So What Changes Are Going Through Starfall Trading Co. ? In the past, ST-RP was based more on the company than the community. We've realized that as a company focused on mercantile, we need to properly communicate with those around us to ensure that we are able to assist those who are in need of our services - rather than ask individuals to come to us, first. Though our numbers have significantly dwindled within the past few months, we plan on giving back to the community in a sense, and our one true aim is to help bring together Eorzea through commerce - one gil at a time. Since I..er..kinda poofed for a little bit and mostly lurk on this forum nowadays, I figured a reintroduction was in order (mostly because I kinda botched my first one when I first joined the RPC a while back @-@; ). [align=center]ANYWAY. [/align] [align=center]A Bit of Background Info.[/align] My S/O and I have transferred to Balmung from Mateus a little over a year ago, being Mateus kinda didn't have any RP..like, at all. Upon hearing that Balmung is a good source of RP, and being that my S/O and I are both RPers with a bit of experience under our belt, we jumped ship as soon as we could and were both really impressed! A couple of FCs and character concepts later, we had started up Starfall Trading Co. However, I soon became stupidly busy with stuff IRL, so we closed up shop for a bit. We are working on reopening the FC in the future, though! [align=center]My Character[/align] [align=center][/align] I currently play a Miqo'te merchant named A'mahri Kahz. Recently, the stubborn git had overworked herself and decided it would be a good idea to splurge on Aetheryte travel to the point where she became gravely ill. She's on the road to recovery after being bedridden for a while, though some tasks are still a bit hard for her at the moment! So..yeah! That's about it. I'm waiting until my next pay to sub back into FFXIV and I wanna try RPing again. I've had a blast for the first year, but thanks to the great and magical social anxiety kicking back in after some IC/OOC mixing drama, it began to die down a ton to the point that it just wasn't fun anymore. I'm working on it, though! I've only just gathered the courage to dive into the Quicksand, so if you see a sassy Miqo'te wearing red in the future, feel free to walk up!

Starfall Trading Co. is currently undergoing some MAJOR reconstruction, so recruitment and events will be cancelled until everything's done. It's about time we open up a new chapter.

[align=center] Starfall Trading Co. Weekly Report - July 3rd[/align] Hello Friends! This has been such a wonderful yet busy week for us at Starfall Trading Company! What seemed like an overwhelming start to the week with the countless orders upon us, it quickly turned into a great success. By the end of the week we got some well-deserved time to welcome our new colleagues that joined aboard. Without further ado, allow us to give you all the juicy details! [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​ Goodies on the Go! [/align] Four suns ago, A’mahri had initiated “Hell Week” upon us at our weekly meeting. She explained that we had numerous orders to fulfill in a short amount of time which also had to be shipped out! Upon the arrival of the meeting it looked very bleak as there were not many of us but it seems for the first time ever…many of us were late! This is the first time in the company’s history this has ever happened so it was rather amusing. We ended up going to Oakwood to find everything on our botany list and then some shellfish for our clients! A’mahri’s shining moment was when she found a glowing blue gem which is suspected to be a rock containing aetherial properties relating to water. Haru and Celise’s “monster bass” quickly stole the show at the end. None of us have ever seen a fish that big! Well done on the successful work everybody, a long rest is needed! [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​ An Induction to Remember [/align] One by one within the wooded area of Upper La Noscea known as Poor Maid’s Mill we stood in unity with two new members of our company: Koharu Iyashi and Syrielle Tayuun. Both ladies have recently joined Starfall Trading Co. and will be assisting in the medical ward. Koharu is currently apprenticing under Dr. Sareyu and Syrielle will be helping out with alchemy. We welcome both of you and we’re so grateful to have you both here with us! The night was not perfect by any means though, as Sareyu had soon noticed something awry with Koharu. [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​ A Mysterious Illness [/align] At the end of the induction, Sareyu chased after Koharu in a rush. Koharu explained she had gone to see her “master” and had gotten attacked by a mysterious spell-casting being that attacked her with a virus-like spell. She now sits in the infirmary and awaits as the entire company works hard to solve this mystery. Thanks to Dezmond’s “smarts” and research combined with the rest of the crew’s abilities, we are in hopes of a better tomorrow for our Koharu. [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​ Starlight Bistro Reminder[/align] Please do not forget that Starlight Bistro opens July 10th at 7:00 pm EST in the Goblet Ward 9 Plot 4. Being the company had been settling into the new house, not a lot had happened within