Balmung :: RP Connections wanted!
Simeon Sibaruse replied to Izayoi Okeya's topic in Chronicled Connections
Greetings there, As I took another little stroll through the RPC, I raise a hand about interest. And even better, surely about the three characters proposed possibly. Impressive isn't it? More seriously found in both of your two first character right the type of people Simeon would surely get to dislike just from their education/profession. If their is enemies wanted about them, pretty sure would fit the hook. And of course, for playing a warmonger with a short fuse, knowing more healer is always a boon, way more able to get along with menders of people than robbers. As such, if wanna rp, sign me up! (wiki in progress of reformation for change of template, apologies, ain't the more complete thing for now.) -
[Periodic] Lucy Leaf's Loose Leves (A Fate-14 event thread)
Simeon Sibaruse replied to Nihka's topic in Chronicled Events
Greetings there. Having quite the time out of late and no prior experience with FATE-14 system, would like to sign up with Simeon Sibaruse, a roaming ishgardian lending an arm to things he find interesting. Not even for the gils! (that's how dumb some are, I know) -
balmung Street Thief / Burglar in need of marks or contacts!
Simeon Sibaruse replied to Coda's topic in Chronicled Connections
Well, random stroll on the RPC, here I am. Just gotta add Simeon name on the robbery whitelist. Got already well... Thrice, never managed to caught one (in fact, caught one, but laughed with it and finished by drinking together) So... Well, guess I'm open to robbery of a character always with a good purse of gils and some jewellery if you want. Hanging around all Eorzea for his own duties to his House. Got a skype too. And a to update wiki. So take your pick if you fancy so. Good day. -
Well, with a most recent quite heated argument over the general matter of Azys Lla, seem like a good idea to make a quick (edit: not so quick) post here. With an awful lot of HS, but hell, the question puzzle me Truth to be told, I was more than a bystander than anything but still... well, something puzzle me, a lot of them already told here. For all that matter, well, you're free to go to this place, sure, but... I may have some difficulties with people going up-there like... going for a tea-party? I mean, even if for me, this place, as just desolated/isolated/widely unknown may be, and the sheer size of it may make quite impossible to control it, (Seriously, Ishgard have trouble to just provide supplies for their outpost in the Sea of Cloud, they say it. Not sure they have anything near the vessel needed to patrol the area, even less with a superdreadnought garlean ship up-there, didn't it? Which is a lone ship. Per se, not able to control the whole area); I have some troubles with going there picnic way. Guess people are pretty handy with airship now, given how things have evolved, with sky privateer and such but... You know, that doesn't rub well to go in such a dangerous place for the thrill. [unless you're some kind of handy researcher or blood-seeker berserker I mean]. Sure, people have their reasons, know even of some who go up there but well... They are with a full party of grizzled mercenary or a platoon of troops to make sure nothing "too" bad happen. Guess I'm kind of a scaredy cat, but, unless some very serious business/or being a crazed scholar, like a matter of death, who'll go poke allagans creations (You know, the people you should fear, crazed with so much power they even try to use the Big Purple Thing, make strange experiments, make a seal worth of a moon, chimeraes and such..), in a barren wasteland, where a massive badass dragon is held and the most dreaded of primals? (like enough to make Allagans [see before] wary of them?) Won't even speak of logistics difficulties, like... spare pieces for airship, bad wyrms still roaming the area from time to time, supplies just impossible to gather on site and such... So... Given all of these and the fact that, well, most people maybe not even know what the fuck the name imply, why and how so many people are seemingly taking some casual sight-seeing nice little romantics trips in this place? I'm quite curious about it, without any irony. (I swear, I'm genuinely curious) Even more when it's like... well, people claiming to have gone up-there alone, explored some big scary place and found things in, without a scratch? I'm seriously wondering how should I react to that, I mean, differently that "I see..." Guess that's all for now.

