One and all is invited to come give thanks and hear inspirational words in regards to Azeyma.

Azeyma, keeper of the sun and goddess of inquiry, commands the element of fire and is tied to the Fifth Astral Moon (ninth month). The miqo'te Seekers of the Sun's devotion to her pervades their culture. She is depicted as a noble lady holding a golden fan, and her symbol is the radiant sun.

Event starts at Camp Drybone in Eastern Thanalan (X:13 Y:24) on Saturday September 26th at 3:00PM Eastern EDT (Time Converter).

For Pilgrims:

 • During the performance, pilgrims are asked to be silent in the public channels. Emotes with /em, /say, and /yell are asked to be held off until the main performance is over.
 • Animation and sound emotes are welcomed! Please just turn the text off on them during the performance.
 • In lieu of reacting in /em and /say, pilgrims are encouraged to form parties with their friends and groups to react to each other in /p - that should help with the text bloat and keep the reactions more personal and immersed with the main people pilgrims want to interact with.
 • Anyone willing to host a "during performance" party for those who come on their own please contact me so I can find you at the event start and get people together to interact and meet. If a group of friends has room in their party and wouldn't mind hosting a new addition, that would be wonderful too. We'll sort it out at the start of the event.
 • After the performance, everyone is welcome to use /em and /say and can change parties as wanted.

Music and stories from some special guest speakers and bards will highlight the evening. After the presentation, everyone is encouraged to mingle, give prayers and thoughts, or partake in the smaller congregations.

Blessings and wisdom will be given to those who wish in attendance as well as an item for confessions.

Entire main event is planned to last a hour with hosts staying around afterwards for free-form role play.

~While this is a pilgrimage in celebration of one of the Twelve, really would like to express the theme and environment of this event is to come together and have an inspiration evening for each other and on reflection. This night will not have strong overtones of worship and ceremony.~

Hm, if it goes as usual, I should have Saturday off for the 26 so I might have John there.  With John being friends with/having a crush on Howl and knowing very little of not only Keeper but Seeker culture, this would be of great interest for John.  Cross your fingers Jancis and hope that I get lucky with Saturday again.

Hah, looking forward to this although I'm feeling nervous now :P guess I'll have to really really work on studying Azeyma OOC

That's how I feel every month  I'm sure it'll all fall into place though! Everyone always reminds me of that.

Will do!

I'm hoping for some of that too.

eeee so excited to go! kinda sad it's the last one but jancis and anyone that's performed have done such an amazing job each month. seriously this was my favorite recurring event and it will be missed. <3

There's still room if anyone would like to help out and say some words about the Warden. Just let me know in game or via PM.

This is going to be your last Celebration Day event? aw man, that breaks my heart. These are some of the best events I've ever been to. Really looking forward to this one, and thank you for all the hard work you've put into running these. Every one I've gone to has had a significant impact on the character I brought for it and they've really meant a lot to me.

Really looking forward to this one.

 Thank you so much!

I'm really looking forward to this one. Should also have Tausenadel to tell one of his infamous "true" stories.

And Clio has helped out with questions and stuff (thank you ) and I'll keep spreading the word online.

I agree with this 100%. These events have been fantastic and I am very thankful that Jancis gave members of my branch of HoD the chance to take part in these.

This is never a bad idea. Love Tau's "Tau-l Tales." ;)

:lol::lol::lol: Hehehehehe oh you :) (I do, too!)

Aw Milly, you shouldn't have <3

Shouldn't have? I hope a lot of tribal love shows up.

The first time I saw the line of guards out on the path then rejoin everyone walking was amazing. Everyone has added so much creativity and made it way more than the small idea I had of not an onslaught of text.

Um, but still just think about it as the others! Please

Alas, I have plans on Saturday. Was hoping to make the last one, but I'll send something along ;) Good luck to the performers, and thank you Jancis for such a wonderful event! It was fun to perform for the ones I did, fun to attend the rest. It was also nice to make a few friends while doing it! Thank you so much. You're a wonderful person!:love::love::love::love:

Going to send out some letters and well wishes online to help promote the event. I was overwhelmed by beautiful weddings all weekend so notes for all the helpers will go out shortly and will try to spread the word more online. :)

Sucks this will be the last one. Plan on attending it anyway, but still. Sad I missed the one for Nald'thal, but was probably before I really started to RP and knew of this site.

Thank you. Again very kind to and blown away to how many people have responded to this.

In truth I had mentioned the last thing as an anecdote to people who were planning on writing pieces for future months and to close friends. It wasn't really an intention to have that highlighted here.

I'd like to stress that the theme of the event is not going to change.

It will not have overtones or themes about this being Jancis' last pilgrimage; it's going to stay focused on the theme as it always strives to.

I'll make a post on the Bulletin with some IC reasons people can know about it tomorrow, but still it's a great excuse to meet people with same RP-likes and in-character connections.

- A Seeker of the Sun with strong cultural roots.

- A Seeker of the Sun or mixed tribe miqo'te looking to learn more of their heritage.

- Those seeking to confess and take in other morals that Azeyma represents

- People who are just curious in general for the sake of it (Thaliak be praised :P)

- People who like bards music

- Their friends are going/ people they want to see

- They got hired to work at it

- They had some time to kill and everyone was walking that direction.

I can't agree more with this. Remember the real reason behind this event, it is the same as it has always been for the pilgrimages.

I doubt that IC many people would know that this was the last one anyway.

At the same time, I think you can see just how much this community supports you OOC Jancis.

if I had know about the pilgrimage thing earlier, I would have gone to prior ones (well one barely been here a month and a half!)

Awww!  Also I still have to search your name when I'm online :dazed: doh I keep goofing that up.

So, I got lucky and will have the weekend off.  I'll have John there to learn more about Seeker/Howl culture and Azeyma, since being the Goddess of inquiry, she would tie into Thaliak.  How can you not seek knowledge if you do not inquire about it? ;)

Eeee so much fun. I was trying to read into it some and with some inspiration background the inquiry is definitely a nice broad spot for interpretation which is good for character development! I've read it as confessions, vows to protect, seeking the truth and honesty, and other themes like 'not living in the dark'/having an open mind. Lots of avenues! Bug all the Sun Seeker friends for info. Mwahahaha

Posted up a little bit of immersion on the bulletin. Included a mix of styles including sun dancing, confessions, tribe offerings, that'll hopefully be inspiring.

Excited for the weekend!

It was really wonderful!

Thanks to everyone who wrote up special songs and stories for it.

Big thank you to those people who made groups and invited new people to meet and talk with.

And everyone who stayed around after the performances to talk and meet up with others.

I managed to get a few snippets done to post today. I'll try to get all the screenshots and logs up over the next week. Maybe two weeks
