Jancis Posted November 20, 2015 Share #26 Posted November 20, 2015 If it helps the quest for the dance starts at Gridania's Inn http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Saw_That_One_Coming It's a little weird and be ready to run around some of the city to get it. Link to comment
Star Lin Posted November 20, 2015 Share #27 Posted November 20, 2015 *sigh* Wish I could have Kestlona or John there to see it but I'll be at work until 4:30 pm and then Sis and I are going to grab a bite to eat at the house before heading off to see TSO. Link to comment
Telluride Posted November 22, 2015 Author Share #28 Posted November 22, 2015 UPDATE! If any performer wants to change his/her position on the roster, let me know! Aya made a special RL-related request to go first, so I have honored it, but I can move the rest of the order around if our performers would like. I may be adding myself in with a duet performance if I can get it working properly by tomorrow. So, bards, crowds, chocolate, dancing, bonfires, and big fun - get there! Link to comment
Khunbish Avagnar Posted November 22, 2015 Share #30 Posted November 22, 2015 unfortunately due to reasons I am having to cancel my notice that I'll be attending, have fun all! Link to comment
Asmodean Posted November 22, 2015 Share #31 Posted November 22, 2015 Hmm.... I'll be around but having taken a break from ff14 I have no idea how the group pose works. I would guess I just put in {/gpose harvestdance} , as part of a party? Link to comment
Telluride Posted November 22, 2015 Author Share #32 Posted November 22, 2015 Hmm.... I'll be around but having taken a break from ff14 I have no idea how the group pose works. I would guess I just put in {/gpose harvestdance} , as part of a party? Fair question - here's the basic process. /gpose will make your character do the last pose/emote he or she did, in synch with anyone else you are nearby and partied with. So, each person in the party would do the /harvestdance, then stop it, and then one member enters "/gpose". You will get a special cam view of the group all doing the emote at once and in synch, and if it is a dance, it will continue as it has been. You can hit your Escape key to get out of the cam view and back into normal game view, and it will not interrupt the dance. However, be aware that the Harvest Dance covers different amounts of ground depending on your character's size. A Lalafell doing the dance moves left to right just a bit, and a Roegadyn takes up a lot of space, and may bump into nearby people. Link to comment

Telluride Posted November 23, 2015 Author Share #36 Posted November 23, 2015 Massive, massive thanks to all who came out, audience and performers alike. We had a record number of bards, this time, and some unbelievably good acts. I can't wait to see what you can all do for next month's show.. When we reveal the theme! Stay alert for the announcement in the days to come. Link to comment

Tali Posted November 23, 2015 Share #38 Posted November 23, 2015 Deffo a great night all round! Fun was had, both in the party chat, and watching the collective performances A big thanks to everyone who made it so enjoyable. (Also gave me a chance to mess around with the /icam command (Fantastic command, that one! Thank you Square ), and depth of field focal points. Might have missed a few things while tweaking the mediator.) The full gallery dump can be found here: http://imgur.com/a/b5GHg 2 Link to comment
Erah'sae Posted November 23, 2015 Share #39 Posted November 23, 2015 This made for a rather interesting first event. I got to make a few contacts and generally had a good time of it. Maybe next time I'll pull a story or two out. The stories and songs were great, and it was quite smoothly run. I hope to see you all about. http://images.cybersomnia.com/ffxiv/firstsnow_groundfloor.png[/img] (click for a full sized version) Link to comment
Aya Posted November 23, 2015 Share #40 Posted November 23, 2015 I loved the idea of this event, and the performances I saw were so terrific! I'm sorry I had to leave early Here's the poem that I wrote for the occasion: First Snow When each day's new sun grows briefer and wan The bleak evening moon, will glimmer with snow And Crystal-like frost will shimmer with dawn And hoarfrost will end the bright autumn show And all will soon know, that winter is here. And all will soon know, that winter is here. When snow's first fall meets dim evening moonlight Its falling, its falling, its silent, and still And glimmers and shimmers to greatest delight A falling, soft blanket that covers the hill. We feel the great joy, that winter is here. We feel the great joy, that winter is here. Let us be ready, for bare winter freeze Each stocked and prepared, each stocked and made ready. An end to all playful diversion and ease. The season is hardship, fearsome and heady. For now we all know, that winter is here. For now we all know, that winter is here. 'Round warm fire sitting, we come and we gather. To share our good will, and wait for the cease, Of this cold winter season, would that we rather, Remember for calm - and remember for peace. We are together, and winter is here. We are together, and winter is here. In its own way, it makes things more clear. It shows us our love, and what is so dear. There is no reason for panic nor reason for fear: It is only the passing, the passing of time That one true condition, of all that has been: The dawn is the darkest, at the start of each year, It still holds such promise, and reason for cheer. So let us be still, the first snowfall is here. So let us be still, the first snowfall is here. 1 Link to comment
