Regarding Sharlayan:

I think that, regarding the Archer quest line, the Wildwood Elezen simply have contempt for anyone trying to follow "their" ways and traditions. Silvairre at least displays that Wildwood elitism.

I'm also throwing my support behind Gilgamesh or Balmung. Most players (especially RPers) play at abnormal hours. If you're in it for the RP, that's the way to go.

The 1 week Phase 4 doesn't really surprise me. They're gonna have to have a debug period after Sunday, that could possibly last until the 21st or so. Then the last bit of July would be Phase 4, then another debug/stability assurance. Then whenever early access is, followed by launch. I am VERY excited that arcanist will be available though. My prayers have been answered!

Oh my god you sound EXACTLY like me. Still living with mom and dad, I didn't drive until this past April (right before I turned 21). AND I'm a Humane Society volunteer and I'm leaving in 10 minutes to go clean and socialize cats, followed by dog walking. Please tell me you're from New York and moved to Florida and I swear I'll have a sibling. :moogle:

Not lore breaking that I can tell. It will sound better once you flesh it out; I felt the same way originally. One thing you might want to ask is what event drove your character to finally leave the Empire? Most people don't just up and leave anywhere for no good reason. Especially somewhere like the Empire that's incredibly militaristic and doesn't take kindly to deserters.

Heh, 'alpha' is a misnomer. You notice how we make the men fight to prove they're good enough? Seeker women don't have to prove a thing. We're the real alphas here! 8-) Well when you put it that way, it almost makes me want to swap sides. I picture a bunch of Seeker females sitting in a small coliseum-like structure, sipping drinks and watching men fight.

If you were a chloromancer/mystic lover, then you'd probably be interested in going the arcanist > scholar route. I think summoner is meant to be more DPS-y, while scholar is more support-y.

Well if you ask ME, I feel the Seeker culture is quite primitive. Ten or more females to one 'alpha' male? Please. -flicks Keeper ears- (No, but really, with the exception of those who project a certain dislike because of their individual personalities, there's not really any clan hostility. Let's all just get along! :moogle: )

I am happy to announce that while my main will be (another) Keeper female, my alt will be the ever popular female Roegadyn. I was finally able to make one I liked, 6 fulms 9 ilms and attractive to boot!

The lack of Keeper lore is infuriating. :frustrated: As for my primary alt, I was gonna roll up a Sea Wolf female. I got to thinking about Ishgard and dragoons, and I need more info on Ishgard to see if that would be plausible. Also, I don't know -jack- about Sharlayan.

I haven't found a -lot- of lore on anything, cities, races, or otherwise. Here's to hoping SE will dump lore on us before launch!

If you're referring to me, then I am touched. I quite like your character as well and I do agree that Savarah would probably get along well with W'Dekan. Makes me almost dread tomorrow when I either tweak him or scrap him (for an Elezen that would be similar, but unique in his own way). We shall see the outcome tomorrow. Don't forget to add Xerek and Shuck to your list of "overachievers". Xerek's In a child's eyes is a fantastic read and Shuck's Superpositions is another amazing read. I know exactly what you're going through, though. I hope to join that list of "overachievers" one day, myself. I guess only time will tell. Don't even MENTION Xerek's post to me. I read that like 3 times before I decided to close the window and get some of my exam review done. I was so amazed at how he wrote it and so pissed at myself for how crap my writing has become. ((Same here, and at the mention of the ocean my only thought was "Oh $#!^ Sin!". Going to be following this definitely.)) The "this is my story" feel, the ocean and the Calamity did it for me. I thought of Sin at Kilika and storming that one beach (can't remember which, maybe around Mushroom Rock Road).
