Lynea loves eggs. Any sort of egg recipe she will be right there with the fork in hand ready to devour it gleefully. Makes it really easy to get her gifts. LOL

Hey another WoW vet! Welcome to Balmung, you have definitely come to the right place to meet people! I know what you mean about being new-ish. I'm in a similar boat as you and only recently have gotten the time to really get any characters close to Heavensward content. I would definitely be interested! My main is a DPS, but I do have a baby tank and a baby healer that I'm starting to level. Since I've never done either class in any MMO before I'm really nervous about doing duty finders with them when I get to that point and I would be very willing to help other baby tanks and healers run through things with my DPS.

Lynea would most certainly have all fighting types, with a Lucario as her main and a Pancham just because it's cute. It would work out well, she likes to hit things, they like to hit things. All of it would be a win win. She'd probably be a traveling trainer or work at one of the gyms, just not as a leader.

Yes, all of those questions and so many more!! I really hope the lore book does cover some things. Though I fear it might be too much to hope that it would touch this as I've been burned by lore books before. I get the feeling though that scale patterns and where they grow in are genetic within a family and or tribe. Maybe like how people grow hair differently? It could be too since you made the point about soft and leathery vs chitinous that it could again be like people's hair where some people have really thin hair and others have crazy thick hair.

I don't know if this has been brought up before, I can't find anything here about it and the official forum is blocked on the network I'm on. But, I've been working on the background of my Au Ra girl a bit doing one of those giant questionnaires at the question came up about hygiene. So it occurred to me, would Au Ra have a special skin care routine to take care of their scales? In doing some quick google searches it would seem to me like their scales are probably more like that of a crocodile than a iguana or something like. Alligators and crocodiles shed individual scales and as they grow older the scales are replaced with bigger, thicker ones. But often times the alligator/crocodile needs to have assistance with the scale like rubbing against a rock or tree to loosen it. Do Au Ra shed their scales the same way? Is it something they need help with? Could Au Ra scale grooming parlors start to be a thing in Ul'dah and the other major cities as the population of Au Ra goes up? I'm really curious if anyone else has thought about this or has any other ideas about it.

Hey welcome back! I've also got an Au'ra girl who can maybe show yours around sometime. She's been in Eorzea a while and gotten over most of the culture shock but hasn't really made many friends. She's not a botanist but she does love pretty things like flowers.

I don't take criticism well, especially when it's out out there for all the party to see. It stems from WoW days when I would run a random and every aspect of what I would do would be questioned and I'd be told how I 'should' be doing things by random strangers who don't understand that people have different play styles. Admittedly I'm still fairly new to FFXIV, I don't have any kids at 60 yet so I don't know everything about my class and I'm learning. But don't call me out in front of people in the middle of a dungeon for something I should or should not be doing. 9 times out of 10, I won't do said thing just to spite you. In RP terms, I would love to RP more but I am 100% legit terrible at making friends. All of the people I currently know in game know me through my fiance and I've not been able to make any friends on my own let alone find people to RP with. I never want to 'bother' people so I chicken out of messaging people here and in game.

I don't belong to an FC either, but I hope that you're able to find one for yourself. You seem like you've got a good attitude towards playing and RPing.
