ZoktaiKhor Posted May 13, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 13, 2015 What are your characters battle records? Wins/Draws/Losses? *I count 'losses' as when your character: can no longer fight, flees, gets saved, gives etc* Why is your record like so? Favorite Battle? Least Favorite Battle? Favorite Moment? Example: Zachary Volfire 41/6/27 Zach has great battles when he has time to prepared ,but fails miserably when his premade plans go awry or ice magic is involved. He usually uses Arcan magic or stealth from his Rouge training to excute complex attacks. However even a novice can beat him if they play off his fear of ice-based magic or his easy to agitate nature. Favorite Battle: Fighting the Quiz King Of Nym for a lost tome of Apocalypse. -He Lost Least Favorite: Was hired to help fight Shiva- He Lost-but the group won thanks to our WoL Favorite moment: When he trapped two Garleans using a knife, a rope ,a sack of grenade, ash and a match.-He Won Link to comment
Warren Castille Posted May 13, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2015 Most of Warrren's encounters ended without a clear winner or loser - combat typically ended because whatever goal that needing accomplishing got accomplished. Despite keeping his skills sharp, he doesn't see a lot of action. If we count the Grindstone, though, Warren's lost more than he's won by a small margin. Favorite fight: Braining the Beast with her own helmet at the Grindstone Least favorite: Being completely humbled by Howl, also at the Grindstone 1 Link to comment
Nataru Posted May 13, 2015 Share #3 Posted May 13, 2015 Oooh Nataru is 12-5 Favorite battle was against Flynt Reddard in the first golden fist tournament. Least favorite was against the pan wielding elezen that whipped her ass. Favorite moment is when she was helping some friends dispatch some voidsent and she used her friend Loki as a springboard to lunge and drive her daggers into a gargoyles skull. Link to comment
Sounsyy Posted May 13, 2015 Share #4 Posted May 13, 2015 What are your characters battle records? Wins/Draws/Losses? Grindstone Lore has this to say about Sounsyy Mirke: Note: Stopped updating because Sounsyy accumulated like fifty hojillion wins during her Reign of Terror But seriously, I think it was something like 25~ wins in a 5 week period of craziness at the Grindstone? Gotten a few combat wins outside of Grindstone as well, but I don't typically do a ton of combat outside that event. Least Favorite Moment: Any time Sounsyy's shield gets used as a stepping stool or springboard for someone's flying-kick-to-the-face attack. 1 Link to comment
Chris Ganale Posted May 13, 2015 Share #5 Posted May 13, 2015 Non-RP'd battles probably don't count, I wager. Looks at that -/-/- scorecard... Link to comment
Kage Posted May 13, 2015 Share #6 Posted May 13, 2015 Kage vs Denn = Kage wins Kage... won 1? Two Grindstones? That's like 6 matches won. Kage goes on expedition against Ifrit in the Order quest, 1 Kage killed two Brass Blades rescuing someone from a hidden Brass Blades prison. 2 Kage has lost many times in grindstone, I'll just make the number 50. One of them included his lover at the time cutting up Kage's shirt and the other's pants. When he was knocked unconscious, said other took his pants. Kage lost to Gharen at the Nanawa Mines. 1 Kage lost to Jin'li. 1 Kage lost to A crazy Roe who worked with Denn. 1 Kage lost to a Garlean mercenary, twice. 2 Kage won against the thing order of the raven's eye was looking for 11/55 Link to comment
Gegenji Posted May 13, 2015 Share #7 Posted May 13, 2015 I haven't really kept track of all of Chachan's wins and losses and whatnot. He did win the Grindstone once, though! Hasn't made it farther than round two since. If I personally had to name my least favorite battle, it'd probably be one of the slew of fights where I consistently failed to roll over, like, 300 in all my rolls. Heck, I did the average of a rolz-based tournament Coral ran a few days ago and I lost the second to last round because of my average for all the rolls that took place was 7 on a d20. A seven. But that's being more upset at the RNG than the fight itself! My favorite is probably the fight between Chachan and Virara. It ended up basically a draw, but it was fun to write even if it got a little over-the-top at times. And it was a vital part in developing the friendship between the two, which gives it bonus points. ChewableMorphine Posted May 13, 2015 Share #8 Posted May 13, 2015 Oh man I do too much IC fights to even count the score. I think I'm pretty equal, if not my wins only slightly outweighing my losses. Best fight was probably with either Nataru or Reiner. Worst fight would be any fight people actually took seriously. Like fam not my fault RNG hates you. Two Grindstones under Flynt's belt, one on another unnamed alt from around last year. Link to comment
Aaron Posted May 13, 2015 Share #9 Posted May 13, 2015 Aaron vs Caex'ra = Aaron lost but Caex'ra would have died had he not recieved attention to his slit throat. ^ a Fave Ill have to ponder over other fights honestly. Link to comment
Jana Posted May 14, 2015 Share #10 Posted May 14, 2015 If we count the Grindstone, though, Warren's lost more than he's won by a small margin. If we count the Grindstone and other randomized RP tournaments (Runestone, Otto's old barefist event), Jana's lost a lot more than she's won: She only has two Grindstone wins under her belt, and one of them was from the super-super-old Wednesday "practice" Grindstone that used to exist. Jana's favorite fights will be the ones where she gets to ICly fight a Primal or a big Dragon or something; I like RPing them out too because it's more cooperative with other players than a 1v1 matchup can be. Jana's least favorite fights are any where she loses without having gotten to show off at least once. From my OOC perspective, it often feels like my time to RP is being cut short... It happens often when the dice are mean! Link to comment

As long as you don't count eveyr genric mob encounter sure! I counted all the rp battles i had and 'key event battles' that i didnt have to rp but just see who won Link to comment
Hammersmith Posted May 14, 2015 Share #12 Posted May 14, 2015 5-3 so far for Hammer. If you count that time he just sucker punched a guy mid conversation as a fight >_> Link to comment
CrimsonMars Posted May 14, 2015 Share #13 Posted May 14, 2015 I don't remember all my fights actually. Not counting roll based fights, I find myself often losing because I'm one of the few that gives my character weakness and is met to grow as a fighter rather than start out god-like. I remember one fight ending in a draw with her other half-sister Karinia when they were sparring. Her favorite so far though is when she and her friends repelled Ifirt for the first time ICly. Her least favorite though is losing round one in anything in general. Grindstone especially. Link to comment

I don't think any of the characters I've seen have put themselves out as being "god-like fighters." Competent or possibly even good at combat, maybe, due to having put in the time and training to reach that level, but that's about it. I think the folks that put forth that their characters should never lose ever are more in the minority than the other way around. Link to comment

SunTzu7 Posted May 14, 2015 Share #16 Posted May 14, 2015 I reckon I have about a 70% win record of the various kinds of fights I get into. Once dice get involved though, any fight I'm in takes about a minimum of half an hour to resolve because the dice gods are extremely passive aggressive towards Artemis. Oh look at you thinking you're all that. Well YOU'RE NOT. Have some terrible rolls. ... Actually you are all that, let's have the other guy have terribleier rolls! Rinse and repeat until the dice gods make a sodding commitment. Link to comment
