After an, admittingly foolish plan, took place Arnvidar was taken captive willingly. Legatus Remus taking him prisoner. In exchange for a lack of an all out assault, murder, and chaos all around Remus offered them a contest of sorts to earn the boy back. And so they did exactly so. All the while the Legatus watched and studied the group, wondering why Arnvidar had put faith in these people over any other. A more traditional standing military even. Remus finally got his answer. They demolished the challenges with ease, each one allowing a different member of Norvalla to open their skills up. After finally rescuing the two, Remus hold true to his word and allowed them to go free... but not before he shot Doctor Titus dead, ending the project forever...

The guardsmen at the location had been doing around the clock guard duty protecting the Twelveswood from various intruders as well as vigilantly staying observant of strange noises that were occurring on a nightly basis for over a weeks time. Exhausted and growing sloppy Norvalla was hired to alleviate the guards by taking a shift for an evening to keep vigilance over the shroud just North East of Fallgourd Float. Norvalla had a great showing for something that appeared to be a relevantly easy task. So they split up into 4 teams and spread throughout the outpost to ensure they would be able to watch every angle they could. The teams were as follows: Fjola Eryut worked alongside Malachar to the South side of the Outpost. Sarah Muril worked alongside Shar Dotharl to the west just outside the Outpost. Llanore Aldavaul worked alongside Soroix Proctie along the rampart to the west. Ryslo Suramlo worked alongside Noir Ackerman & E'tihl Tia to the East. These teams would throughout the night identify movement and heard the eerie sounds of an echoed wail that moved about the shadows on which the branches of the woven canopy casted. Only the large pallid glow of the moon over head provided them any means of sight. One after another starting from the west, moving along the south and finally to the east they each identified a unique characteristic of what was prowling about. It was at the east where the attack was sprung and a large Ahriman appeared ravenous and hungry it did not hesitate with its aggression. Slowly the entire group moved toward the direction of the conflict with a second Ahriman revealing itself behind Malachar's group. With two of these winged monstrosities present everyone moved in to engage. The Combat was long but thankfully the group managed to fight these creatures back and eliminate the threat.

We have now added a Sanctum of the Twelve Prayer Room to our Free Company. Soon we will be adding a Medical Ward!

Here is our most recent RP Sample - Game Mastered By Ryslo Suramlo Member Attendance Fjola Eryut Sehra Muril Linelle Proctie Lucas Kyros Noir Ackerman Arnvidar Bekker Llanore Aldavaul Sulwyn Bakuro Hearing the call for action over the linkshell members of Norvalla gathered up at the Shroud where they would meet up with Ryslo Suramlo to see about handling a task that involved the sightings of corrupted elements that have been causing havoc within a very specific area of the shroud. It was a relatively simple task laid out before them and one that had very specific and forward details on how to handle it. The members would lay out a trap and lay low waiting patiently to see if they could gain an element (no pun intended) of surprise over the culprits (the corrupted Elements). So the members broke themselves up into smaller groups hiding among the tall grass and brush located in the general area. Each member making their figure and form as small as they could keeping to the shadows and to the natural cover that was given to them. While they laid low the members spoke softly over the pearl as the cover of night protected them mostly but seem to also provide assistance to the identification of the corrupted aetherial forms of the energy based beings that are the elements. Llanore and Arnivdar had notice them moving about first along a western ridge and soon Noir, Lucas and Sulwyn had made note that they had seen movement to the north not to longer after the previous sighting. Confirming this Fjola would denote clear enough confirmation that the sightings are / had moved to the north. They were moving on the group unknowingly to them (The elements), however poor Llanore was unable to stay well hidden as the elementals charged her position and attacked. This sudden engagement threw Llanore off and she had taken serious enough injures on the opening volley. Soon Sehra and Linelle along with those proficient in melee stances engaged the elemental forces as a battle commenced. The corruption of these elemental beings must have weakened them rather them empowering as they combat would be swift enough that no further injuries to the group (other then Sehra having taken some damage from one of them) would be done. As the elements fell in combat (knocked out in a sense) the corruption faded and combat would end. The members of Norvalla took a moment to speak with each other before heading back out having achieved their task. Ryslo would hang back and inform the conjurer's guild of the three entites left behind so rituals could commence to not only appease the elements of the force but to ensure the wounded elements would be restored to their proper state.

We are currently on Phase One of the Norvalla Project! We are excited to break down our growth pattern into what we have (2 phases!) The first phase is the most important as it will help us establish a foundation on which we can stand. Plus its always important to build a core fundamental group on which you can expand, grow and ensure like minded individuals (not zombies!) are working together to have (what is most important) fun! So we'll be using an RP system, Building Events both PVE and RP and Recruiting. When we get to a certain member count and activity percentage we will move onto Phase Two which will invoke more concepts and increase RP events. We will be focusing too on character story arcs (Your personal stories) so get them up on our calendar and let people join you on your own story while we build - and Join others too!