the company. Worry not, though! A heavy influx of IC orders have been coming into the company as of late, so ST-RP is ready to go to work yet again. [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​ Survey into Eastern Thanalan[/align] Last weekend, Starfall Trading Co. headed out on a more ‘local’ survey into the outer areas of Camp Drybone. We’ve managed to procure some pretty good materials such as pearl ginger root, crystals, and button mushrooms, as well as had a few unfortunate encounters with some white scorpions which had decided to join us on our travels. After a good ol’ fashioned game of Scorpion Toss, Sareyu had been unlucky enough to get one of the scorpions caught in her robes. Luckily, no fatal damage was inflicted, and Sareyu had eventually managed to shake the critter off. [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​ A Special Promotion, for a Special Lady[/align] On Wednesday, Starfall had gathered around the basement of their newly furnished basement to have a meeting in regards to what would be going on with the company for the next moon or so. Additionally, a promotion was handed out to a certain someone whose enthusiasm and positive work ethic brings a smile to most, if not everyone in the free company and out. So - Sareyu Ejinn, congratulations on your IC/OOC promotion to both an officer and leading medical practitioner of Starfall Trading Co. [/align] On Thursday evening, friends and co-workers alike had gathered around to set up a surprise Nameday party for one of our youngest members (ICly), S’arraqanis Seveno! It was an evening of laughs, cake, relentless tickling, gifts, and ego bursts. Even-though she can be a brat, a pain in the butt, and a bit of a handful, we love her anyway. Recently, the company had been sitting down and talking about the possibility of a restaurant being established in the downstairs area of our Free Company estate. Details are currently being worked out (well, mostly the menu..) but we are shooting to host an opening on the 10th of July at 7pm EST. Sometime in the future, a thread will be posted with additional information on both the RPC and our Enjin. If you happen to be in the area at the time, feel free to stop by and say hello - or sit down and relax with some good food and conversation. After taking a bit of a break to prepare for patch 3.3, we're back in action - and we're definitely excited to share some good news on our end, too! Now that 3.3 has rolled in, there's a whole buncha new content in store! Some of us have sampled what Square has thrown at us, and we're pretty pleased for the most part (except for Mhach...sheesh!). Being we've skipped over last week's report, let's go straight into it - shall we? [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​[/align] [align=center]A Hiking We Will Go! [/align] Concluding our business in Mor Dhona, we've finally packed our bags and took a small hike towards Fallgourd Float whilst cutting through Coerthas. The weather was pretty cold (and some of us were underdressed *coughmahricough*) so we've decided to move quickly...all while being pursued by a strange entity. While we were unaware as to who was following us, strange occurences began taking their place with the caravan. Snowballs were being pelted at us from out of nowhere, one of our members being thrown into a whole heap of embarrassing situations, and soon we began hearing voices from something or someone, calling themself the Snow-wrath. Needless to say, we've rushed out of Coerthas as soon as possible. [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​[/align] [align=center]We did it, Folks![/align] [align=center][/align] On the 7th of June at 6:00am, the Great Housing War of Eorzea had taken place. A sea of civilians, both FCs and normal individuals alike, all made their way to the housing zones of the Mists, Lavendar Beds, and Goblet. One of those groups of people in particular...were us! Thank you to Dezmond who had volunteered to stay up for the night in an attempt to grab us a plot. Though the ridiculous 1k+ queue proved difficult at first, we've had a couple of friends that were able to assist us! In the end of all the housing chaos, we've eventually grabbed a Medium house in the Goblet...which brings us to the next topic. [align=center]_________________________________________________________________________​​[/align] [align=center]Starfall Trading is Officially Open for Business![/align] Located in Ward 9 of the Goblet at Plot 4, Starfall Trading Co. is officially opening their doors for people to come in, browse, and relax! Our house is open to anyone and everyone, and we will begin taking IC commissions of items towards other FCs or people wishing to use our services. Feel free to stop by when you get the chance! Even when nobody's around, the building's open for RP regardless. Currently, our FC house is broken into three sections - the shop, the infirmary, and the tavern. This week, the company wrapped up business in Thanalan and are now en route to Mor Dhona! Additionally, two of our members engaged in an Eternal Bonding ceremony this week, so congratulations to both Sareyu Ejinn and Balther Strongblade. May your hearts continue to beat as one until the very end! [align=center]________________________________________________________________________________​_______[/align] [align=center]Drinking