SM Nick Posted May 2, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2015 This is mainly for character development on both ends, yours and mine. Oka is obsessed with Lalafells and seeks therapy to be rid of said obsession. Anyone can do except Lalas. EDIT: Due to a recent Fantasia, I now play a female Au Ra kunoichi, tentatively named Oka. Sorry for those that were interested in Solis. I needed a fresh start for HW and my recent behavior. For those that rather want Solis, I MIGHT consider making an alt, but I only want to stay focused on one character. Here's some info about her: Suiren Waterflower is a Raen Au Ra that originated from the nation of Doma, born in the tall mountains. Suiren grew up with a curiosity of the outside world, and its wonders, having been told stories from her tribe's adventurer. She is not like other Raen who prefer to stay in solitude back in the mountains; Instead she wishes to adventure and discover new wonders and lands. And so, at age 16, she has set out to Eorzea after hearing of it from the tribe adventurer, armed with the training of a kunoichi passed down through her tribe's elders, mostly her parents. Her father has taught her the use of weapons and the ways of the shinobi, earning her proficiency in dual daggers amongst other arms, and from her mother came the knowledge of blending in and the arts of the kunoichi, including the ways of the bedroom. The knowledge has molded Suiren into a dangerous but friendly kunoichi that is optimistic to the world, Eorzea included, and has a conscientious integrity. She is partially impulsive, but controls herself and thinks of what she says in consideration of others. She's cautious as she does not know Eorzea that well, but is flexible and is easy at adapting. She has a warm affinity which allows her to be altruistic and empathic towards others. She is modest and has an agreeable comportment, allowing her to be humorous, and the kind of humor she provides is mostly slapstick since she is inexperienced as an adventurer and a newcomer to Eorzea. She is secretive in her disclosure, preferring to only reveal her most personal tidbits it to those she holds dear. Habits include humming, daydreaming, foot tapping, and singing among other oddities. She likes to play the koto, does calligraphy, acrobatics, acting, singing, and drinking sake. She also has anxiety due to being in an exotic place, and she has a phobia of insects. Suiren is heterosexual, and she carries out a seductive style. She is modest and has moderate openness to experiences. She has medium promiscuousness, and her tastes include massaging, and secretly bondage. She prays to the Doman kami, which are similar to the Twelve, and is completely tolerant of them, even choosing Oschon as her guardian in Eorzea. Also she is obsessed with Lalafells and is prone to hugging them like crazy. And she has recently acquired a chocolate addiction too. In Eorzea, she goes by the alias of Oka to protect herself. SM Nick Posted May 2, 2015 Author Share #2 Posted May 2, 2015 For those of you who want information on Solis: "In basic terms, Sol has the body of an adult, yet the mind and pure heart of a teen. He is super energetic and naïve to the realm of Eorzea that he has not seen before. He can be oblivious and not very bright at time, but when the time calls for it, he can become serious, hyper, and hot-blooded in the blink of an eye, determined to win the fight and protect his comrades against evil. More specifically, he has a pure-hearted demeanor and a hot-blooded personality. He's also hot-headed, preferring to charge into something without thinking things through, which more often than not gets him into trouble and bringing his friends along as well. He wishes to reunite with his father and to just have fun exploring and fighting. He will do anything to protect his friends, even sacrifice his own life if he must. He is very prone to anger and can get into comedic fits of rages over trivial things such as his apple being popped, although anger is serious when his friends and close ones are seriously hurt, sometimes even entering a tranquil rage focused at the one who hurt them. And also, he has trouble talking romantically with women, except those he is really close to." Link to comment

Blue Posted May 9, 2015 Share #8 Posted May 9, 2015 Call me a nostalgic, but in my own view of how an RPG story develops, a love story should always be something that happens, and not something that should be aimed at. I mean, look at all the old school RPG stories. You often times have to get to the END of the game for the hero and the heroine to even just kiss. True love is something that should develop through hardships and many meaningful moments spent together, whether you are the adventurous type or just the cosmopolitan citizen. I wouldn't rush things or force feelings to happen. Quick relationships are always kind of seen as poor anyway. There is much more into a couple that comes to be after months of troubles, chores, bickering, joy and sadness than into a couple that meets today and marries the month after (no offense to those who RPd marrying after just months of relationship, I do understand the hype of Eternal Bond, but Las Vegas style is just not my thing, /I/ would wait). Do as you want in the end, but I think you are just going to spoil yourself the fun of meeting many people and finally recognizing your special one when both you and he/she are truly ripe for it. 2 Link to comment

Reiner Dorn Posted May 9, 2015 Share #11 Posted May 9, 2015 Though nick, before the thread closes. Not a romantic interest, I will be inclined to meet Solis on Reiner, who is an Ala Mhigan Revolutionary. Would provide an interesting chance to see both sides. Link to comment

allgivenover Posted May 9, 2015 Share #15 Posted May 9, 2015 I can do that, but there's so many and I don't know if the lady has a man or not. In short I'm kinda afraid lol Who cares if she does? Could be good RP conflict. You being kind of afraid about it says to me that you might possibly take the relationship OOC. It's roleplay. Not a real relationship. Link to comment

Xenedra Posted May 9, 2015 Share #17 Posted May 9, 2015 You don't have to close the thread if you want to arrange your rp this way, it's totally your prerogative. I think in the long run it might be more fun to take that scary journey, though : 3. Link to comment

Merai the Vixen Posted May 9, 2015 Share #19 Posted May 9, 2015 Nick I think you should leave your thread open. It's perfectly valid to ask for a romantic interest, as sometimes the people you rp with may not have that interest at all. Plenty of people don't enjoy romantic/erotic roleplay, and some people enjoy it immensely. No harm in asking for someone who's interested in such things. And some folks don't have the time to commit to a long, drawn out, friendship turned courtship turned relationship. I wish we all did, but sometimes we just don't. 1 Link to comment

There's been a stigma towards romance in RP communities for the past few years; wanting to weed that circle out is more than fair for all parties involved. Still, you might be surprised. Vetiver ended up winning the heart of her previous love over another and though she's since lost her to death, it came with a lot of excellent character development. A mix of both may just be in order. :3 1 Link to comment
