I mean that I'm still trying to figure it out xD, the code when copied just came up in a code box.

Make sure to change your posting options to something a little less conflicting. I'd recommend MyCodeEditor.

The default posting mode auto formats in your post box, which can make things a headache since you can't see any of the tags.

Dirty Coral: A sharp piece of coral covered in something dark reddish-brown. Dried

blood, maybe?

Moko Grass: Best enjoyed on the 20th day of the 4th Astral Moon while listening to your favorite bard. Bring snacks.

Resinated Pipe: A well-worn pipe full of sticky black resin.

Knucks: A multi-purpose tool used by pugilists, primarily as a weapon, but can double as a hammer, a grain mill, a can opener, and an antidepressant.

Dad's Net: A net full of holes. Somewhere in La Noscea, an old man weeps.

Yeah, I have no idea why there's so much space up top here.

Gil: Not exact rich, but this girl apparently had enough to set her up for the night at the inn. Now you can do the same.

Iron ore: This is a decently sized hunk of ore, and not bad quality, either. If you aren't a weaponsmith or armorsmith, you should sell it to someone who is.

Large ruby: Wow! Not only is this gem super large for a ruby, but it's clearly been polished and worked to give off the most shine! A goldsmith would probably pay a pretty penny for a gem like this.

Technical manual: This old tome is filled with diagrams and calculations that make very little sense to the average person. To someone who knows schematics and a decent amount of arcane lore, this manual could very well teach you how to build your own magitek golem! Or... it could just be junk.

Diamond-tipped pickaxe: Who in their right mind would waste diamonds on a pick-axe? Sure it makes the pick-axe so strong it can break through any ore or mineral, but still! What a waste of a perfectly good diamond!

Looks like you stumbled across quite the odd haul. Let's take a look:

Unusual Pendant: A strange necklace on a large-linked silver chain. The "pendant" is actually a relief piece, circular, molded in the shape of a wolf's head consuming its own tail. The center is hollow, but there is a bright and somewhat shiny red stone in the centerpiece. Looking at it, you feel kind of odd. Better not sell it, because it might come in handy in the future. Perhaps you can take it to someone?

Kevaraan's Spear: Out of all Kevaraan's myriad disciplines, this is the weapon he's most likely to be carrying. The large spearhead is embossed with some sort of red detailing, and the handle looks to be hand-carved, adorned with feathers. It's always kept razor-sharp. If you're greedy, I guess you could sell it for a quick buck.

Beast Blood: Was this guy an alchemist, a smith, or something else entirely? You wonder what type of dedication it takes to scoop blood into vials, and what constitutes "High Quality" for blood. Probably that of an alchemist, you hope.

Pouch of Gemstones and Herbs: Curse the Twelve! These are all mixed together, and you'll have a hard time sorting them! Who on Hydaelyn keeps their gems and herbs in one bag? (You can open this to receive a selection of three herb types and three gemstones from whatever area Kevaraan was in when you killed him. Each type holds five of each.)

Fiction Anthology: A collection of short stories and poems that's surprisingly thick. It's mostly in good condition. It probably won't sell to most merchants for more than a few gil, but maybe you can hawk it at the market to someone else for more. (This item is readable.)

Small Charcoal Rubbing: You aren't sure what to do with this. It is a small artwork of Kevaraan with a young woman. She is seated, and Kevaraan is standing next to her. They must have been close.

Gil: Money is the least interesting thing he was carrying...

Amid mostly useless bobbles and junk, you find the following:

Bundle of Love Letters

A bundle of letters that appear somewhat weathered from being kept a long time. It includes a love letter addressed to a "Princess Nanamo Ul Namo", a more recent letter composed to Momodi at the Ul'dah Adventurer's guild, another to a Kikipu, and the rest are to individuals whose names are unfamiliar. A common pattern among love letters addressed to non-lalafell is that if he were larger, he would carry them into the sunset, but alas, he will settle for hugs instead.

Strawberry Sized Diamond

This tremendously huge gem must be worth a small fortune. A slip of paper from the same box reads "To my future wife and betrothed." On the back of that same slip, it reads "What's useless to a goblin..."

