I have a constant fear of how others will feel when it comes to the characters that I make. I used to enjoy having chaotic aligned characters, until someone decided they want to mix IC and OOC and created a huge mess which sorta turned me away from RP for a long time until coming to FF. Since then, I've mostly made lawful/neutral characters so that doesn't happen again. < __ > I also have a tendency of worrying about what other people think while RP'ing with them. It feels this way more so when our characters are just having a bit of chit chat..like "oh noooo, I'm being boring, my character is boring, they're getting bored time to wrap this up byebye D:" Lastly, I worry that my characters are a bit too 'convenient' most of the time. I'm not the type of person to take huge roles and prefer being some sort of support. For example, my current character is a retainer/work partner of another character. I also try not to give them too many skills as well in fear that my character would get called out as a mary-sue. tl;dr - I worry too much about what other people think while RPing.

In that case, allow us to assist you! [/align] IC We are Starfall Trading Co.! A travelling trading company originally based in Ishgard. Having moved down South to Gridania and eventually to the Goblet, we wish to offer our goods and services to those who are in need of them. Every now and then, Starfall will embark on an adventure to different parts of Eorzea to both collect a certain area's native materials and sell or deliver said materials once we head back into town! Currently, we are in the process of fixing up our shop so that we may eventually open up to the public. However, we are still accepting orders and performing special jobs on the side. OOC We are a Role-playing Free Company whose content is primarily based off of exploration and mercantile. We aim to create a friendly community for those whose characters enjoy, or would like to have a go with the life of a frequently traveling trading company. Though we may be better suited for characters with a mercantile background, Starfall Trading Co. accepts all walks of life. With a shop, a tavern, and a gathering crew in the works, there are plenty of opportunities for employment. We also host IC meetings to reflect on current FC events and to get a bit of an idea on every character's wants and needs so we can build on their own personal stories. It should also go into mentioning that we primarily function in US Eastern time. Additionally, we often wander the roads less traveled with our events (within reason). So even if we spend most of our time laying around the company building, we also spend a good chunk of time on the road. Lastly, being a trading company, obtaining materials, making delivieries, and selling our wares to others is something definitely not foreign to us. Should you or your company/group be in need of our services, be it a merchant stand for a festival, repairs, etc. You can definitely count on us! We are located in Ward 9, Plot 4, The Goblet and will be more than happy to assist. We also have a linkshell available for those already in a Free Company who would like to get involved with our events, wish to arrange some RP, or join us on our adventures. Thank you guys so much! I've been a bit worried about the idea - but now I feel a bit more confident about it, lol.

So after having RPed as a Miqo for some time, I've decided to make the switch over towards Au Ra - mainly because I kinda enjoy their little nomadic tribal style. Now, I've been trying to flesh this character's backstory out for a little while now..I've even asked some other people of their input and they were a bit stumped. So here's the question: Would it be possible for a Xaela child to live within Doma? As in living and growing up with a Doman family before the whole Garlean drama? Being my little lizard lady is in the Tumet tribe, I had originally planned that she 'failed' her trial by getting lost while returning to her tribe - eventually resulting in her being taken in and raised to adulthood by a more civilized Doman family before being shipped off to Eorzea. I just wanted to know if it was possible. I thought it would be...a bit boring to just stick with the tribe the whole time. I'm also open to other suggestions, as well. Thank you!

Because I'm extremely horrible with introductions, I'm just gonna go along with the template. owo" --MMORPG background Runescape and Mabinogi --RP experience LOOOONG ago, around 8-9 years ago, I was once a forum RP person participating in the various roleplay threads people used to post every now and then. When I finally found my own little group of friends, we've split off and started our own little RP story..this lasted for about 5-6 years.. Eventually, MMORPGs came into my life and I had started RPing with the characters I've made. And now, having discovered the wonderful world of FFXIV only about a month ago, I've decided to give it a shot here...Managed to find an FC as well! So that's a start, I guess. --Character ideas/info At the moment, I'm roleplaying a Miqo'te Culinarian..though being new to the world of FFXIV and sorta unfamiliar with the lore, I'm still working on her. However, I'm looking into molding the story of my past RP character with my group of friends into the character I'm playing on FFXIV...I'm just hoping it turns out alright. --How did you learn about the coalition? I used to be on Mateus server, but having heard of an extremely lively RP community on Balmung, I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to transfer servers...and after using the power of google to look for RP groups on Balmung, this site came up! --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? I'm thinking medium, possibly. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc) I like doing artsy stuff...well, attempting to do artsy stuff. My profile pic is an example, I guess.
