Hello and welcome to the Gilgamesh Community! I'm Althena from Black Sun Academy and many within our Free Company are great with answering questions if you ever see any of us running around. One of the ways to get yourself implemented into the RP community is to attend the events. This Saturday there is a Tavern Night being hosted by the Echo Knights like they do every month. There is always a great turn out and RP to be found. So I would definitely suggest going there. If you aren't up to level by that point go ahead and ask someone for help getting there. I'm sure that people will be happy to help.

Apologies everyone! Seems that we had a little mishap with the scehduling. We will be moving our event one week from the original to make it possible for people to make it in such short notice! The event will now take place February 26th. All items depicting the date will be updated.

Last I heard when it came to Personal Housing they said it would be released six months after Free Company Housing and that it would be significantly cheaper than that of Free Company Housing. From what I understand there will be S/M/L sizes but they do not have a design for it or are still in the planning stages. Personal Housing also depended on the success of Free Company Housing and how many were bought to see if it would be a good idea to implement into the game. Seeing how well Free Company Housing is going over they will be implementing it.

Black Sun Academy is going to be holding a fund raiser to gather funding for our Free Company Housing on February 19th. This Housing being turned into our actual Academy building. We will be hosting our very own Date Auction! In this Auction we will putting our members up on the Auction block and you will be bidding your gil for one date with this person! We are auctioning off one night to spend time with one of our members or any of the volunteers that are wanting to help us gain the funds for our building. This is a fun opportunity for everyone to come and have fun and get to know new characters! We are not auctioning off ERP. By no means will your character own the character that is bought. I personally have played off that in the storyline, it tells of an adventurer who was accepted to be a White Mage. That this opened up the ability for the Seedseers to pick from those in the Conjury Guild to learn Succor and to expand the White Mages of old for the newer times and the new Era. But that is just me. I felt it was more open to allowing people to RP the class. It would still require being chosen and hard work to gain recognition as well.

As for my Miqo'te she has a fairly normal speech pattern but she does growl and isn't afraid to snarl at you if she's really pissed off. She tries not to purr but there are times when she is caught off guard. However, I will play purring off in both her being pleased and if she is in pain. (Yes, cats do do this.) Miqo'te are known to have a different way of vocalizing because they have hisses and spitting in their speech pattern and so she knows there is a hiss to her name but she is fine with how others pronounce it. Her ears and tail are very expressive and I usually watch my own cats and their own expressions to figure out what it is that I should use. I am mostly active with the ears. I figure fingernails are just fingernails but perhaps a little stronger. As for catnip... my FC made a connection of mint to catnip and so she does react to it when it is nearby despite trying her best to act like it isn't doing anything. I can't remember what connection we made with mint and catnip but I think that it is in the same family?

Black Sun Trading is still active on Gilgamesh

I dragged most of my company with me and we had quite a bit of fun! Though, all of us were terrible mystery solvers!

I will say first, I did not read the rest of the posts. But I have an answer to the question at hand! It isn't that playing a good guy is boring. I love playing the good guy personally because the good guy has many trials to overcome and most of all have many personal challenges to overcome with each enemy they face. It isn't that it is boring at all but more so it is more challenging. A bad guy or villain is actually quite simple to play. You do things for your own good. For power or control. This can also extend to the "neutral" characters who truly only are out for self gain but can be seen as villains because it could affect a community negatively as a whole. A good guy must continue to remain true to themselves and their morals. Where it would be so simple to kill the opposition, someone who is Good would not as they would show mercy. They would give them a second, third, or even fourth chance. They must continue to keep to the moral compass or even overcome their own weaknesses to continue to do for the greater good. This is by all means, much more difficult to achieve that if you play a villain. Thus, there is a harder time to keep to a characters morals because there is more opposition. You'll find more villains in an RP world than you will heroes.

BST would be very much interested in the Bazaar and we'll get our crafters and workers ready for it! Also, BST is hoping to host an event every month! What it will be is to be announced. Look forward to an announcement on our October event on the forums!

Hello. I'm actually new to FFXIV:ARR and hoping to get myself and the others I am coming with into the roleplay community and one question that comes up often with us is ages. Now, Hyur I know is simple but I did read that both Elezen and Lalafell have a longer lifespan than a Hyur. What of Miqo'te? Or what of Roegydn? I haven't been able to find much more than that and I was wondering if this had been established anywhere in the past?
