Aedan Marceaux Posted February 23, 2016 Share #4 Posted February 23, 2016 A good amount of these are fairly obvious where they drop or whatever, but is there a compiled (or compiling) list that you know of as to where these drop (or are crafted or whatever the case may be)? (Yes, I realize it's patch day... So much content to deal with ermagerd!) Link to comment

(Yes, I realize it's patch day... So much content to deal with ermagerd!) The screenshot in the patch notes showed a series of ???? entries and the one moused over had a "Complete this achievement to unlock" subtext, but I'm wondering if the item-use ones are just going to be listed as "Use Scroll of 'Tenacity' to unlock" thing. At work, can't check, also curious, going stir-crazy. Pessimism says that they're likely crafted with Masterworks IV Alchemy. Link to comment
Delilah Scythewood Posted February 23, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted February 23, 2016 I'll be updating the list as I find things! So far they're spread all over: some you buy with tomes. Some with MGP. Some you only get after collecting so much of the music. Others are drops from dungeons. The list goes on. Link to comment
Kage Posted February 23, 2016 Share #7 Posted February 23, 2016 For example, Thunderer (T5) http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/recipe/67197d1b986/ Master Alchemist II tome so it's not relatively hard. (Unlike the replica recipes which require like 3-star specialists). Difficulty 1054 Durability 80 Maximum Quality 2891 Characteristics Quick Synthesis Unavailable Craftsmanship Required: 451 Control Required: 407 So if you got some red scrips gear or even earlier it should be doable as Alchemist. http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/recipe/?category2=6&patch=latest Answers requires you to farm T4, T5 and T9, Alchemist Specialist. >.> Link to comment
Delilah Scythewood Posted February 23, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted February 23, 2016 Pessimism says that they're likely crafted with Masterworks IV Alchemy. The orchestrion notes are crafted with alchemy and don't require much to make save for collecting the 'faded copies' that are drops or obtained. The Orchestrion itself, however, takes Master IV Carpentry to make. Link to comment

Locked behind some ridiculous 4 star craft with near impossible mats to acquire. My hope is that they are obtained through "rare" (hopefully more common than original atmas) drops from dungeons and maybe fates, one or two star crafts at the highest, maybe even some gathering ones... Perhaps even retainer ventures? Achievement ones would be fine, too, I guess... Maybe... But yeah, also at work. It's why I asked instead of googling for myself. Marcy Posted February 23, 2016 Share #14 Posted February 23, 2016 I still kind of wish you could compose your own tunes on it, a-la Animal Crossing. But personally, I want to get the Waking Sands theme, deck out a small house as the Waking Sands entrance, and linkpearl my friends to meet me at the solar until I don't have any. 1 Link to comment

Well it's not an achievement. As you can see with the Ultima Roll, it would be listed. I'm pretty sure it would be listed if it directly dropped in a chest (as the faded copies do as well as allagan aetherstones). Also, it -should- be listed somehow if it was like Ifrit's Horn. You can purchase that from the NPC!
