[align=center]Never before has unity been so critical to the survival and well being of Hydaelyn and her children. On this day, we will come together in celebration of all those who walk together in this world. Many we are, no two the same, but more alike than we know. Flyers and posters can be found in every major city and town, calling everyone to unite for this celebration. Come to see a coalescence of culture, enjoy the company of old friends, and make new friends.[/align]

Come and join us for a day of fun, friendship, and excitement. The festival encourages the community to come in cultural dress if they'd like, and bring an appetite and thirst for learning something new. There will be several areas within The Goblet Exchange with various activities being hosted by our wonderful community, so please make sure you check everything out! [/align]

Bistro Le Beau will be present as a food vendor booth, hosted by kitchen wizard Lydia Lightfoot and any aides she can muster. In addition to serving tempting culinary delights inspired by the great regions of Eorzea, the booth will also have information available about the Reliquarian's Guild for those interested in exploration and treasure hunting.

 

The booth menu will be available soon.

Chachanji and his family will also be there, representing Doman culture!

 

... It will mostly consist of him selling little trinkets of Doman design - bracers with Doman symbols on it and the like - and offering to talk a bit about Othardian ores and metallurgy. :blush:

Ser Vilette Laurent of Falcon's Nest will be hosting basic lessons on the ~**knightly arte**~ of fencing in order to represent the people of Western Coerthas (and to shill promote her book/treatise)!

 

There will be 4 1-hour lessons from 12PM to 4PM, that will consist of basic techniques, principles, and tactics, as well as a Q&A session.

 

Participants will be provided equipment.

WYNG is so hyped for this!!!!

 

We've been rehearsing twice a week in preparation. Hours of "... and again from the top.. T_T".

 

We're also excited to introduce some special guests... But I'll let Zhara spill the dish on that one =P. Anyway! Please come see us at the festival. We really tried to put together an awesome performance for everyone with a ton of energy!

This coming weekend- get hyped! 

 

The Veil will be on-station in the Gridania area to sear up some steaks- done Miqo'te style, with herbs and spices used by the tribes themselves! And really, who doesn't like a good 'ol slab of medium-rare meat? The answer? Heathens. That's who. Menphina help the poor soul who asks for a steak well-done. Those people are politely, but firmly, asked to leave.

Now that my brain has had time to turn back on...

 

Big thank you to everyone who was involved with the festival committee and putting things together. This was a huge community undertaking, and boy did we run with it. 

 

To give some insight on the behind the scenes... Imagine a room full of like 40 people throwing glitter and listening to loud music while we try to keep our dorito cheese off the nice things we're making. That was our discord planning hub, lol! This was over a month in the making, and took quite a bit of time, care, thought, and hair loss from all of our volunteer staff, vendors, performers, and models. If you attended and run into one of our vendors, models, performers, or staff, please thank them! They definitely deserve like 800 pats on the back.

 

Thank you also to everyone who came out to the festival! I know it was a long one, but hopefully you had fun- and made some friends!!!! Props to the community for flexing your RP muscle and showing how strong and thriving we are, even with the server lock. WOW, that audience participation in the fireworks show, tho! Share screen shots!

 

 

Again, thank you to everyone involved in any way, shape, or form. This project was possible because we have some insanely dedicated, creative, and talented people on this server. SHOUT OUT TO BALMUNG!!!!! *gang signs*

A big 'THANK YOU' to the coordinators and folks that came together to organize and the attendees for making the event a big success.