I'm new and excited to be here! I have a quick question.
Simeon Sibaruse replied to Mordenn's topic in Welcome Desk
Hi there, Welcome here first, and you're right, this server is truly a big bright gold mine on the world of MMO's, and i've wandered quite my share before. My point is more focused on the elezen dude, playing one as well, and better, ishgardian nobility as you've fallen in love with the cold north (as many before you), I can give a bit of pointers. As such, you'll find that there is at least a two whole linkshells dedicated from characters up-there related, with a fair share of Elezen (seem logical when they are 60% of current population of the country.) in it. You'll find also quite a fait share of related FCs operating over the area as well. As I have only a single character, I can't give tips about other locations and dedicated elezen related groups, but you'll find too a decent population of Shroud-dwellers, so I bet if you're the forest kind, you'll find something pretty easily! With that said, best of luck to you and see ya in-game maybe! This was a perfectly assumed advertisement for Elezen characters and especially Ishgardians ones, with a slight focus of saying "Hey, seek me if you wish". The autor ain't a bit sorry for it. May you have a good day. Edit: You've heard the folks don't you? Make the good choice, follow the right path, play Elezen! or be ready for lizard ass spanking! -
"Gruesome killing near la Costa del Sol" "A slaughter on the docks." It's at dawn than nothing less than four bodies where discovered on the dock near the Costa del Sol camp. The men, all in their prime, were ruthlessy killed by unknown attackers, in a seemingly one-sided slaughter for what Maelstrom forces on site have reported. No details were disclosed by the authorities, but words have spread that the victims were notorious slavers. From our sources, a witness have identified two rag-tag bunches fairly earlier to the presumed attack quitting the Costa del Sol camp, seemingly looking like adventurers, without ever going back. That confirm the magic energy identified, as attackers seem to have teleported away with aetherical travel. The Maelstrom is currently on the look-out to identify the culprits and motives of this infamous slaughter, even if slavers won't miss to anybody! As said by the current head-investigator on this case 'This men may have been scums, but there is still Law in our state!' (More information to be disclosed by contacting the maelstrom forces or local witness, just send a mp if you are curious! Have a good day)

balmung As an Ishgardian noble.
Simeon Sibaruse replied to Simeon Sibaruse's topic in Chronicled Connections
Hello here, bumping a bit the subject, as things have a bit evolved. (I still have to contact some of the folks here, but schedules didn't let me...) As i'm just out of a major wiki overall update (and not finished, but that will wait for home mind you, need some documents), i'm sorry, this won't be the fancy type of bumping. At much, let explain what's different for before and what could I'll be seeing too: -With his first travels outside of Ishgard, Simeon is now on the move, quite eager to know more of this wondrous outside word where nobody try to enlist him in politics. As such, he is prone to be find either way in the strangest of places as well as the busiest cities. -Far from home, his temper is quite kicking him again full force, the battle junkie coming back eagerly, prone to dive him head first into troubles or adventuring with only little insight. -Surprinsingly, this character seem to attract robbers, maybe because of him standing like a sore thumb in a crown, already robbed or threatened to be... So more or less... that's kind of a habit now. Maybe exploring the shaddiest of area may explain why but... that's just a maybe. Alright, As I have already typed too much of text today so that'll be all for today for this bump, as I can resume, I'm shifting to seeking actual connection and plots to discover, the outline of the character quite worked for now. Thanks for the read and good... whatever time of the day it can be for you. -
Uhuh. Must reconize, mine is a prank over my own character. Things are always better when you spat in the face of your own creation no? I choose Sibaruse just like that, a prank coming for being close to an archaic form of Sybarite. And as the character try is very best to be some kind a lawfull good shining knight (not with much succes though, too much doubts...), it's exactly my kind of joke. If ever he is to fuck-up his efforts, he'll be pretty close to the meaning of his name. Taht's what make it amusing for me. Simeon was freakingly random, just have sounded good on the moment. Can't ask for more.

Meh, haven't seen that thread before, have time to... make myself less bored I think, so here we go. Like the subject though. Battle are part of my favorites part. And so go... consequences. To put it simple, Simeon is most likely to die in a messy way. The bad kind one. As my very first GM said me, you don't always win, that's what make the thrill. For the short time i've been here, already have an almost torn off arm, a smashed knee, numerous cuts and so on... So I'm pretty hyped for injuries. You can't expect to be some Space Jesus and survive everything without a scratch can't you? My favorites may be lasting injuries... Not always loosing a limb, but a impaired shoulder, a burn mark... things that make the character to change his habits and evolve. Hell, that add some nice depth coupled with quirks ad such. That make things even better that some "Shiny Knight" mod, when you're a seasoned sword wielder with nothing more than a (manly) cheek scar to show off. No offense intended, that just how I like it And like injuries, death doesn't phase me a bit. I mean, you search for trouble, trouble bite you back. That's only logical. May have some major plot going, lasting connection and such but... Truth to be told, if ever a kill is nicely done, I've nothing to say against. I'm even quite prove to worsen the situation on my own. To make it simple, if the thing seem real, it get real. The only pain in the ass is paying a couple buck, cause I'm not loosing all my grinded levels. Nop, screw you, I'm not doing these things ever again. NEVER.