Games at the Coffer & Coffin [/align] This week, Starfall Trading Co. stopped by the Coffer & Coffin to drink and be merry! Along with a special guest, the company participated in a friendly drinking game. With luck on her side, Seveno came out on top with the least amount of drinks, while Balther and his liver of steel had consumed the most ale for the duration of the competition. [align=center]________________________________________________________________________________​_______[/align] [align=center]A Bond for Eternity [/align] On the 20th of May at 7:00pm, bells were ringing as Sareyu Ejinn and Balther Strongblade exchanged vows and became husband and wife. With the amount of rock formations scattered about the location, there was bound to be different types of ore and other sorts of metals that the company could make use of. Heading south of Black Brush Station, we have actually managed to pick up some Iron ore as well as spot some saffron not too far away. Our moment of celebration upon finding items of use was soon cut short, as a Spriggan soon popped out of one of the crevices and snatched Dezmond's firearm! After a game of cat-and-mouse, we've managed to corner the Spriggan inside of the Sil'Dih Excavation Site. However, several more Spriggans joined the fray. Despite our numbers being short, we've managed to clear the area with minor injury. Afterward, we took one extra look around for more materials. Having found more copper and iron ore, the survey was then wrapped up and the rest of us have started preparations for our entry into Mor Dhona. This week, the company's vacation in La Noscea had finally come to a close and we have since then packed our belongings and set sail for Thanalan. Will Starfall run into trouble with bandits, Brass Blades, or other roadside oddities? Who knows! [align=center]_______________________________________________________________________________________[/align] [align=center]Company Wine & Dine[/align] [align=center] [/align] On the 11th of May, Starfall Trading Co. brought their vacation to a close over a meal and some Cabernet Sauvignon in Wineport. Before the company began embracing their inner Sommeliers, a small briefing was given regarding the voyage over towards Thanalan which would take place two suns later. After a discussion of the possibilities of getting pricked by cacti, getting mugged, and possibly filling in a few orders for the Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern, the company soon parted ways after getting their fill of wine. Hits Thanalan[/align] [align=center][/align] Having spent more than enough time indulging on the luxuries that La Noscea had to offer, it was high time that Starfall Trading Co. packed up and boarded the next ferry towards Vesper Bay, Western Thanalan. It was a rather long journey across rough waters and the company deserved a bit of a rest and a day off to settle into the new terrain. What better way is there to relax than head out for a few drinks? Several members of Starfall have been spotted loitering around various player-owned establishments across the Goblet (thank you for having us, guys! ♥) where they have filled themselves up with plenty of food and drink. Afterward, the company sat down in the Silver Bazaar to discuss a bit of business. Slowly getting back into a work schedule, a survey into Central Thanalan and a visit to the Coffin & Coffer were scheduled. After those jobs are done, Starfall will slowly be making a move towards Mor Dhona and Coerthas. [align=center]_______________________________________________________________________________________[/align] [align=center]Company System Overhaul[/align] That's right! If you rewind a tad and see our original Linkshell post, you'd see it looks pretty different. That's because Starfall Trading Co. is having a bit of a system reworking period. After getting some feedback and advice from the lovely community, the FC is undergoing a few changes that won't really effect the company much in an IC level. These changes include getting rid of super-specific event labels, switching from Discord to Skype for easier OOC/IC communication (Since SE loves eating up RP posts), a bit of reworking around our system to better accommodate more types of RPers, and a few visual changes to both our Enjin and Linkshell post. [align=center]_______________________________________________________________________________________[/align] [align=center]Housing Situation[/align] [align=center][/align] So, it looks like the news about housing has finally been released. Starfall is definitely more than excited at the decrease in pricing, as is everyone else by the looks of it! Taking a quick peek at our funds at the moment, we definitely have more than enough for a medium. All we have to do now is twiddle our thumbs and join the housing race once the next patch becomes available. While our hopes are fairly high, we might as well disclose some information as to what we actually plan on doing with the house. Being a trading company, our initial plan is to create a sort of workshop to take in IC commissions. With the upstairs area, perhaps we will create a sort of lodging area for players to come and go as they please. Not much thought has been put in for the downstairs area, but hopefully we could open a tavern or something in