*sighs for these threads* Honestly I love how Midlander women look. I think they are very pretty I love everything about them they aren't over the top and many rpers I've seen on both servers play them as very everyday women. I also think that midlander men look very cool as certain classes especially Marauders, Black Mages and Paladins. Don't get me wrong I absolutely like Miqo's alot (though not as much the men as I am more of a Bangaa guy and prefer more feral looking and bigger guys) But I absolutely find Midlander women quite attractive to look at and have loved the rp I've had with every Midlander woman so far because for me it just feels quite authentic from what I've experienced. While I have no issue with the "Hyur kitty" Miqo (hell Amaare attracts more than his fair share lol) There is just something endearing about a down to earth Midlander be they male or female. Not to mention its more of a challenge making such a vanilla race stand out in rp. And I must say it really has been a pleasure with all of you Midlander players. Great great stuff honestly.

The thing is we are getting fresh blood, but like many of us who are fresh blood they also have to jump in running to get things started. Don't wait for other people to get things started, don't say "WoW you guys would be great at getting things started!" -You- meaning you Ms Wallflower, get something started that fits into what you want to see. I've always told people that on Gilgamesh the thing is that we, meaning -everyone- and each and -everyone- has to put in the work to get things started, otherwise it just won't work. I always find it an interesting conundrum when rpers don't want other people dictating what they want to do but yet won't stand out in the front to make things happen themselves. Be the change that -you- want to see, never wait for anyone else to do it, also there are guilds running internal events right now. Many of us knew going in that we had to be the ones that got things started because there is nobody else but us. Now the question is Ms. Wallflower are -YOU- going to start up what you want to see or keep waiting for others to do it? "Here's what I want to see" does not help Gilgamesh, its "Here's what I want to do"

Things will pick up after the new year, there are two events coming up that are posted on the calendar so please attend both and while many of us who do host events got tied down I would also ask those who are wishing to see more events to host their own as well. People have to set aside free time like anyone else and while I know it may be hard to do them just think about the fact that many of us including myself also are quite busy. Hell I have terrible work hours but I've run events on my day off and scheduled them far ahead of time to make sure that my schedule for the day is free. It just takes some planning. I myself got hit with several things at once. I will be resuming events for sure but I would also like others who want to see them to step up. This is indeed the time. Waiting for the same folk to do the events helps nobody in the long run, but for every person who makes an attempt well that's better for everyone. You don't need to hold an all day event a two hour event is sometimes is enough and it could be little more than story time or ic questing so that you don't have to quest alone. One of the things about being on Gilgamesh is that we all have to be a bit more aggressive since we are the newer server for roleplay and have the smaller population. I'm not saying this to be a bad person I am saying this as fact. But I also think it opens up more opportunities because it allows so much room in trying new things. I know sometimes its easier to wait for others to do things because we are busy, but if we truly want to help a community we sometimes have to brush ourselves off and get things started on our own and garner support by taking a leadership role, even if its just for a second. As I mentioned to many before launch Gilgamesh needs more leaders than anything and the more the merrier. Please I implore you to take the initiative. The more that we have -doing- instead of -waiting for others to do- is better for everyone. Want to see more events? Well please contribute and help get them started, again they do not have to be anything complex. It takes no time to organize ic dungeon runs or pve questing, or even with the advent of 2.1 ic pvp fights at the Wolves Den. If you need help or support then just hit me up in game or send me a mail and just ask it can even be done here.

This is probably the first time I've ever wished for a cash shop because I'd rather buy these with real money instead of run like a damn hamster on a wheel to grind content over and over again.

Absolutely ridiculous....I like the game but -not- that much. They are doing this as if they have an SWG type economy to support something like that.

I pretty much go with internal Aether control myself in rp, it just makes it easier imo and has provided some great rp so far for me.

Honestly I'd say its a bit complicated and while I don't think the story is bad or anything I will say that it is very involved and seems to come off as if it does not allow alot of room for people to stretch their arms in. I'm not saying don't do it. I'm saying allow more legroom. I also have a question maybe I missed the answer but how was he born with such an eye as the one mentioned? How could something like that be put into a baby? I would say if anything go with him receiving the eye later on as he was growing up. You could put in a great reason why in there and link the father to it. Perhaps he lost it in a dragon attack and father got it, perhaps something else happened that got him that eye. To simply be born with it is a bit too easy, and comes off as unrealistic. A good way to improve roleplaying is by not trying to do too much all at once. Its better to have some things develop over time.

Well its more about setting up with other FC leaders and picking a time when they all can be on at the same time to hit the same neighborhood/instance together.

Alright this thread is basically for those who are setting up FC houses in one of the three cities. It would be ideal for everyone who is able to set up in the same cities that way we can have rp neighborhoods in the same instances. Please understand that for this to happen you will have to purchase the houses at the same time as the other FC leaders that are setting up in the same city as you so that you all can be in the same neighborhoods. There are 30 houses per neighborhood. For this post please list this information FC Name FC Leader Planned City of your FC house Playtimes List a playtime so that you can arrange when you can get with the others to purchase your houses so that we can have multiple FC's in the same instances. The more rp FC's in one instance the better. We would also like to see a reasonable number of FC's in each city if possible of course. Right now Limsa and Ul'dah seem to have the most interest with Gridania sorely needing love. Lets organize this well, as we do not want to be spread across several instances of the same city. Its all about the big picture here for our roleplay neighborhoods!

Unfortunately due to a recent death in the family I am going to have to put this event on hold. This event will definitely be happening but due to the complexity of it (and recent server transfers both to and from Gilgamesh) I'd like to give it more time as my mind is currently not there for this event. I seriously apologize for this and please believe that this event will happen! There will be other events coming soon! Promise!

Amaare found Braxas as a baby during the aftermath of the Calamity, he parked his wrecked ship on the shore, was heading back to check on friends and found this baby Couerl curled up against her dead mother. He picked her up, plopped the half dead from starvation kitten on the top of his head and continued on his way. The scars on his face? Too many facehugs and kisses from Braxas while he was raising her.
