Hehe I though the same thing

You can definitely make new characters on Balmung so it won't be an issue.

Thank you so much! These should prove useful

Alright lets face it, those of us who are going to Gilgamesh know that we are going to be playing with a pretty aggressive progression community. We also know that the majority of our recruiting is going to be directly from the server itself. One of the main issues of many non roleplayers is that roleplayers take so much time roleplaying that they do not learn the game. So I am proposing a trade exchange. A trade exchange on the basis of trading teaching roleplay to those who are interested in it from the progression based communities in exchange for getting direct tips to improve our own player skill overall as a group. I myself am -very- guilty of "roleplaying so much as to not learn the game". I personally believe that such a thing would help improve relations between those who feel in such a way towards roleplayers. I'd also like anyone who is part of one of these more progression communities to point to where would be the best place to go to be able to initiate something like this basically informing those from these communities that we would be interested in exchanging our knowledge of roleplaying for their knowledge of progressive based gameplay. This time around I'd like to overall get better at the mmo that I am playing as a whole being that roles are very important in the game. I'd like to know how my fellow Gilgamesh goers feel about this (though comments from anyone no matter where you are heading would be welcome. All I ask is keep your comments on the topic please). If anyone can point me in the right direction on who to speak to regarding any community leaders and the like please do so. Please invite anyone to this thread from these communities so we can have a discourse on the subject as I'd like to hear it from the other side. Those who have recently come to the site and are new to rp, but are part of one of these communities I'd really like for one of you to chime in as your feedback is vital. How do you my fellow Gilgameshers feel about such a proposal and would you be willing to participate? I think by being proactive and trying to meet them halfway might be a good thing to help ease the tension that some may have when playing alongside roleplayers. I also think it would bring down the chances and occurances of trolling. "Oh those roleplayer guys? Leave them alone their cool, they play right along with us and can hang with us in other parts of the game". Besides you know those guys are going to make some damn good crafted items. -Ahem- Let me know what you think.

You can create one on Gilgamesh its totally up to you.

How was the Beastmaster in XI? And people have been telling me that Bard in XI is better than Bard in XIV is that true? And god I could I forget Time Mage and Geomancer. Time mage would make an excellent CC class.
-
Here is a question for those from 1.0 I heard about there being a group of gun users in Limsa? What class would that be? Also are there any fast thin sword users in Eozea that would represent a class not in game yet?
-
Agreed
-
I would scream like a girl for Ronzo and make one immediately!
-
Geomancer, Blue Mage, Chemist, Thief. I would let the Chemist be able to heal the group with its potions and have guns.

True indeed. Personally I'd love to see a new race of beastmen pushed from the Garlemald? area that teams up with the native Eorzeans. The Garlean Empire seems like they would have been pretty effective at wiping out or enslaving any Beastmen populations in Garlemald, and if any fleeing Beastmen had escaped they probably would have done so during the push into Ala Mhigo. Hmmmm....good point

We've had a lot of new folk lately, they need to see this! *Ted Knight is heard in the background narrating: "With his incredible strength Rock Sandbourne pushes up the post for the newcomers!" -
Shame on me for not putting this here for you, it should really help a lot! Mentor Program

I was more referring to the Mamool Ja being a new entity added into the mix since the Calamity. We don't really know much about them, other than that they came across the seas and are apparently known for their work as mercenaries. We've only seen a few that are presumably friendly, of course. Lore-wise, Qiqirin and Goblins have long since been integrated into Eorzean society. More-so in Limsa Lominsa and Gridania than Ul'dah, however, as the sultanate has a beef with beastmen. Both Qiqirin and Goblins are fairly common-place in the city-states, though. You'll see them peddling their wares in the markets. Mamool Ja, on the other hand, are this completely new race that seem to be fairly aggressive, so it's interesting to see them mingling with Eorzean society. Are they actually from across the sea? The only Lore not related to FFXI I could find about them implied they were implied to have come directly from Vana'diel, though I never encountered any besides the one in the Arcanist Guild in Limsa Lominsa, and never saw any hostile ones to see if there was any indication of whether that was true or not. To Rock, I as a major fan of Werewolves in general, I would love a Wolf type race to be added to the game, even if it wasn't anything related to Lycanthropy. Sadly I could see it being more likely as a new Beastmen Race than a new player race. I think a mammalian beastmen race that was playable would also be interesting lore wise being that there really haven't been any I've seen so far. It could establish that maybe perhaps the mammalian beastmen might be different minded in some sort of way. That way you could leave the lizards and the bird folk as the enemies and create a story where the wolfmen could decide to help the native Eorzeans to deal with the Primals. Hell the way you could introduce them is as a newcomer to Eorzea. Perhaps coming over from the same place the Miqo's and/or Hyur's are from and remembering their one or two old friends. Imagine if this so called Wolfmen had their own Primal? Knights of the Round, the old spirit primal of the Hyurs before they left their own continent? Maybe the Wolfmen friends of the Hyurs before they migrated to Eorzea took on this primal as their own and perhaps it would show that the Hyurs at one time were more tribal with perhaps a related tribal belief system (Hence the almost Viking esque aspect/more savage look of the Highlanders mixed with the more knightly ancient England aspect of the Midlanders.) Or even better a beastmen race pushed from the Garlean continent (don't remember the name sorry) and enemy to the Garleans. Now that -would- be damn cool! (Perhaps mammalian beastmen might be from other continents?) Again I'm still learning lore and just theorycrafting here so please if there is something I don't know feel free to inform me.

Welcome to the site! Feel free to ask any questions!

This...I want this..not nearly enough Wolfmen and I don't mean werewolves. Are there Wolfmen in any FF game? I don't remember.

Welcome to the site! Now as far as RP being for you, I say that roleplaying is for anyone that has the interest to do so. Now as far as getting feedback, you might want to take a look at the thread below, its a great program with many looking to help! *just read the story, not a bad start! It leaves a lot of room open for her to be shaped on her quest of getting revenge. Who knows what may happen in the end* Mentor Program

*Raises hand* Forget all of you for constantly trying to make me speak! I lost in the end! Honestly though it was very progressive. Looking forward to the next one, perhaps using a more stable program. *kicks Skype*