the future! Again, these are just ideas and a whole lot of wishful thinking - we've still got plenty of time! [align=center] Starfall Trading Co. Weekly Report - May 8th[/align] Happy Sunday, everybody! Catboss and Ser Dezzalot here with your weekly Starfall Trading Co. Report. This week, we had finally brought our little vacation in La Noscea to a close and we are currently packing our bags to our next destination: Ul'dah! Additionally, we've finally concluded our first ever storyline with some pretty interesting results! [align=center]________________________________________________________________________________​_____________[/align] [align=center]Company Sparring Event[/align] [align=center][/align] Our week started off with a friendly sparring session at Moreby Drydocks. With last week's treasure map finally deciphered, it was a perfect opportunity to get in a bit of practice should we face any danger along the way in the future. It was quite a good turnout, and everyone fought to the best of their ability against their friends and rivals. Two members in particular, Haru and Balther, came out on top in terms of being undefeated for the duration of the event (Thanks, RNG). Well done, you two! [align=center]________________________________________________________________________________​______________[/align] [align=center]Of Steam and Cannonballs [/align] Our next adventure brought us to Camp Bronze Lake, where the company took the time to relax in the steamy waters and recover from some of the beatings they have obtained during the sparring session. It was a pretty relaxing day and it gave an opportunity for us all to get to know each-other a little bit more. Haru and Balther's fighting spirit never left from the other day, as they once again went at it in the hot-springs! It was quite a spectacular display of both Balther's hand-to-hand combat as well as Haru's use of magic. [align=center]________________________________________________________________________________​______________[/align] [align=center]A Heart Full of Adventure[/align] [align=center][/align] Our final journey this week brought us to Eastern La Noscea, where we embarked on our little treasure hunt. For those who have been following our journey, Releki had fished up a note in the bottle while on a fishing trip in Costa Del Sol that held nothing but the word "MOSS". After a few days of stuffing our heads into maps and books, we've finally discovered that the note was a faded map that lead to the South of Wineport. Armed and ready to go (with an additional guest!) , Starfall began their little hunt.

Thanks a whole ton to you guys putting this together. I definitely had a blast and wish I could've stayed longer than I did. The RP was great, the performances were phenomenal, and everything in general was just awesome! *thumbs-up*

It turned out to be a pretty fun evening and the company even played a game of water-bomb (a little roll-based game similar to 'Hot Potato') as suggested by one of our members! Some jokes were told, some people were thrown into the water, and some people got SOAKED by water before even touching the ocean! Thank you to those who have turned up for the event. [align=center]_____________________________________________________________________________________ [/align] [align=center]There be Treasure Among us![/align] [align=center][/align] Starfall Trading Co. started on its first ever plot-oriented event, triggered by one of our members, Releki! During the fishing trip, the Auri woman fished up a message in a bottle which revealed a piece of parchment with the word 'MOSS'. Some of the members of the company were baffled as to what the hidden message meant. After some observation, it was then revealed by Haru, another one of our members, that the weathered piece of parchment was a map pointing towards a section of Eastern La Noscea! This event is still on-going, and Phase II will be due to hit on the 7th of May. [align=center]_____________________________________________________________________________________[/align] [align=center]Company Movement[/align] Since we've started up, Starfall's been moving quite often! We've started up in Gridania and have stayed there for a few weeks, and now we've moved to Limsa Lominsa for an IC vacation! Soon, we'll be setting sail for Thanalan and will start slowly making our way towards Mor Dhona. A few questions were raised regarding whether or not we'll be entering Ishgard, being ST-RP was originally established there. That will be depending on whether or not members are even able to access Ishgard in the first place. Until we're at a comfortable ratio of members who are able to enter (no man left behind!), we'll be putting off going to Ishgard until a later date and will continue travelling around the lower parts of Eorzea. [align=center]______________________________________________________________________________________[/align] [align=center]Housing Situation[/align] We can honestly say we're extremely close to being able to afford a medium house once patch 3.3 comes around. Close as in...about 2-3m close. Should we be too slow to find a medium house once the servers open back up with the patch, we still have more than enough gil saved up for a small. HOPEFULLY, they don't decide to bump up the prices even more with the release of new wards.
