Thought I'd share some of my own creations - Though not all that great why make things if not to share =). Anyways I figured I'd start this thread with memories of FFXI.

Wanted to Share our Most Recent Adventures depicted in a more RP Friendly Format! Please Enjoy!

Tank proceeds to pull large groups. Healer (me) more then OK with this. Tank after First Boss proceeds to pull all the groups again but STOPS Short suddenly of a group only 6 - 12 falm's away! Heal (me) Accidently gets agro because I over run the Tank. Group proceeds to kill all the mobs, No one dies and mobs are dead. Tank proceeds to call the Healer Out (me) out telling me I shouldn't pull I am not a tank. Healer (me) responds, "It was an accident as I over ran you as you immediately stopped without warning." Tank responds, "I was distracted so I stopped short, Still you really shouldn't have pulled. You are not a Tank." Healer (Me), "I am sorry then I'll make sure to fine tune my ability to read minds and to increase my reaction time so I can stop before you decide to stop. My bad! Also I'll make sure someone die's next time so you can properly rant on!" Tank no response and we finish the dungeon. I was a bit snarky, but mistakes happen. The tank had a pattern and was pulling everything.. I just hate being told I should be able to read someone's motives and be blamed for doing something when the mistake doesn't even end in our group wiping. Note: We agreed to pull big, So Typically as a healer I am literally on the Knights rear so I can react properly.

Just giving this a good ol' bump. I got a single response so far and can't wait to actually get a chance to RP with that individual but I'll put it out there once more to see if I can get a few more too. Always nice to make buddies!

The group I run with had a series of RP events in Othard and it was really fun to play ignorant to the world around me even though I've done my research out of character. First off they use chopsticks! My character fumbled, felt confused and really was wondering why he was being asked to use sticks to eat his food. Also the first time he saw a Au'ra (Being raised in Ishgard before the Calamity) he thought they were 'Dragon People' and had a great deal of reservations about them and their origins which I know OOCLY they aren't but it was fun to play up the ignorance as my character should be ignorant. Ishgard was cut off from Eorzea for over a century and had very little interactions with the outside world. Plus its fun to play up other ignorance's too. My character is also a Priest and Naive. So I understand the frustrations of people running to correct you immediately and the frustrations of having to explain that you DO know that OOCLY but my character would.. I've had to do that myself on more then one occasion.

I have in the last two years never thought I'd post here seeking to make connections, however I would like to take the chance of meeting individuals who's characters have a love for the twelve just like my own. Atheism seem's to be a very common theme among characters so finding individuals that share a common interest in faith is a rather difficult task to say the least. Though I am not saying my character doesn't have friendship. In fact he has made plenty of companions and kinship's specifically with those of the Order he runs. Just looking for a few individuals outside my FC that I can make a connection with to maybe get with from time to time and do some 'faith' based RP. The following is information about my character: Ryslo Suramlo Consider's himself a Priest of the Twelve. Was once solely dedicated to the Fury, Halone. Parents Abandoned him (as an infant, Cradled in a Woven Basket) at the Gates of Ishgard over forty years before the Calamity. Living in Ishgard his entire life he was taken in by the Clergy of Halone where he would be raised and brought into the Faith. Is a Dunesfolk Ethnically. Is nearing fifty years of age. Lead's a Order Known as the Knights of Eorzea Obligations to that Order do come First. Loves the Outdoors; Nature is a Second Home. Practiced Conjurer but believes strongly in the usage of natural remedies. Loves Botany. Seeking Friendship. Possibly seeking companionship (Not actively; I strongly believe that should happen naturally through the RP) Someone who will accept those he is loyal to (His FC Mates). Was once engaged to Keelindsey Kraye, Her character was lost at sea on a boating trip from Eorzea to Othard. (Her Player moved to a different game ;_;) If this interests you then awesome! If not thats OK too! Just trying to extend my RP circle a bit and looking for someone and other's who will understand that my Obligations to my FC will come first and any free time I have I'd love to use to getting to know others. I do not roleplay a Xaela character myself, but I do frequently engage Xaela toons. My character hails from Ishgard (long long story) and HAD some prejudices against them but not for the 'voidy' stuff. I always assumed the first time an Ishgardian saw a Xaela it would have been a misleading experience. You look upon them and see Dragonlike Qualities which would terrify a person who had just recently been introduced to the larger part of Eorzea. It's easy to forget that some of our toons have never met a Xaela before and for mine he was walled off until after the Archbishops (spoiler) happened. He left and found himself among varying people of all shapes, sizes and cultures. He now knows better and has plenty of Xaela friends and most of those bonds come directly from the Order of Knight's my character leads. I guess if people are rping like my character had, they just need to meet Xaela who will introduce themselves and fight against the prejudice with being open minded to them and understanding that they are 'unique' in a place where most people hardly ran into a Xaela until just recently (We got to remember Xaela are fairly new to most Eorzeans). Just a thought though.. I dont think you can change other character's RP because thats how their IC is dealing with it. So deal with it ICly like most of us deal with it OOCly. Educate, don't reciprocate their hate. I think its fair to assume there would be a great deal of misunderstanding about Xaela; So it will take Xaela's ICLY to help form the image they want for their species. Just like in real life; My Hero Cesar Chavez fought against oppression of land owners who owned vineyards out in California and made a stance showing that Mexican worker's aren't lazy and work long and hard hours. He fought for fair wages and never once called out the word Racist. He fought back, showed dignity and eventually won. There is still stigma's against Mexican-American's (I am Mexican-American) and the only thing you can do is just try to understand why someone dislikes you because of 'what you are' and try to get through to them without putting them on the defensive. Its HARD, its not easy but its the best defense against that kind of behavior.

Not sure where else to share this but this is just something small our community does at the end of a long series of RP's. Thought I'd share it since we take pride in these little things, may be the only ones but worth a share (Its all RP related scenes except for a few special scenes that took some setup).

Sometimes the greatest adventurer's in life and in this silly virtual space is taking the plunge into the unknown. You may find yourself surrounded by many great surprises, good friends and possibly even more joyous occasions by just taking that chance and putting yourself out there (on which you've already done!). Plus I wouldn't worry to much about what people think but rather watch how they engage you. Typing speed aside, you'll find a lot of roleplayer's here are also equally as patient. I think that's the biggest draw to an RP focused Hub, most of us are ambassador's to slow and easy because we enjoy a good story.