@Candor => I'm sorry, with the last quite chaotic few days (like many things to do, and not nearly enough time), I didn't reach out for you already, but i swear I will soon! Even if loayl to a different house, it's good to know people! @Arabel => Yes, always happy to have some prior connection! Even more when coming from the road (I must just advice that you'll be call furball. Taht's my standard with Simeon for Miqo'te! ) I'll send you a tell, or maybe a MP is ever I can't bring myself to reach you in game. Just don't be surprised And yeah, Dresden, one day, we'll meet... maybe... If fate let us do, once in a while -
I. Basic Info Characters:Simeon Sibaruse Primary character:I have only one character Linkshells:Ishgard RP & Europa Primary RP linkshell: Ishgard RP for now. [*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy. I like to play the game for itself, sure. But I'm here for RP. A good day can't be one without RP. That's as simple as that. So yeah, heavy, twisted Plots, intriguing mysteries, casual encounters... If I'm online, I'm available and willing to RP. If I'm not already. Views on RP combat and injuries: We loose, we win. Shit happens. So yeah, as my character is ready to lay down his life for his beliefs, he is to sustains injuries. So I am. If not, I'll be playing something who can't be involved in combat. Too bad, I play an Ishgardian. Views on IC romance: Characters are living people. As such, they evolve and sometime, they grew fond of each other. So I'm not a bit against it, if things should go that way. Only things is... I'm no Happy-go-Lucky. Things take time and have a reason too. Well, lust may happen too, if the situation call for it. But not often. Really not often. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Hell yeah. It's always cool to have ties with characters. Even more when playing nobility. There is a quite extended family, even more in a millenia-closed city like Ishgard. And there is household too. So yeah, almost everything is fine for me. Be it the NPC already roughly created or some brand news characters, I'll welcome anything, but one. Brothers ain't possible. Simeon had only one brother, and he is dead. Sisters can be opened to discussion. Well, there is still step-ones, but that's a whole other thing. Views on lore: Truth to be told... I've never played an FF before. Not one. So many things may escape me. But I'm a fast learner. But, to answer the question. I have no problem bending things a little. A little. And mostly when I'm not sure about details. But common knowledge, fact or power-ranking? Frak, if I overlook them, I'm not playing the game anymore. I'm playing mine. Not my aim. So yes, I stick to the lore, when I can. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Send a Tell, come say hi, pickpocket me... Go on. I'm here to RP. Whenever you want, I'm up to discuss, to answer or whatever. If I'm online and not with the AFK sign or wearing some hideous armor set (like when I grind my stuff), I'm open to anything. And I do love Linkshells. Currently in two of them, I wanna be in more if the occasion arise to. Great tool to find people, to discuss things, trivials or importants. [*] III. Other Info Country:France. Or Mayotte, to be precise. Like close to Madagascar. Not really your run of the mill french territory. Timezone:UTC+3. Contact info:First and foremost, here. Or Skype, if you fancy so. I'm going by Druss/Krinzanz. Or if you wish Mumble and TS too. Your choice. [*] [glow=blue]~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~[/glow]

Greetings here, You know, I was somehow surprised to see a fellow countryman here given the title. And you broke all my hopes! For that, I can't bring myself to hate you. It's better when fate play a trick on you. Really, masterwork! Anyway, hope you will blend well, and now, for the main dish... Disclaimer: 'Tis ain't mean to be offensive, it's quite in adequation with the avatar. That make only two characters described over the three mentionned no? As well as the signature... kukuku. Frak, even the disclaimer was looking like a prank. See you IG maybe! (No really, I'm better IC than here. I don't pull pranks.)

Welcome here, fellow UTC+3 player! If ever you feel the need to, you're welcome to come find a kinda lunatic elezen! Wait that's not it? Alright, i'll stick to the welcome and see ya IG maybe.

