Delilah Scythewood Posted May 10, 2015 Share #101 Posted May 10, 2015 Xelra: "Aren't you tired of being grumpy all the time?" "No." For Lili it's people who make comments about her bad parenting when it comes to her adopted son, Adokenai. It extends OOCly as well because Lili takes care of Ado a lot in the background per what myself and his player agreed too given our differing schedules and time differences (he's UK, I'm US). But some people decide that because they see him online or around by himself that she neglects him. It's an annoyance to myself and ESPECIALLY to my character since it doesn't hold true ICly. Also the fact people mistake Lili for being some young thing and she's in her mid thirties so they call her 'little one' or 'girl'. She glares at them for it. Link to comment
Chris Ganale Posted May 10, 2015 Share #102 Posted May 10, 2015 "Chao's a funny name for a miqo." "What tribe are you from?" "There's no miqo's in Doma!" "Don't touch that (magitek device/Allagan relic)! You don't know what you're messing with!" Link to comment
ArmachiA Posted May 11, 2015 Share #103 Posted May 11, 2015 "Have you ever tried not being shy?" "Just go talk to them, it's not that hard!" "You're very weird." "Armi, plants don't actually talk." Link to comment
Hammersmith Posted May 11, 2015 Share #104 Posted May 11, 2015 "He's right behind me isn't he?" Hammer enjoys looming. "I hope you choke on that (smoke of the day)" He also enjoys smoking like a chimney. "I don't think that's a good idea." It's a great idea. You're just squeamish to the point of uselessness. "Did you really just do that?" Yes. Are you blind? Link to comment
thesunalsorises Posted May 12, 2015 Share #105 Posted May 12, 2015 OOC: "Will you ERP with me?" Just because she's a courtesan that doesn't mean I ERP, and no I'm not obliged to do so. IC: "How much for the night?" - If you have to ask upfront then you probably can't afford her services. "Are you free this evening?" Probably not, she's extremely selective about her clients and it takes her more than a day to decide if wants to you to be a client or not. "What's a lady like you doing here?" She goes where she pleases. "You wouldn't understand/care." Just because she's not some sort of scholar doesn't mean she's totally ignorant. Link to comment
LadyRochester Posted May 12, 2015 Share #106 Posted May 12, 2015 "If magic is bad for you, why do you still practice it?" "Are you single?" "I'm actually touched by the void." *stares at breasts* "Hi." "Why do you read so much?" "Weren't you being courted by that bard?" "Weren't you being courted by that Elezen?" "Weren't you being courted by that masked miqo'te?" "Weren't you being courted by that--" Stop. "Your hair is weird." Link to comment

Kalooeh Posted May 12, 2015 Share #108 Posted May 12, 2015 Kal- "She'll bang anything that moves and probably some things that don't. She'll get distracted by something new soon enough" Basically comments claiming she's just a mindless nympho, because she flirts a lot and will occasionally sleep with people she just met but had fun talking to. For her if it happens it does, but she has more fun teasing people than actually doing anything with them and unless she really likes the person or they seem like someone who'd turn sex in to a kind of circus act she mostly finds it boring. Dheina- "Don't be such a baby" And related comments about her being sensitive and emotional. Quite a few people get annoyed with her and her crying/panicking easily. She gets comments from people often enough about her being stupid. Sam is pretty much one of those that tends to try to fly under the radar of most people and isnt really used to much for social interaction. Usually they're quiet until they figure out the situation they're in, or they observe more than interact, so not really anything they'd be tired of hearing from people right now. Other ones havn't really played enough to get certain comments from people that would irritate the, or gotten a strong grasp on what people would probably think and say about them. Link to comment

Zyrusticae Posted May 13, 2015 Share #112 Posted May 13, 2015 For Blue: "Can't say I really remember you. There's just so many of you Miqo'tes..." This has a little of OOC involved in the way it irritates me. It's just a comment that I don't find very natural and believable to be said. It'd be as if IRL someone told me they didn't remember me because there's just so many caucasians here in Italy. Who'd ever say that? Hipster RPers. Also a hilarious manifestation of (fictional) racism, but partly the blame goes to Squeenix for the weak character creation in this case. You can only deviate so far from the four given facial templates and the tiny selection of hairstyles. Link to comment

I mean, count the tan Seekers, the white-haired Duskwights and the shark-faced highlanders. Is it the character creator, or the fact that some races have overwhelmingly popular choices in some cases? No no no, don't misunderstand this. It's not "you all look the same", it's "there's so many of you". In a world where a certain race is the majority (even though the lore states Miqo'tes are uncommon, the playerbase choices makes it not so), it is kind of silly to make statements like that. Again, it's like being in Italy (I can only speak for my country since I've hardly ever seen the reset of the world) and complaining that's there's too many caucasians in it. It's Italy. We're a nation of caucasian. Or it'd be like going to Congo and say "there's so many black people here....!". It's just, weird. Link to comment

Imagine if you wound in up a new country, with wondrous new people in it. You meet thirty of them in a single day. Can you recollect them all clearly and distinctly at a later date? I meet between 15 and 30 new people every single work day. I can remember perhaps five of their names. It might not have been so dismissive. Again, though, I wasn't there so I'm just trying to rationalize. I trust your judgment of the situation. Link to comment

Chris Ganale Posted May 13, 2015 Share #119 Posted May 13, 2015 Well yes, but if the impression was that it's normal to see tan Seekers, I'd have gotten to preen a bit about having two pale Seekers. Link to comment
