Sun'ra Posted April 26, 2016 Share #159 Posted April 26, 2016 *Wanders in* If you have the monies, I would definitely recommend Sunday Riley's Good Genes from Sephora. It has a bit of clinical scent, but you could also just use it as a before bed thing, instead of a morning thing. But, personally I don't mind it, and it has definitely evened out my skin tone when used daily with some sunscreen.(I don't use a moisturizer because it makes my skin super oil) 1 Link to comment
Duplicitous Dame Posted April 26, 2016 Share #160 Posted April 26, 2016 *rolls and flops into the thread* Hiyo! I have combination skin (oily T-zone, dry patches on my cheeks), so I like to use Benefit Foamingly Clean as my face wash. For moisturizers I use Benefit Total Moisture on my face, Benefit It's Potent! eye cream, and for when I need a touch up I spritz on the Benefit Ultra Radiance Hydrating Mist. (As you can see, there's a running theme here lol). If I have to go "drug store", I use Burt's Bees hands down. My make up varies, but I swap between Benefit, Too Faced, and Urban Decay. Usually I keep it simple with primer, liquid foundation, powder on top to set it, and then eyeliner, mascara, and either lipgloss or lipstick. I always carry a make up bag with a "full face" cause you never know when you'll need it. Drug store make up I tend to use Revlon or Rimmel London. I'm a sucker for red lipstick, though. Gimme alllllll the red shades. Right now I've been in love with the Nyx Lingerie liquid-to-matte lipsticks. Easy to apply, doe foot applicator, doesn't smear. Stays on fairly well and doesn't crumble on my lips. However, I'M MAD CAUSE I CAN NEVER FIND THE COLOR 'EXOTIC'! I may just throw in the towel and order the damned thing. I want that red shade! One last thing. Uh hello, Jeffree Star velour lipstick? Yes, please <3. Who else is with me? Not sure if they've been mentioned yet or not. Need to go back and peruse the rest of this thread lol. 1 Link to comment

I've used them, as well. If I don't use my Benefit Porefessional Matte Rescue, then I love using the It Cosmetics No. 50 as a moisturizer/primer. A little goes a very long way and it doesn't leave a residue. Definitely worth the price if you ask me. I have sensitive skin, too, and it'll literally freak out over the tiniest thing. Gets really frustrating at times. I actually have no idea what that is. :dodgy: Say whaaaaaaaaaat!? Oh, no. No no no. Lemme fix this. Here are a few of my favorite colors: Unicorn Blood, Redrum, Androgyny, Doll Parts, Masochist, Blow Pony What's also frustrating is that he sells out of these colors, and a few others, hella quick. So I've been eyeballing them intensely lol. Link to comment

The primer I've been using most has been the TooFaced Hangover Rx, because it's so moisturizing. I recently picked up the It Cosmetics CC Cream, and I really like it (since it doesn't cling to dry patches like a lot of foundations will), but it cakes up slightly on my chin for some reason and I can't really figure out why. I thought maybe I should avoid putting concealer there, and that has minimized some of the cakeyness, but it still occurs there and on my nose (where my glasses sit, but that's not really something you can do anything about). GhostlyMaiden Posted April 27, 2016 Share #167 Posted April 27, 2016 These are honestly some of the best names for lipstick i've ever seen. I have a few things I want to talk about, but don't have time to go searching for links n' such. EDIT: I'm someone who will buy what's cheap and works. This is mainly because I don't like the idea of spending $30 on eyeliner. However, I will do so when it's something I MUST have. Now going back to what I actually use/will be using. With the recent costume i've been constructing, I thought it was a great excuse to actually wear eyeshadow. So, I bought The Nudes Palette from Maybelline for about $13. Can't wait to try it out. The current mascara i'm using is Voluminous Butterfly Mascara. It's easy to use, and I don't have to worry about clumps. My Kat Von D that I gotten as a gift has sadly dried out and right now i'm using Colour Riche Eyeliner. I don't use lipstick often, but after seeing all of these links, I just might buy some. I think I might next time I have some extra cash. Weenie is a really cute color, tho I'm leaning more towards Porter cause its purple. Maybe I'll just get Where The Night Is, it has a nice green with it. I'm not super fond of yellows, but I'm sure I'd be able find a way to use it to my liking(or throw it at a friend). But first things first! Lumière! D< In other news, I got the PB&J palette from Too Faced. It smells AMAZING, I want to gobble it all up. ; w ; It applies really well too. Link to comment

Velaena Posted May 2, 2016 Share #174 Posted May 2, 2016 I have only just come across this so answer OP's questions... My current winter look is very dark plum colour created by layer not one...but TWO lip colours. The bonus us that they are very light and don't feel ike you're wearing a tonne of makeup. The first is a lovely dark pink called Sugar Plum by No7 (I don't know if it's available in the US but any dark pink lipstick will do), then on top of that is Calvin Klein Berry Cool lip gloss (£2.99 from TJ Hughes!). This gives you a nice subtle shine and darkens the pink to juust the right amount for me. If I want a darker colour I will layer some Estee Lauder Hot Kiss lipstick under the gloss. This is all done with a lip brush and the product is used sparingly. As for other products...I tend to bounce around a bit depending on what I can afford at the time. Primer: Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Primer in Green Foundation: MAC studio fix in NC15 Powder: COVER FX Matte Setting Powder in Fair Eyeliner: Kat Von D Tattoo Liner + Lancome pencil liner both in Black My lovely Kaguya sporting her everyday look. Dark shadow and black eyeliner paired with and dark red lipstick. 1 Link to comment