Alright, time to do some writing. Character Name: Simeon Sibaruse. Brief description/Link to Wiki: Here, Wiki ==> Shiny blue link!. For now, let's go with a brief description. Male Elezen, 28 years old, Ishgardian, second son and last remaining of his House's Lord. Currently heir to this very same house. Engaged in an arranged marriage. Usually online: -4 PM - 10PM/00AM, depend of the day. All in GMT time. -Quite anytime during week-end. Or more like always. Your call. Intensity: Heavy. I like to run dungeons and raids, right, but my main objective here is to find roleplay. Not a bit unhappy about this point for now I don't bite, feel free to send a tell, randomly try to pickpocket me or whatever.

Uh, kind of fun subject to think of. But no spider-man costume here, sadly. There is two possibility for me as preparations. First one, to make things as erratics as possible. As much light as I can muster, loud music, completely out-of character, like russian nightcore, boosted to the max, when playing an noble. That's freaking disturbingly good. Most of the time, that when people try to piss me off with real needs when playing. Or talking to me. Or try to give advices... I may have nothing against people reading over my shoulder, but I have against people thinking they can comment on it. Or half-closed doors. That's dumb. Why to half-close it, seriously? Doors are meant to be open, or close. Not half and half. Second one, is a polar opposite. Like sitting in the darkest and coldest corner of my house, in utter silence, only my computer as companion. Hopefully, there is a basement to do it. I feel that basement have a nice smell with roleplaying. To ask me why, i can't answer this. No, there is no basement in my house, so this option is kind of lacking. But hey, maybe the next one will do.

Simeon Sibaruse replied to Simeon Sibaruse's topic in Chronicled Connections
Hi, To answer your question Zelmanov: Simeon has yet to be lord of his house. Father is still kicking in for now. But, as a but is always welcomed (God, even if it's so bad of a joke, i can't bring myself to erase it.), he have stepped down/retired from his dragoon position when becoming his heir. The explanation is quite simple. It was all part of the deal. Blessed with a useless older brother, the kind who's head is nothing but empty air and little sanity, he gone against his family wishes when striving for to become a Dragoon. As such, he cut a deal with his father. As long as his older brother was in, being the rigthful heir, he'll be free to pursue his own dreams. But with the fool death (even in his first real contribution to Ishgard, that how lame the guy is), he had to keep up his end of the bargain, retiring forcefully to attend to the politicals duties which fell on him. With only little training on the heir subject, almost no knowledge of ungoing plots, he have a lot to learn, taking up most of his time. Being the last remaining son of a aging father, still being a dragoon was way too dangerous for this father and he pressed on as hard as he can to make sure he retire. Even more, he is even engaged in an arranged marriage with a complete stranger and kinda started all of this on the wrong foot, truth to be told. (Even if the chick is in shady business way more dangerous than being a simple dragoon... but fate has always been the twisted trickster uh?) If I must sum that up, i'll said your were quite right, he give up for the sudden obligation of becoming more than just a random little noble with no claim over his own house. I hope this little of information can answer your question and highlight the why of this decision. And I do take notice of who can attend to make his life worse in every way. Will see about it when home, work ain't the better place for that! -
Greetings, Somehow new to Balmung (yes i have been absent for a looong time), with an almost brand new character, i come here to seek some links, contacts and such to elaborate a bit more the basics of the character. Explanation following: Playing a "Young" (mid-twenties) Ishgardian noble, recently promoted heir to his family by the death of his older brother, i am currently seeking for people he may have met/developped connections during the past few years. -Former Dragoon, against family wishes, he have served Ishgard on the field for some years, making more than natural to know some of his comrades Dragoon or Ishgardian military. -Coming from minor nobility, his house pledge loyalty to the Durendaire, and even if before his brother death, he haven't really step up in the political game, becoming the heir make highly probable to know at least some member of the House in particular, or supporter and retainers from other families. -Quite a good natured guy, a bit of a lunatic and dreamy, truth to be told, he was somehow distant from his own family during his time as a Dragoon. Befriending common folk was in conséquences no problem for him, his blunt behavior kinda far from the expected of nobility. (Not when he is angry. There it show a lot he is of noble birth ) I think that's all for the majors points i can enlighten on. Oh, yes, never he had travelled from Ishgard before the most of recent time, it may be usefull to know. I know there is almost no details over the character personnality (you can guessed majors lines from points before no?), so don't hesitate to ask me if you want some more detailled description. I just prefer to reduce the length of this subject for everyone. And I'm playing from Mayotte (a small french rock between Madagascar and the Mozambique), so I'm in GMT+3 Timezone, even if i have some really weird play times... Don't search the logic, just say i can be here almost all the time.) So.... Good evening or whenever period of the day it is for you, and thanks for reading this... Dunno, not sure how to qualify this. (PS: Enemies are fine too, we may have fine allies, we never have too much enemies.)