We here at Norvalla are still growing! We have been hosting atleast one RP event a week up until recently (This post) and have plans to extend our events now from 1 RP event to 1 RP event and 1 PvE Event. We do believe that RP communities still should be invested in the game and still should enjoy the experience of gearing up, doing seasonal events, helping one and another with map runs, gathering Ponies, birds and doggies and so forth. We have recruited a few new members over the last few days and we warmly welcome them to our home! We do have a planned event for next week which embarks upon our Second Chapter of our First Season of our FC's Story. We here at Norvalla have gone through a significant change! One that some may view as negative but we here at Norvalla we have always been about Open World RP, Creation of character stories, Adventure and not hiding away in our free company day in and day out. We also believe in transparency and being open about the things that go on within our home as its important people know exactly what they are getting into. Some may think this is a foolish way to recruit being so honest but not me. We had a recent exodus of folks who did not agree with the direction of our company. Our direction has always been this: Open World RP Adventures Charitable Work Pen and Paper-like System Unique Roll System (Uses Success / Failures rather then a flat d100). Norvalla was born from another Free Company which had existed for about a month prior. It was not going anywhere and when Norvalla was created from a previous 'birth' it started to see members join, events created and structure built. Individuals did not agree with this and thus we had our exodus. There were other issue's but those I'll keep in the past. If you join you will be joining a Free Company in the process of rebuilding. Joining a Free Company at the ground level is such an awesome opportunity to find yourself to be apart of something great and a great chance for you to make it something you want to be a part of! We also are introducing a meaningful way for 'New Characters' to find a path as well in our home with the introduction of our Academy. The Academy helps provide skills, knowledge and so forth through field examinations, studies and what not helping lead them into doing the labors that more 'experienced characters' will do from the get go. This allows everyone who joins us a chance to make a name for themselves as well as focus on the creation, development and building of their new character providing them ways to garnish experience.

We are super excited to announce our Second part of our Prelude to Season 1 of our Free Company's Storyline has gone off without a hitch! We had a total of 9 members join us on our journey as we investigated a mission Brass Blades Squad in Pearl Lane. It was a great test to our system and it seems to have gone off well allowing our members to engage the world around them, obtain information and share what they wanted and how they wanted. We are definitely looking forward to this Friday as we delve finally into Chapter 1 of Season 1!

Welcome to Norvalla! We have grown some since we've last posted and we super excited to really start pulling back the skin so-to-speak on the first event that'll chart our story as a FC. If your interested in engaging us from the ground up now is the best opportunity to meet other like minded individuals who wish to engage the world as it is intended and not hide behind the doors of some Inn or Tavern. TO get their weapons used, their wits sharpened and their skills honed!