Orange Sized Ruby

If the last one was worth a fortune, then this must be enough to buy a small kingdom! A paper slip in the same box reads "This thing is totally cursed. Do not try to pick it up or sell it without express permission of Velito Angelito. I'm definitely not lying. I would never think of writing a letter to purposely lie for the protection of my property. Yep, I'm a totally honest lalafell."

Full Waterskin labeled Kakajuju

You're not sure what the stuff is, but an inscription on the waterskin reads "It kills cowardice... and most everything else. Wards against tempering to boot!"

Congratulations, you've slain a small, unassuming Lalafell. Strangely, despite stabbing him repeatedly and hearing him cry out in agony, he never actually bled until you chopped off his head. As you loot his corpse, you discover why...

  • A Curious Book - Out of the many books stuffed into the pockets inside his robe, which served as the peculiar armor that protected him from most of your attacks, one has managed to survive relatively unscathed. A quick perusal of its contents reveals it to be a steamy novel. Oh, and there are illustrations as well... oh. Oh no. That's just wrong on so many levels. Toss it away quick and wash your hands in that nearby stream. Unless you want to try to sell it. But do you really want to carry that thing around?

  • A Tattered List - This list seems to detail a number of names, locations, and strange titles. You can only assume that the ones that are crossed out are the names of those he was carrying around inside his robes. Judging by the numbers next to each one, you can only assume that they were collector's items of a sort. Who would pay that much for a disgusting book like that?

  • The Gil - Perhaps he was on his way back home after purchasing his latest find? It will not even begin to cover the booze you will need to erase the memory of that illustration from your mind. Good luck.

It's because the default posting method automatically hides the format tags when you're posting, and displays everything already formatted, as if it were a normal document in word for example.

Which is nice and all, but when you're trying to actually do things beyond just writing, it gets annoying.

Gil: Decent sum of gil found in the deceased's belt pack. Who carries so much gil on their person? Someone just asking to get ganked! You better deposit this quick yourself.

Breastplate: A cobalt breastplate that, aside from a few nicks and dings, seems to be in good working order. Probably only fits Miqo'te.

Storm Captain's Insignia: A pretty metal military insignia depicting the Lominsan standard. Sure hope you weren't a Storm Private.

Fate-die: A tiny die used as currency by the Qiqirn. It's a bit ironic that she met this fate and that you got this drop. What kind of fate will the holder of this die fall victim too?

Gil: This is quite a large amount of gil. He must have spent a lot of it on a tab in the Quicksand. What did he do? Rob a Lalafell family with a large tradition in Goldsmithing?

Crumpled Note: This has the seal of Ul'dah and it was sent by the Sultansworn. It's quite old and it talks about some trials. Wonder why he kept it?

Black Woolen Beret: The Miqo'te was wearing a hat. Perhaps you got one for yourself?

Gallant Surcoat: Is this surcoat not one given to the respected Sultansworn? What was he doing with one?

White Woolen Beret: This Miqo'te just seems to like the beret. Why's this one so special and white? Maybe it goes well with the surcoat.

Doming Hammer: This small, durable hammer looped through the slain Lalafell's belt is made of high-grade metal and has a varnished ash handle with a simple filigree. It is well-used but was clearly well-cared for. It won't be worth much to anyone who isn't a metalworker or a goldsmith, but if you know of any, you might make some gil off it.

1000-3000 Gil: It was probably the jingling of all that gil that drew your attention in the first place. Had this Lalafell never heard of a bank before?

Bound Leather Workbook: A pocket-sized log filled with random notes: what appears to be a list of customers and a ledger of goods sold; rough sketches of armor designs and a lot of jargon on alloys; supply lists; and a few journal entries. Utterly useless unless you want to find out more about the Lalafell you murdered (not likely), or are interested in taking on his clientele. (Even less likely)

Lalafell-sized Red Breastplate: You are either very strong, very nimble, or avoided going for the Lalafell's torso altogether when you killed him. Though thin enough to be worn semi-discretely even under plainclothes, this particular breastplate's design makes it adept at turning away thrusts. It's pretty poor against crushing blows, though, and the simple metal shoulder straps leave the underarms exposed. But depending on how you killed him, you might already know that.

War Axe & Tomahawk: A simple bearded axe nearly as tall as the Lalafell himself, and a considerably smaller tomahawk. If these dropped, you are probably losing a lot of blood right now, and may be missing limbs. You'll be glad for the gil purse when you visit a healer.