Hello everyone! To make it short, don't ask why and how i'm coming here, the answer is simple... Ekidna. Yes, i'm just a passenger on her journey to find roleplay, so... here i am. Nice isn't it? (just ask her for details, she love it) Now, as we can stop speaking of her, let's speak of... me, in fact. Because it's kind of late here, i will stick to the template found in post-it, rather than be original. Sorry to disappoint. I-MMORPG: Even if it shame me... i'm a massive consumer of MMORPG. For the ten last year, i've played a lot of them (No truly, it must be near the 30's) and hate more even. But, i've to say some have marked me, and my vision a lot. In this bunch of winners, you can find WaR (Warhammer Online, Age of Reckoning) in first place, LOTRO, Age of Conan, Rappelz (sorry...) or least but not last SWTOR, from which i came. As i am a lil... monomaniac, that's quite the high number of hours online... yeah. But, unless, no in fact, even on Rappelz, i've always play for a precise reason. Friend weren't available daily to rp, so, i've started MMORPG, for the better and the worst, wishing to find mates to rp with. (I confess, mostly the worse.) Even if i am a pretty intense gamer, trying to clean everything... II-RP experience: Here, i must separate in three majors parts. First one, the real part. On desk, to be precise... or green, or even a cramped bathroom at 5 am... but that's another story. For this part, i've played nearly a decade with friends, strating early, to never regret my choice of leasure. With them, as many as they can be, i've played D&D, Warhammer (even the 40K version, as Rogue Trader, Dark Heresy, Deathwatch, etc...), Vampires (only Dark Ages, begone, scum of Modern Era!), Werewolf, Hunter or Mage... uh, in fact, most of the White Wolf franchise.... and that's already good for now. Oh, and we've played a lot of wargames too. Truly a lot... As money-eating can it be. For the second one, i've played for some years, roughly 4~5, on virtuals plateform, using softwares like Mumble or Ts, with Roll20, Rolistick, and such... Even Maptool, as bothersome as it can be. With them, i've explored another realm of RP, without faces, or moves, learning many tricks to convey emotion, atmosphere and such. I've played here more Indies RPG, as Oikoumene, Red Sands, etc, etc... and i haven't stop, even becoming part of the staff of one of this type of websites. (And it's an administrative pain in the ass. I must reconize.) As the third one, i'll speak of my MMORPG experience. Playing for a while on them, i've experiment a lot of ways, building a strong dislike of a way too long list of things to be written here. After roughly 4 years on SWTOR, playing a delusionnal and bored Sith, Kikinette (A.K.A Ekidna) have drag me here, on FF, even without my consent,to discover a formidable game and universe, unknown of myself. And yeah, completly unknown, as i haven't ever played a FF. Not once. Yep. (I'm skipping point III and IV.... will come later on [Or not, we'll see] and already answered) V-Type of Role-player. As you can imagine if you have read everything (Even if it's unlikely), i'm kind of... passionnate over roleplay, trying to do it as much as possible, even as the expenditure of my sleeping time... Not that i sleep much to begin with. And it seem a nice place to enjoy it to the fullest. So, i'm aiming to become as active as possible. Keep it in mind! (Sorry, it's late, i'm just getting out of three hours of PvP.) VI-Anything else. In short, to sumarize a bit, i'm currently 21 years old, without all my teeth, living on the little island of Mayotte for now some month, near Madagascar. Yeah, the point on the map south-est to africa. It's my place. I love to anger Kikinette, read useless informations (like the history of the necktie, the technological factor of a shipyard in star wars and such), remember them and use it in a strange way. (Or to anger Ekidna... but it's another story). As i can continue for long on such pointless babble, i'll stop here, say i'm happy to be here, wishing to discover everything you can offer, and... see you in-game! (PS: It's been a while since i've to make an true text in english... sorry for the errors.)
