after the "heat resistant gear" drops. There is an in game festival that is supposed to debut them. They haven't said much about the festival except that it is going to happen. As for Rock I thought he was coming au naturale! That hasn't changed lol. He will be in his boxers for sure!

God I hate /roll fights with a passion. I am pretty much looking to EQN for my rp-pvp fix to be honest. Not saying FF can't do it well but I can't do pvp without rp. It was a major gripe of mine in GW2 with its stupid mists. "Oh go into another dimension and fight other people from other dimensions cause they are eeeevvvvviiiiilll!!!!" -snerk- I kinda wish FF handled the pvp like LOTRO where one side plays the Garleans and the others are from the city states.

I'm honestly curious about this myself as FF has always given off a feel of "we all are in this together". Not to say that individuals can't have their skirmishes, or FC vs FC skirmishes for example but I'd like to know storywise in the grand storyline why would pvp even make sense if we are all fighting against the same evils.

I have a question will there be some sort of appearance changer meaning I have Sword X but I made it look like Sword Z? GW2 and WoW I thought had excellent systems for this. Has anything like this been announced or talked about? If there is such a thing in the game then I would say that doing it cause its cool is very very valid. Though I would try to stay away from claiming items that don't yet exist that are impactful to the lore of the series. Having a special watch though is different as something as obvious as a blade which impacts something in the game directly. I will say this though find the most badass item that is in the game that represents what you want and go with it. Or name one of your weapons, named weapons are always cool and can be just such and such actual sword from the game. Naming it will give it a special flair in rp.

I think this is an excellent idea, the true neutral just about the coin merc group is always a great one. Especially because of the internal conflict that can happen due to characters of various alignments joining. I hope this really works well and I know you will get a lot of interest. Not to mention who doesn't love The Band of the Hawk from Beserk, I mean come on now. Those guys epitomize the true neutral soldiers for hire organization.