@Darshendros the Eternal Your solid and I'd recommend you 10/10 no sweat (I mean how can I not one Elezen to the Next!). Also I understand there are a lot of Free Companies out there and many with rich histories but we do promise a unique experience one that will enrich our members with a deep growing storyline that will peel back the layer's of the world around us. We do work in accordance to the Main Storyline, however we never interact directly with that Main Storyarc that the Warrior of light walks. We currently after a week of Shadowbringers being out plan to deal with the 'Thinning' of Aether and contending against a Mysterious force that works in tandem with the forces that are effecting the world (but on a much smaller scale). Our Unique Pen and Paper System is extremely forgiving and caters strongly to RP and Storytelling. The dice in our system work based on a Success and Failure ratio rather then a straight numerical one. New members and Old members do not have massive gaps between them and our abilities in our system are designed to allow you to customize your play the way your character is built. CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT AN APPLICATION Our Community is being created to bring to life a living, breathing and interactive story telling experience where each player will have moments where they are highlighted and moments where everyone is at center stage. Where you feel engaged immediately with the community and where you can learn, develop and grow within the lore that Square Enix has provided us. Not new to the lore? Wonderful as you grow in our community through progression, meaningful rp encounters and involvement you will be able to help shape the future of our community by hosting varying events of both Adventure and Training. Where did Oracles of Empyrean get their Concept? So we intend to run this very akin to how a Jedi or Sith Guild would in a Starwars game except we will be utilizing the Mythos of Final Fantasy, Eorzea and Othard. New members will be assigned to 'Core Groups' which will help them grow, develope and learn the methods of the Oracles and when they achieve the rank of Acolyte they'll be assigned to a specific Oracle. They will host individual training sessions / missions for their Acolyte and record the encounters on our site. Each Sunday we will calculate your attendance and give out Skill Points on which you can spend to grow your character - Eventually your character will achieve one final rank before making it to Oracle on which they'll be faced with Five Trials. These Trials will determine whether or not your character (RP Method) is ready to become a full fledged Oracle on which they can then help foster the future as the Oracle that had been responsible for their care had. Why all these steps? Ranks are important but story is far more important to us. This method allows us to help keep people on the same footing, ensure standards are met along the way and that everyone is treated the same. We want people to feel connected to others and we want this legacy to be built. As you rank up you'll be highlighted by attending beautiful ceremonies and as you grow through all these methods your character too becomes an ambassador to our home. In the end we want to make sure we can tell a story and one that we all can be proud to retell. Memories are far more important to us and the trip we take then whos on top and whos on bottom. Initiate 2 week Trial Period - Assigned a Squad This rank is our starter position within our organization. Those coming on board will be given a in character meet up prior to being invited to get that in character connection started. Next once invited they’ll assigned a Squad. Squads are led by an Oracle. In these squads they’ll be able to go on small missions (small events) doing anything from escorting to hunting. General good work which will build the immersion of the world up while building connections with your fellow squad mates. After two weeks of activity you will be promoted to Acolyte. A sign you are a full member with our company at that point. Acolyte Full member rank - Continue progression As an Acolyte you will be still attending squad events but also allowed to attend the free companies main story events as well. You will continue to work on building a connection with your fellow squad mates. This rank is all about charting your path, building further bonds with your free company mates and finding your niche among the collective. Once you acquire a cumulative of 60 skill points you will be eligible for promotion. Adept Veteran Member- Undergo Trials - Path to Oracle As an Adept you will be experienced enough to finally undergo a set of five trials. These trials will make sure (in character) your ready to lead your own squad or at least make sure your ready to bare the title of Oracle. You’ll still attend squad events, free company events and as said the special trial events. Trial of Knowledge - an event will be organized to introduce some final fantasy lore into your characters journey. These events will reflect the past but they don’t necessarily have to recite lore simply reflect it. Perhaps journeying through some old ruins, walking a path well traveled or even visiting a place where the Oracles had treaded before. Trial of Self - by this point enough should be known about your character that a small event can be held where your character squares off against something that haunts them, some unfinished business or perhaps just dealing with an issue that had come up prior. This trial is very focused on you the player, a small event with you as the star. Trial of leadership - you’ll take point during a mission. You will be assigned the leader a night, making decisions and orchestrating others. Success or failure this trial is meant to give you as a character and player insight on the day to day of an Oracle. Trial of communication - more of an ooc event. You’ll get together with your Oracle and they’ll go over the procedures that they need to do weekly to best arm and prepare you for the next stage. Showing you the forums from their perspective, going over mission requests and logging attendance. Very important trial to arm you with needed knowledge. Trial of the Empyrean - the last trial. This is an event that will be organized anytime there is someone ready to take this trial by an Empyrean. Your Oracle and Yourself will wear for this event special robes created by the organization to undergo a ceremony that is special to you and your Oracle. A final farewell for the Oracle and their squad member as you will be granted at the end of this trial the rites to be promoted to Oracle. A separate promotion ceremony will be held in front of everyone to honor the moment. Oracle Squadleader - Mentor Rank Oracles are the free companies mentors. They lead squads, run small squad missions and record attendance. They are in charge of small groups but also a part of the governing body of the organization as they will be invited to meet with the Empyreans twice a month to go over progress, present ideas and influence in character direction for the oracles labor. They are also responsible for providing information about members (how they are progressing and so forth). This is a vital role as we will only open recruitment based on how many Active Oracles we have and how active their members are. They are also important as they work with other squads to ensure they have cooperation being bred and making sure if one of their members can attend an event they are hosting that week that they convey to another Oracle if they can take said individual for their day of training that week as to ensure everyone has ample opportunity. It’s part of the reason a squad will only ever comprise of 4 slots (that includes the Oracle). Oracles are invited to tough events every other week that’ll be hosted by the Empyreans as this is meant to tether the Oracles with the Empyreans. Plus important too as the Oracles are tethered to their squads. Very important this cycle as it keeps everyone connected. Empyrean Member of the conclave - Administrators Empyreans work for the collective not the other way around. What do we mean by this? They strive to crest custom content for the free company - they work on recruitments, interviews, trials, Oracle missions, and the Main story event. They also run website administration and discord. Also responsible for running a squad and following the same guidelines as previous ranks. While each Empyrean is responsible for all that has been noted including administration of peer to peer issues the following are what each Empyrean will be focused in.
